Personally, I am not enjoying it. But that is primarily because I hate playing control decks, which seem to be the only viable decks right now. 15+ turn games every single game is kind of a grind. That being said, it seems like every class has a more than halfway decent control deck, which is good to see. Seems like control Warlock is already king tho.
Do you think it's at all possible for aggro or mid range to be viable in this expansion?
yeah that's true, Hunter was getting a lot of play for awhile though. Seems like Blizzard always over corrects issues in the meta, there always seems to be one class that doesn't get much play, which was Warlock for Un'goro.
Personally, I despise aggro decks and feel like they lack any form of skill necessary to win the game since it's basically just play a minion or weapon and hit face for five turns until the game is over, which really ruins the overall enjoyment of this game. I love this new meta and I sincerely hope that Blizzard continues to support this kind of meta because control decks make for long and interesting games full of thoughtful and skillful decision making.
I think it's OK. Honestly I haven't won a lot of games lately. I'm not sure if you've seen the new aggro paladin deck featuring the argent squire that has taunt but it's been tearing up the high ranks. Some pro players are running The Black Knight again to take out The Lich King which everyone is running. I'd like to try out all of the new cards to some extent though it hasn't been realistic to experiment at the rank I'm currently sitting at on the ladder. I'll try out all the new cards next month.
The current meta is trash in wild. The new Warlock cards are so ridiculously powerful that even Renolocks' natural counter, mill rogue, cannot beat it. Something needs to be done.
The lack of aggro right now coupled with the amount of decision making I'm forced to do make this meta pretty fun so far. I have a couple decks I'm determined to make good regardless of how the meta shakes out so we'll see how that goes lol
It's great, aside from the intolerable jade druid. I'm aware that its removal might turn the game into a control priest fest, but at this point I just don't care. Most of the new control cards in this expansion are insanely powerful, but they still can't compete with jades, it's crazy. The mechanic needs to die in a fire.
I don't know about the "meta" maybe I have been just lucky or my decks are good against it but I have been smashing it with Jade Rogue and Control Paladin, haven't loss a lot against the Warlock Deck everyone is playing atm.
Aggro seems non existent but I haven't try Pirate Warrior to see how it plays out, tried zoo though and it did so-so, Evolve Shaman seems good as well.
I feel a bit spoiled because ungoro was such a good expansion that this one feels probably a lot worse than it actually is in comparison. It's not the worst meta hearthstone has had, but it's definitely not great. It feels like this will be a 3 to 5 class meta and hearthstone is at its best when 7 or 8 classes are strong and viable. So I expect a lot less diversity and a generally less balanced meta than we had in ungoro but I'm holding out hope for either better deck creation by the community or some nerfs to fix that soon.

A mill rogue lol a BS meme deck that should always be a joke on the ladder.
I do not like it... You need a lot of arcane dust to craft kinda good deck... And also Hunter is underdog once again... Nice job, Blizzard!
that's my big gripe about a control heavy meta, it's very inaccessible for newer players. Most control decks tend to have a lot of expensive cards in them. It's less of an issue now for me, but I started playing when Old Gods came out, which was very frustrating for that reason.
It's been alright. I'm not seeing much new, just moderate tweaks on old. Wilds a little completely fucking borked at the moment, which is sad as that's my normal ladder but I've got nothing to compete with that warlock and have been throat-slammed back into the 10 floor something fierce. I've seen so much jade mid-rank in standard I'd excuse someone for being unaware the new expansions dropped.
as long as i play controllock, i will give it a thumbs up
for me KoTF is like a TGT (few decks will be modified) and most likely the decks we see now will be replaced by better ones, un'goro ones, but i enjoy the remaining time with my main class

Bad. Hunter got the shaft again.

I wouldn't go so far as to talk about a "meta" in the first few days of an expansion.^^

All hero cards make the game better, even the understimated Valeera.
Aggro have to open perfect hands or just concede.
Jade druid have good matchs vs control but the hero cards, especially priest, can turn the tables around.
Warlock back.
This is the best meta ever and a like Un'Goro meta.
Much better than 50% hunter undertaker, 100% shaman or MSoG metas.

too early to even decide which decks are tier 1

I am enjoying the meta. This is usually the best time for HS for me as people are trying new decks and I have fun losing to really creative decks.
Games do tend to be longer which is not a bad thing...quality over quantity any time.
