the cards NOT EVEN RELEASED and your ALREADY crying its op.... ok im convinced this community is full closed minded children, there need to be new cards and effects and your not always going to like them, thats why you USE YOUR HEAD to figure out how to counter the meta.... god im starting to get an aneurism from this
Interesting card on paper, but I can't imagine a series of draws when it would be better than Sylvanas. This will definitely be a priority kill target, and at 5/5 for 6, that won't necessarily be too difficult. What that means is that you only get 1 turn of its ability. If you had cheaper minions, you could potentially play 2 of them, but chances are you've already cast them. You could play an 8-drop on T7, but that's not too game breaking. So definitely a good card, but not flat out better than everything else i think.
Notable that it only reduces the cost of cards in your hand, not cards you will draw going forward. So you either benefit from cards in your hand when this is triggered, or cards you draw later and keep in your hand for at least one turn.
That probably isn't going to matter much though. If you play him and he sticks around at least one turn you've already gotten great value. Subsequent turns probably aren't going to matter all that much.
It accelerates the curve of things that are ALREADY in your hand at the end of your turn.
It's a 5/5 for 6, which dies to hungry dragon, Fireguard, Loatheb, etc.
So unless you have your combo in hand, or something like Rag to curve out with it, it's not all that great. Good, but not OP, and the effect isn't as game warping as Sylvanas's or Loatheb. Odds are it will die the turn it is played, so anything not in your hand when you play it won't get help, and at that point in the game, lowering the mana costs of your cards by 1 in a control deck isn't THAT big of a deal. Also, if you don't play it on curve it is worse because odds are you will have the mana you need anyway.
If no one has pointed this out yet, this card is amazing for Shaman. So often are you holding Al Akir and some burst but either you're always overloaded or just shy of finishing damage, but now everything can get that discount for easier burst.
because the game totally needed more unstoppable combos from hand, jesus christ... alexa charge OTK is back boys, now all you need is deathsbite in hand instead of gorehowl...
Miracle Rogue is back baby! Thank you so much blizz! I will love you forever.... 2 x coldblood + AHAAA! + Faceless for 4 mana 20 damage combo! Yes Please! Malygos +sinister +sinister + eviserate + eviserate for 10 mana 34 Damage combo! We did it Blizz!
Rogue is going to be able to protect their Thaurissan with stealth, and as such will benefit the most i guess. I do believe i'll be saving my Shadowsteps for Master of Disguise in the future to protect Thaurissan and Illidan Stormrage. And if by chance you manage to remove it, well guess what i got at least 3 more Thaurissan's in my deck.

Solid card, but not OP like some are claiming.
glad to see practical thinkers. everyone gets too giddy about combos or whining about how OP this is when they're just simulating perfect combo situations with the right cards as if opponents would let this guy live for more than 3 turns.
I do agree though that this card has tons of potential
Yeah, you can't really expect to play a perfect hand that will have its mana cost reduced. But I can easily imagine some combos being used with this.
- FoN (5) + SR (2). If you reduce these, you only need to wait on a the 2nd SR for double combo. Or you can do DoTC (5) + Innervate with the FoN+SR Combo.
- Malygos (8) + Conceal (0). Get's it out earlier or you have 2 mana left over for some spells in the same turn. More if you had any preps handy. If you happen to have some Shiv, Evisc, Sinister Strikes in hand when you played Thaurissan, the more the better.
- Alexstraza (8) + Iceblock (2). I can easily see this play happening in Freeze mage. Although this is one class where I can easily imagine setting up for a wombo-combo. After you've drawn out your combo pieces (Acolyte, Arcane Int, Loothoarders help here) and your ready for your finisher... T9 Frost Nova + Thaurissan, T10 Alex + Iceblock (if needed), T11 Pyroblast Frostbolt Icelance.
Some 2~3 part combos aren't unreasonable to imagine being played reliably in Constructed.
One just can't have their head in the clouds dreaming up T6 Thaurissan, T7 Thaurissan still lives, T8 Malygos Lightning Bolt - Lightning Bolt - Crackle - Crackle OTK. That situation isn't going to come up very often, especially not with Shaman's card draw. (And good luck saving all of that burn instead of using it as removal)
[Edit] I came up with another two for Freeze Mage.
T9 - Thaurissan Frost Nova. T10 - Antonitas Fireball Frostbolt Icelance Icelance (17 damage + 4 fireballs that discount to 3). T11 = Triple FIreball (18 damage. Still have 1 Fireball in hand) . 41 Damage over 3 turns, not counting any attacking Thaurissan/Antonitas get in.
Same. Face hunter will be a counter. Leeory miracle is better for face races.
THough, in a control environment, this deck might force the meta into aggro.

OP in anything that isn't super-aggro.
I suspect this card will show up in any deck that runs Loatheb, that being just about all of them.
Or just play Slyvannas for 0 mana at that point.

The card that's gonna swing the whole game from hard aggro to mid-range...mega-broken. Druid benefits the most imo.

Now this with innervate and coin on T3 though...

Insane in Control Warrior. Makes all your big minions cheaper. Should it live 2 turns, it's GG, basically.
Yay to Malgos combos! Malygos + Frostbolt x2 + ice lance x2 for 34 damage from hand
OMG!
Welcome to the Freeze Mage meta.
face hunter, zoo, and (probably) mech mage. Anything really aggressive that is trying to kill you before you can even play this guy.

or
T9 Thaurissan Frost Nova. T10 Alexstraza Ice Block. T11 Malygos Frost Bolt Frost Bolt Ice lance Ice Lance (34 damage)
Maybe it'll actually be possible to win the Freeze Mage vs Control Warrior matchup with some sort of abuse like these.
Well, i see it as a good way to earn money:
1) Add a useful-for-everyone overpowered expansion-only card
2) Earn profit
3) Nerf overpowered card
4) Make another expansion :)
