The former is OP, 3 mana deal 7 to a minion/ summon 7 1/1 beasts (see Wispers of the Old Gods)
The latter is too plain IMHO, I don't know what's the relation with snakes
Finally, the art of both cards is the same of Venomstrike Trap so I suggest you changing it.

I prefer the old version of Boy Next Rock (the one that reduces the cost of a minion in your hand 3 times) to be honest. However, I might buff its effect to 4 times, as right now it's basically a harder to use, RNG-dependant Counterfeit Coin. Also, I don't get the pun :_D
With my bear hands! is really funny pun, but I'm not a huge fan of the effect.
I laughed at the name of Snakes on a plain, and its effect is alright, altough not very original. 3 mana, however, is incredibly cheap. I'd rather make the snakes die at the end of your turn or make it cost at the very least 5, and probably 6 or even 7. Compare it with Call in the Finishers and it's obvious how OP it is right now.
Slithery Slope is really interesting a strong and cheap AOE, with the downside that your opponent has control over it. However, I don't see how its effect has anything to do with snakes, so I'd look for another name.
And finally, you should use another artwork, as it's already used by Venomstrike Trap

Thanks for the feedback! It is quite cheap indeed for what it does. One thought is to make it much more expensive (say 8 mana) but up the Snakes to 2/1 or give them Charge rather than Rush (thought that makes it too similar to Release the Hounds I think). Perhaps something like: "7 mana: Summon 5 1/2 Snakes with Rush, the first Snake also has Poisonous."
As for Slithery Slope, I could make a change into "Slicey Situation" (as a pun on a dicey situation) where there are saw blades / sharp things on the ground in the card art.
What do you guys think of this charming fella' ? :) Obviously, a pun on the great detective Sherlock Holmes, which makes a living of discovering secrets.
Nice pun, but i would rather call it Shmurlock Holmes to be better linked to the original name. Also, the downside of the card seems a bit too strong for the opponent ( if what you mean by the text is to give the other 2 secrets to him).
Also, the art is top notch!
Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah, the art is totally awesome, and actually official Blizzard :)
I think that you're right in your concern about the drawback of the card. May it should just give one to the opponent of your choise, or at random... Or none at all, and make him a 2/2 or lower :D
Or at least don't make it a neutral card. There could be a huge difference between giving your opponent a random Paladin secret or a Mage secret. I think it goes well in a Paladin deck nonetheless, but a "Discover 3 random Secrets. Choose one and put it into the battlefield" would have a much funnier play imo.
The way it's worded, Van Hellscream can destroy everything from the Warlock spellstone to Gul'dan's Hero Power, or Kingsbane, or even a minion buffed with Unidentified Elixir. It's kinda overpowered in some very specific situations.
Inside the spoiler below are some other cards and the old version of Van Hellscream, which I think is significantly stronger but didn't really fit the flavor. Now he's a true vampire hunter.
Dynamite Duo is the only good card in the bunch. Hellscream is way too specific while I don't like Omega Lull since it permenantly takes away a board slot, not to mention the pun isn't even that good.
What do you think? Is 8 seconds too short? Is 4 mana too much?
8 second is WAAAAY too short (it's the equivalent of playing 2 cards in a turn. In another word: this card is basically 4 mana 7 1/1 if your opponent don't play on curve or play more than 1 card.

The art is top notch, the pun is fine but the card itself is way too weak.
Snake on A Plain is blatantly OP. It has 7 1/1 minion damage, not to mention the insane Beast synergy. The second one I don't know how it related to Snakes. Like, at all.

So, i've made 3 different card art for the submission. I would appreciate some help to pick one for the final submission. Thanks :D
I like the first one the best. It has the "book" aspect as well as the "guessing" aspect of the card.
Based on feedback, Bee-ware will be my submission. Here's a few more versions with different Bee-related puns. Which one is best?
It’s supposed to be a multiplication effect. Beans are known for coming in pods, so making a small minion that summons copies of itself seemed fitting. Since just “shuffle a copy of this into your deck” is boring, I went with a more interesting, multiple-choice effect. That’s just my vague inspiration, anyway. The name/pun doesn’t need to directly relate to the effect, you know.
@Thezzy: I can vouch for that idea of going for "Slicey Situation" instead of "Slithery Slope." Just be careful of what engine you do the search on, and the exact phrasing (urk...)
@Shatterstar1998: I'm going to be very biased and suggest "2 Bees" because that was the one I suggested :P Bee Our Guest is also good
@Hieii: For English not being your first language, that is...really good! At first I thought it was fairly straight forward, but then the Pi joke on top of that, that just made it beautiful. My gut check is that the effect is too strong, but, on average, you're looking at +4 Attack, and in this day and age a 3 mana 4/4 is already not strong enough, so a slightly bigger beatstick is fair, especially in later turns when 4 damage is more accessible.
@RigaCrypto: I'ma say the first artwork is also most appropriate to the theme of the card.
@WUBRGWUBRG: The effect all makes sense, but I just don't know if putting text between the word "Battlecry" and what the Battlecry/Deathrattle is would be legal. It doesn't scan well on first reading. Also, is that placeholder art? Not a fan of it, otherwise.
@ffinderous: I love the "With My Bear Hands!" pun. Just to clarify, was your intent with that card to be "every" time you deal damage to the opponent's hero the hero power is refreshed, or just the first time they take damage? Because "every" time means that if you topdeck this card on 10 mana, Hunter gets their very own Pyroblast in 2-damage increments. More if they've got Balista Shot.
So I've decided to nix "Whispers of the Old God," and I've updated Shipwight, because that one's more a play on words rather than a play on an idiom (or, specifically, a philosophical concept), but I've also got this new pun card based on Warcraft terms...
(In upgrading to Equipping a card instead of just adding one to your hand, I knocked the Shipwight down to Basic cards, to prevent the devastating high-roll of Vinecleaver or Silver Sword. There's still the thought of bumping its cost up to 5, since it could read as a 4/5-Mana weapon with random stats with Battlecry: Deal 3 damage to an enemy minion, and maybe an additional effect on top of that).
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."

An old idea with modification and a new one...
Naturally a pun on the movie 'Snakes on a Plane'.
A pun on a 'Slippery slope'.
Any thoughts?

Why is the rum gone?

I'd go with the first one. It's actually writing something, so it's more related with spelling bees.
Ok so, it's a Pi-Rat so a rat with 3.14 stat that is a Pirate. Is that good? (sorry for my english :D )
Love the tribes.

The balance is fine, but I don't get how the card related to the pun.

Thanks for all the feedback, here's an update:
Bit more balanced I think? Or still too strong?
I also found a better name for my other card, a pun on 'Venus fly trap'.
