The current midrange shaman is probably the strongest deck in the game right now, but do you think this agressive midrange shaman will be destroyed in the next rotation? (Assuming shaman doesn't get anymore OP early game or midgame cards)
Some of the key cards from midrange shaman are disappearing next expansion like Thunderbluff Valiant, Tunnel Trogg, and most importantly, Totem Golem. Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem were huge offenders of being too synergistic. Tunnel Trogg is just absurd sometimes with how much damage it can do in the early game and Totem Golem is an almost impossible to kill turn 2 which synergizes with Thing from Below, Thunderbluff valiant, Primal Fusion and even Tunnel Trogg (Which made for a beastly turn 1 then turn 2 play).
Totem Golem and Tunnel Trogg were like Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle in Midrange paladin, and when both minibot and muster were taken out, midrange paladin was practically died in this cycle even though they have a lot of good 4 cost cards.
Maybe evolve shaman or control shaman will be the best shaman decks in the next cycle? What do you guys think?
It depends on what cards they get in the next expansion, but they are losing a lot when the rotation happens spring 2017. Don't expect it to go anywhere for the next 6 months though.
Between hallazeal, lightning claws and the overall push towards spell damage and basic totems I believe shaman will swing to midrange-control in the next (or the next after this one) expansion.

agreed. A late range build with a lot of fatties is already pretty succesful.
I don't think it will die out 100%, but I definitely feel that another class will take the spotlight. Blizzard tends to go in turns, giving a different class OP cards every few expansions, it seems. Apparently this is normal for Blizzard as a whole, I hear they do this in their other games as well.
Rotation will lose the early game that makes midrange Shaman so oppressive, though not things like spirit claws. It's possible totem Shaman becomes the new midrange variant of choice. Control Shaman would need some help seeing as both healing wave and elemental destruction leaving would leave the archetype with fewer recovery options.
the current iteration yes?, however i don't think mid-range shamman will die, one of our lovely mods posted a shamman deck in here that uses no minions but, Barnes,Thing from Below, the collectible totems and Wicked Witchdoctor then rounds things up with Bloodlust, and to be honest, that deck has been super effective so far, maybe the loss of Lava Shock may hurt the deck a little, who knows, we haven't seen 2 expansions that will happen before rotation yet, but 'm placing my bets in tha this pure totem shamman willkeep being powerful.

We can't predict anything until we can see some of the new cards. Please, think well before making these threads again and again
We can't be certain right now, but we can propose based on what we already know, and that is a strong focus towards late game instead of the current snowball of aggro-into-midrange (wich I love ;3 )
Shaman is not going to die, simply because the cards that make him so strong will not disappear.
If we are lucky a new class (or more, if we are very very lucky) will take the top spot, but Shaman will still be a top deck Maybe when the new standard rotation comes shaman will become the worst class, but not until then.

Although a huge part of the late range build is elemental destruction... so maybe not.

Yes, Shaman is the new Priest. Classes seem to take turns.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
