So I've been messing around with Weasel Tunneler and Baron Rivendare and had a couple weird things happen. The first is that when both Baron and the weasel are on my board and the weasel dies, instead of shuffling two weasels into my opponents deck like you'd think, it shuffles one into my deck and one into my opponents.
The second weird thing happened when I was playing against a preist. They used Thoughtsteal and got my Baron and played him when I had a weasel on my side of the board that was buffed with Ancestral Spirit. When I killed my weasel instead of sending one weasel into his deck and re-summoning him like I thought would happen, two weasels popped up on my opponents side of the board.
I'm sure this is probably something to do with the order in which the actions on the cards are performed, but it was very bizarre. Not calling it a bug but can anyone clarify what could be happening?
It also has a weird interaction with Reincarnate. When your opponent uses Reincarnate on their Weasel, it shuffles the Weasel into your deck but then the Weasel is resummoned to your side of the field instead of theirs.
With Baron according to the text it should borrow into your opponents deck. Then being your opponents card now. It should borrow into your deck on the second trigger.
Some things seem straight bugged though. I was watching Kripp and two weasels got reincarnated. One went to Kripps board, and the other stayed on his opponents board. Both things can not be right, right?
It's probably a similar reason as to why playing Entomb used to return Djinni of Zephyrs back to your deck (Atleast i think that was changed).
Baron puts a Weasel to the opponents deck and a Weasel to yours, because after putting one to your opponents deck it now considers the Weasel Tunneler not belonging to you anymore and as the text says it shuffles itself to the opponents the deck and you're the opponent now.
Same with Reincarnate. The Weasel is now considered to belong to the player who has it in their deck and thus also gets the Weasel summoned to their side of the field.
Try submitting a bug report on Battle.net forums. It sounds like one of those "since we know this card is going to be crappy, we didn't bother really testing it" thing.

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
the deathrattle of weasel has 2 stages: 1. chage the owner of this minion 2. shuffle this minion into the deck
so: a. if rivendare on board the weasel will be shuffled into your deck b. reincarnate/ancestral spirit/moat lurker will revive it on your opponents board c. if opponent has cult master, he will draw a card when your weasel dies
Weasel Tunneler dies: Opponent gains control of it and it gets shuffled into his deck. It's basically like him casting "Entomb" on it. Baron Riverdare triggers: Weasel Tunneler dies again, but since it's the opponent's Weasel Tunnel, you gain control of it and it gets shuffled into your deck.
Reincarnate works the same way.

Justicar Trueheart in Rogue?

My custom cards thread here (53 cards)
ancestral spirit makes perfect sense to me, but you would expect baron rivendare to only shuffle a weasel into your own deck.
-> Tunneler dies
-> deathrattle 1. Put THIS minion into your opponent's deck, it goes to your opponent's deck and now belongs to him/ her
-> deathrattle 2. Put THIS minion into your opponent's deck, the minion is now transferred from your opponent's deck to yours.

Maybe it should be "Shuffle a copy of this into your opponents deck"
If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.

here's a video of disguised toast explaining Weasel Tunneler:
Weasel Tunneler dies: Opponent gains control of it and it gets shuffled into his deck. It's basically like him casting "Entomb" on it.
Baron Riverdare triggers: Weasel Tunneler dies again, but since it's the opponent's Weasel Tunnel, you gain control of it and it gets shuffled into your deck.
