Ight, am I the only one that's seeing the same (C'thun) decks over and over again? I disenchanted all my gvg and naxx cards for something different in standard and I'm already tired of seeing C'thun Druid. I'm also salty due to the fact that C'thun gets buffed over and over again and you can't do anything about it to stop it. I'd honestly have more fun playing against the secret Paladins than these annoying-ass decks.
Yea i feel the same atleast about the standard meta (for now atleast but its just out for 2days so yea we dont know yet) however right now the Wild-meta is just sooooo much more fun theres alot of variety between decks and much more possibilities aswell, so if you dont like standard right now just play wild mode or try to make a nice deck which works well in standard.
Also played quite a lot against those druids, but also aggro shamans are pretty hard imho. Haven't seen any paladins so far somehow. Just went from 14-17 in the last few games. Mostly sham/druid.meeh

What did you expect? Everyone got C'Thun for free and other supporting cards are cheap. It was evident that everyone will try this when the expansion goes live. People will explore other decks when they get bored of it and get their collection extended.
Though I'm really enjoying Cthun decks, truth must be said: in Magic at least, Standard is one of the most boring formats, because while there tons of diversity list-wise, the archetypes are very repetitive per se. Only in Legacy (Wild) you get to testify over 20 different archetypes in a tournament.
That's always so right after an expansion launches, the meta will calm down and you'll see different decks in a month, right after LoE we had only Aggro Shamans and after TGT there were only more Secret Paladins.
Well, i made a warrior list that hardcounters C'Thun Druids, i just can't play it anymore since at my rank, N'zoth hypercontrol pally is the newest trend and it get's recked by those. If anyone is interested, here is the list.

You shouldn't have DE'd all your wild only cards. I'm playing wild and N'Zoth Hunter seems to be extremely powerful against most of the wild ranked meta.

I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
I feel lucky then, because I've been running up against a really wide variety of decks. Just played two games on ladder and one was a Reno Rattle Hunter (Nzoth I assume, but it never hit the board) and the other a beast Druid. Beyond those two I saw a face Shaman, mid ranged evo Shaman, face hunter, Reno Paladin, a variety of warlock zoo, Nzoth Rouge, C'thun Rouge, Yogg/tempo Mage. Sure, I've also seen some C'thun Druid and Priest, but they haven't been overwhelmingly common. And even the ones i have seen have had variety. For instance, one Druid was a Reno C'thun another threw in Fandral and was more heavily spell based. I the priest side there have been decks I have seen ones that try Reno other that go for Auchenai circle and some that don't. All in all there has been a lot of variety both in the types of decks and the what their load out has been.
Tl/dr. I must be lucky because I haven't found this stale meta everyone is talking about

This ^ same happens in Pokemon, standard format has just a couple of viable decks and that's it while expanded (wild) and Legacy (only old cards) have amazing decs with amazing sinergies and a lot of variety.
I wouldn't call this meta, just people playing with a card they got for free. Personally I'd say something like face shaman or zoolock are going to be a whole lot more annoying in the long run, considering the cards they got going with the expansion out.
Plus on ladder I've ran less into C'thun decks and more into aggro face decks. Shaman and Warlock got some great tools for that style of play. Mid-range hunter is looking to be pretty frustrating to play against as well.
I agree as well, I found new expansion is lacking neutral defensive cards. Face Shaman and Zoolock might set a limit to a lot of decks.
I like the current meta. I'm seeing Cthun decks but atleast it keeps the game at a certain pace. I don't run Cthun so it doesn't bother me and knowing my enemy has a endgame they're working towards by buffing their Cthun keeps me engaged.
So lets think about it for a second. What does "meta" actually mean? Most people play specific Decklists because they work the best at a given time? I dont know but to me the current state just sounds like the definition of the word "meta"
"after TGT there were only more Secret Paladins."
Yes and after the "meta" calmed down we had almost no people playing secret paladin after a couple weeks Kappa

You can counter that deck with the right gameplay, and of course a decent deck to go with.

Go play wild then? Lol
Not quite what was planned.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Threads like this prove the large majority of Hearthstone players have no idea what a "meta" actually is.
