I think I would vote 3.5, not quite a 4, but not quite a 3 either. The meta itself feels fairly fair, at least for now, the only thing I don't care for is that old god decks seem to be about playing stuff and then winning on 10 mana in most cases, I feel like if the game had far more twisting neather style cards in each class this meta would be a 5 easily.. Mainly because there's counter play to the old gods and playing one doesn't simply mean an auto win.
Also unnerffing BGH would be a HUGE improvement to the meta, 3 mana 8/8s 4 mana 7/7s are a big deal early on, and later, creatures like C'thun need to have some sort of counter, and not all classes have proper removal.
I´m rather disappointed. Looked forward to a midrange/control-heavy-meta, but it seems to be faceshaman/Aggrodecks all over the place atm. Currently only occasionally playing the game.
I think its absolutely amazing! I dont think I ever had this much fun with the game. So much variation on ladder atm. Sure Shamans can run away with the game but so can Zoo, Pirate Warrior or whatever.
Also I really like the revival of Miracle Rogue. N'zoth pally is a super strong control option.
At the moment I'm only a little sad about Hunter and mainly Priest...they really dont seem all that string right now

I would definitely say Hunter is the weakest class right now. But we'll make do with what we have . . . !
I don't know if it is just my luck or what but 90% of the time I am facing similar style decks. The playstyles are interesting but don't have that many diferenses to make every game unique . Would like a bit more deck variety and I think that with time more decks will become popular, but as of right now the meta looks vague to me.
Does it? We got a pretty good picture of the decks we'll see for a least a few months, I'm talking about competitive decks.
C'thun druid, warrior and priest. N'Zoth Pally, Rogue and Hunter. Yogg anything (just for the LULz). Face Shaman, Paladin, Warrior, Druid and Hunter. Freeze, tempo and burn Mage. Fatigue Priest. Zoo Warlock. Reno Mage, Rogue and Warlock. Control, Patron and Tempo Warrior. Miracle Rogue. And let's say Astral Druid sometimes.
Notice what I said in the beggining. What I have seen are most of the same decks. I do understand that there are a lot of decks to play but from what I have seen we need more time for those decks to all get as popular as some generic C'thun ones. But yes I do agree with your point about your deck variety especaly in higher ranks of competitive play.
I really like this meta. The people complaining are just noobs. Aggro is fine, in fact, losing to aggro has almost no effect on me. The only thing that makes me tilt is when people get insanely lucky. The meta is very diverse, and their are competitive decks for each class. Currently i'm playing miracle rogue, its working very well for me, and the only really bad matchup is shaman (although I do beat quite a few of them)
People complaining about agro miss 2 important points:
- Agro decks are not overpowered compared to control ones.
- Agro decks need lot of skills to achieve some good result.
- Most importantly, no more druid double combo that just used to kill the fun by being too strong and too dependent on luck weather you play against or with (due to the fact that you can't always play around (double) combo).
Due to the lack of important anti-aggro cards like healbot and sludge belcher, I feared that Standart would be dominated by aggro. At first it really seemed to be true when Aggro Shaman reigned supreme, but currently I'm mostly playing Patron & Control Pala and I'm doing absolutely fine. Zoo is really strong right now, but it's absolutely beatable. Meanwhile, Aggro Shaman is overall actually worse than Tempo Shaman imo.
So, all in all, I'm really happy with the meta right now. It's way more engaging than the Dr/Secret Pala meta of TGT.

So, after almost 2 weeks of this meta, I think we've seen almost every deck possible.
Do you guys like it?
No? Yes? Why?
Please no whinning, if want to talk about a specific card, be constructive.
Reminder: Tempo Storm Meta Snapshot for reference, sort of.
Is 1 the beste meta ever and 5 the worst?
Mill! Mill!
12 days = 21 days
Way too much aggro right now. I play vs Aggro/Overload Shaman and Zoo almost every game. Whether I win or lose, it's not that fun.

Shaman is finally top tier. Well deserved. The occasional Yogg also makes the games really fun and enjoyable.
bad bad bad bad bad bad bad
You guys need to lighten up haha... It's really not bad. But I suppose some people can't adapt very well to changes.

Loving the Nzoth-decks and Yogg though.

I might miss a few but it's the general idea.
Just the same as before the expansion.
Aggro is just the way to go to win and it's disgusting.
