This card obviously sucks, but you can find people to defend anything I guess.
Uhm... No, it doesn't. a 4/2 body isn't even that bad for a 3 mana card. It's just 1 health below the standard. Obviously there are better cards to play, but if u have a deck with a lot of spell damage, then this card is excellent. The only problem is that no competitive decks exist that try to use as much spellpower as possible. Maybe in the future though.
You're just wrong, the standard for a 3 drop is 7 points worth of stats, so you're already behind 1 point, so the way you have to read this card is +1 Attack /+2 HP if you have a Spellpower and suddenly this card is even less interesting than it appears.
Imagine if a spell power card coming out in TGT that isn't released to us yet becomes an amazing 2 drop. Then this card could be a meta defining 3 drop. Imagine a 2/1 Divine shield +1 spell power 2 drop or a 1/2 +1 spell damage 1 drop. Something of that nature.
I really like this card. As the kid who didn't de malygos when he had no other legendaries because hes fun I am spell damages #1 fan. 4/2 for 3 is not unreasonable and it can be a 6/4! I love it Im playing shaman for the rest of my life thank you.
However I voted for the other one so this card is obviously auto shit tier
People who say this card sucks... Seriously though, 6/4 for 3 is bad? Oh, yeah, there's a condition, you actually gotta create some new sort of deck and try to play around her a bit. You gotta create a deck, how horrific that is? :/
I guess that's why Goblin sapper is a staple in so many decks. Yet he has better stat distributions.
Are you really comparing a card that depends on the opponent's hand to a card you can build your deck around, so which depends on your own cards? Well done, sir. Irony is to be used when relevant.
Slight buff for Piloted Shredder dropping Thalnos and Kobold.
In every thread for any new card why does someone have to say how this card impacts Piloted Shredder?
That said, this could be a pretty awesome card in the right deck.
Not to mention that this card is 3 mana and shredder summons 2 mana minions :)
I'm a bit disappointed with this card. I think it would have been better as a 2/3. We'd be getting a Yeti on turn 3 basically, and it wouldn't be completely useless if we don't get the battlecry to go off. With 4 health it dies to flamecannon or frostbolt ping. On the other hand there are few 4 mana taunts, so getting 6 damage in on turn 4 can be big. The issue is the spell damage synergy. I'm hoping we get a good 2 mana spell damage minion as I find it hard to see geomancer getting play.
Thinking a bit more, in decks that run Azure Drake this can be an excellent turn 8 play. You are getting a 4/4 and a 6/4. That's 10 damage on the board that has to be answered. Classes that this can fit are Druid, Rogue, Mage and Shaman.

I am not sure how it's less interesting...if 7 for 3 is good 10 for 3 is amazing.
The reason goblin sapper isn't used is because the condition for it to gain its stats are usually out of hands unless you are playing a mill deck which are just bad in general.
I see it having same use as Volcanic Drake: It is an opportunistic drop. After a Thalnos + Lightning Storm, drop this guy on, say, turn 8. Still, only 4 HP...ugh.

Yeah look how that worked out for Giblin Sapper who had in even more lax activation requirement.
I now see why Blizzard continues to pump out stuff like this, they can continuously repackage the game garbage, and some people still think it's new or interesting at all, how many similar cards do we have with even laxer activation requirements that aren't played?

10 stats for 3 mana is insane, even though the distribution isn't perfect. It's a huge threat on the board when you can play it on turn 3 with the effect. I don't see why you say it's bad. Yes, it isn't great, but it certainly isn't bad either.
It isn't great = It won't be played = it's bad.
There is a a lot of cards that aren't "great" that see play now because they synergize well in the decks they are in.
I like how there are two separate discussions wiht the exact same matters: two guys comparing goblin sapper to this card.
I never said that the MC is everytime a 6/4 for 3. But tt least you know what you're doing when playing it, since you did a spell-focused deck, with many spell damage minion and all. Chances she will shine are greater than a mill deck where you hope to flood your opponent with cards so that your sapper works well. You rely on your opponent and not on your own deck, and that is worse. Goblin Sapper is worse than MC, period.
As to if this card is very good, we will see. But I'm getting tired of mediums here and there claiming they exactly know how it's gonna happen once the extension is out even though they don't even have a third of all the needed information.

Can we something besides 3 drop minions lol. But I do like the idea and it is something that I'm asking for, interaction with other minions on board.
Hearthstone was in dire need for breasts

Interesting card, not bad for sure, might see play if there is some early spelldamage minion...maybe still hope for rouge! :D
Seems very difficult to play on curve, while taking advantage of the battlecry, but it might see play in a Shaman totem deck.
YES! I've wanted to make a spell damage deck for soo long. It's happening!!
