Please don't start hating and trolling and vomitting insults as I, myself, don't defend the aggro style but why does everybody keep insulting it? Why does everybody make it sound like "Hearthstone should be centered around control". Warrior IMO is a broken class, a control warrior is among the top tier decks yet nobody insult it. But Zoo/Shaman-face decks? "omfg vomitting minions fyucancer", Why the hatered?
I believe hearthstone shouldn't be centered around anything, I believe different playstyles should be seen and put in place, Control tempo mid aggro all the same.
If you think that 90% of the ladder is aggro, go and make an anti-aggro deck and make it to rank 1 legend instead of insulting and raging throughout the forum.

"Who am I? None of your business..."
And nope, I'm not a secret pally... Never was and never will be.
Because in the new meta controll decks are demolished by every aggro deck, also theres like 6-7 thousand or even more dust difference between them and theres no fun in playing aggro decks for normal people, all they do is just mindlessly grind and pleasing themselves with their ranks. Thel ladder is 80% hunter, shaman, zoo the rest are just free wins for the majority
A lot of times aggro can make you feel like there was nothing you could've done. Losing at turn 3-4-5 (or maybe a few rounds after but without a chance to stabilize and/or retaliate) probably leaves people feeling worse than losing in late rounds, after a bit of back-and-forth (even if this is only an illusion and often the game was already won in the first few rounds, it just came to fruition at a later stage). It probably feels a bit less one-sided, a bit more satisfying. It's just feelings, nothing rational.
Well since you cant really do anything against them -unless you have perfect curve and he has the worst mulligan (which is like 3% of the games) - its not just feelings. Legalábbis ahogy a lassan 3 éves pályafutásom alatt tapasztaltam
A control deck interacts with you. You may say that type of interaction is void, because its mostly limited to "you play something, they remove it", but its much better than "you play something, they go face anyways.". You more rarely feel cheated by a control deck because you had a chance. You played out your stuff. You did what your deck is meant to. You werent just killed t7 without having a chance to play the game.
In an aggro infested meta, deckbuilding is harshly limited. You either play aggro, or you must include certain types of removal in your deck. And lots of it. This is not the case in a meta ruled by control decks; in that type of meta, aggro decks are barely effected, and you dont have to arbitrarely include 10 specific cards in your deck or lose automatically. You still have to keep the meta in mind when deckbuilding, but it is not nearly as limiting.
Because people believe that by playing control they make more important decisions and that illusion makes them feel they are better at the game. That belief is based solely on a fact that control matches tend to last longer. So more plays = more decisions. The truth is of course that more plays = less impact from each decision on the game.
For Zoo turn 1 on coin is often 2-3 possible plays that lead to 10-15 outcomes and further plays on turn 2.
For Warrior it's turn 1 pass - turn 2 Fiery Win Axe. And high skill Brawl turn 5.
Also I'd like to add that the absolute majority of players have no idea what Control and Aggro actually is and often call Zoo aggro (which in fact is Tempo), call Secret Paladin aggro (which in fact is Midrange), call Freeze mage control (which in fact is Combo), or just call all Hunter or Shaman decks SMOrc (even Midrange or Tempo ones playing Highmanes/Things from Below).
1) Because aggro use the simplies mechanics - op buffs (zoo) or op minions (shaman). And dont use (+dont let the opponent use) full variety of nice mechanics of HS. That is just not attractive (dumb). 2) Because aggro is so op that it destroys balance Aggro-Mid-Control. And best counter to aggro - another kind of cancer. P.S. current "Midrage" is also mostly aggro oriented.
Each deck has its own place in the great puzzle that is a card game.
Aggro is supposed to be cheap. Literally cheap, not "cheesy, fake" cheap. Mech Mage, Face Hunter, Face Shaman. All these decks (usually) don't contain a single legendary, or could be played without a single legendary without a significant drop-off in winrate. Most of them don't contain more than 1-2 epics, either. They are the decks that people who just joined the game can play to rank up, and the decks people who don't want to put a ton of time/money into the game can play competively.
Think of it this way. The same way most veteran players save up dust for Legendaries and are excited to put them into their decks, a new player saves up dust for Rares and is excited to put them into his deck. You can create a new account today and build a half-decent aggro deck. As you play, you'll get dust, and you'll craft rares required to improve the deck. This is basically the full Hearthstone Experience, mini-mized and shortened for new players. Exactly the same ways most mmo's and moba games (like League, HoTS, or Dota), start you off with big boosts to leveling-rate, or character unlock-rate, and then slow down later on. The "New-Player Experience" is a very important thing for a game's life. Otherwise, the game dies off.
Unfortunately right now in Hearthstone these decks are so potent that they've taken the spotlight from the more expensive, "prestegious" decks. I think this is part of the issue, tbh.
Because there's this huge misconception that control requires more skill to play than aggro... Both types require thinking and strategy. One wins quicker and the other gets stronger as the game goes on.
There are tons of 'skilled' control players at rank 15 and loads of 'brainless' aggro players there as well. They're there because they are rank 15 players, no other reason. If aggro was so easy everyone would hit legend with it but it's not so they don't.
The counter of an aggro decks is another one. Control decks are not consistent enough to deal with most of the aggro decks. (but hell what do I know, I am not a very good player anyway ^^)
A control deck interacts with you. What interaction are you talking about? C'Thun Warrior interacts only with his 'Tank Up' button usually. Most aggro decks (Zoo, Aggro Shaman, Token Paladin) interact with board, do minion fights and so on. Only Pirate Warrior interacts mostly with opponent face, but it's not even a deck for serious play.
And your arguments about deckbuilding... You always have to keep the meta in mind, no matter kind of it (aggro/control and so on).
because opening packs and getting a legendary is fun, but it's sad when you can't even use said legendary if you are dead by turn 6, kind of takes away from the whole opening packs experience and take in account that i'm a f2p that has never spent in hearthstone.
Because people HATE interacting with the opponent. They wanna play like Face Hunter without the perceived shame of using Face Hunter. They don't want to be forced into trades, they want to force the opponent to trade into them. And so against super slow Control decks, since they put up nothing scary to clear for most of the game, you're free to play how you want, even if you're playing more brainlessly than 3 Face Shamen.
Conversely, against an Aggro (or literally any deck that puts up a board faster than other decks, like Midrange Secret Pally, Patron, even C'thun Druid) deck, you have to think "Oh gosh, he has some scary shit, do I clear it or do I risk it?", and it makes you feel like you're playing a more difficult game. People who play Hearthstone absolutely just don't want to be forced to think on the spot.
And yes, I am making sweeping generalizations of players, because otherwise I'd have to do several cases of players and this post would be the length of a high school essay.
I never demonized aggro, but aggro decks used to be decks with volatile high attack / low health low cost minions. Those kind of aggro decks are quite fun and exciting to fight imo.
But these days we're seeing aggro with high attack / high health low cost minions, and it is really just frustrating. Spells haven't kept up in this power creep, and we're now at a point where even the most efficient attack spells can't beat 1-for-1 the beefy aggro minions on 2, 3 and 4 mana, and AoE is equally under-performing severely... to the point where only rarely does it have to be played around. Similarly, the stabilizing cards you could use before on round 5-6-7 are gone.
What you are left with is warriors praying for a winaxe, and that's about it. If not, you better join the snowball train or it's choo-choo to the dumpster.
I played a lot of facehunter, and if I had played facehunter as haphazardly as I can play aggro shaman or zoo these days, I wouldn't have made it past rank 15.
Im presonally ok, that aggro is a part of the game, but i dont enjoy playing vs that all the time. The biggest reason for me is the fact, that aggro decks dont rly tend to play a strategic game, they just topdeck every turn, play what they got and go face. Damn, so much skillz (i know there is more to it than that, but its basically the truth). Ofc i dont enjoy every game being a 40 minutes deathmatch either, but when u play vs decks that dont care about what they draw and just beat u senseless with whatever, that doesnt feel very good.

You should use removal spells instead of attack spells on such beefy minions, they are generally cheaper. Or use (surprise!) your own big minions. But if use lost a board control you should pay for it, why not.

Shaman is very overrated at this point in the meta

The reason is rather plain.
Interaction.
A control deck interacts with you. You may say that type of interaction is void, because its mostly limited to "you play something, they remove it", but its much better than "you play something, they go face anyways.". TEMPO MAGE

TEMPO MAGE
Because it feels worse to loose against aggro than losing against Control.
And because everyone thinks aggro decks are brainless decks, so everyone thinks: why is it possible that someone without a brain wins from me?
