We're going to play a game of cups, mortal. TO THE DEATH!
The way that this would work is that either two would be summoned on his right, his left, or one on each side. To the opponent, at the end of your turn, he'd glow white before splitting into 3 copies of himself, so the opponent couldn't possibly know which one was the real one. Cards like BGH or SW:D should be able to target the shadows, while SW:P and cabal and such should not target them.
Essentially, it'd be a card that has a 33% chance of not being affected by attacks or spells, but with some counterplay offered in to the opponent.
What do you guys think?
Edit: re-worded Kil'jaeden's effect for clarity.
Edit 2: lowered the shadow's health to 1 and cost to one (just in case they get bounced back to hand)

Edit: I've entered this into the week 13 design competition.
If they appear in random positions, couldn't that just mean they can appear on your opponent's side or, if the opponent was paying close enough attention, they could see where the original one was placed on the board and just kill that one? Would attacking with the real one just show your opponent anyway? Cool concept, but I don't understand how it could be properly implemented into the game.
A very cool and fun idea, though a more forthcoming discription would be something like "at the end of your turn summon 3 Deciever's Shadow and then shuffle your board"
I must say again a very interesting concept, would play in every warlock deck 12/10
Looks too imaginative for Blizzard to put something like this in the game. Aside from some lazy writing on The Deceiver (capital letter), this is really fun.

Good concept, I get how it would work. But would the game know? One sure way to find the real 7/7 would be to see which one BGH couldn't target, or wait and see which one attacks since you can't attack with an 0/3. I can also see a new card (possibly for Priest but likely a neutral minion with Battlecry) "Pause game for 20 seconds. Look at your opponent's cards from their perspective."
Very interesting concept, and the best part is that it lends itself very well to a virtual card game like hearthstone. Imo mirror image should work a bit like this (not every turn, and with 2 more hero portraits appearing next to yours).
what an awesome card idea.. this fits KJ perfectly.. he is the deceiver after all.. being 7/7 is also interesting becouse this way you allow BGH and such to be played but you can pretty much waste them on your illusions.. very interesting indeed.. also the deceive will work only for one turn usually coz you cant attack with the shadows so he will know which one is real..
Edit: btw i read it as battlecry.. now i realize it is not.. i think it should be a battlecry becouse it is too OP creating copycats at the end of each of your turns
Amazing concept though I can't judge how OP it is in reality. I think it should have less hp (5?). 33% chance I will have to sacrifice my minions/spells into fake minions is quite an advantage and let's not forget that since it is a constant effect it will kick ass with Voidcaller.
Not OP at all though, the "copies" disappear at the start of the players' next turn. So he's a 7/7 for 7 who will most likely survive the opponents' turn. Play Ancient of War in taunt form and it's no problem. Hold your BGH in hand till the next turn.
Fantastic design, I really like it, suits an online game perfectly.
So. I've read the response. I just wanted to get the idea out, to see how the concept was received. After reading through your responses I agree that 3 health for the shadows is probably too much. Imma lower them to 1 health; They come back every off-turn after all.
Jokes aside, I really like this concept. Quick question, if the real Kil'Jaden is damaged, will the new clones that spawn reflect the damage taken by the original or will they appear as 7/7's to the opponent?
Yes. Although that brings up the very interesting prospect of faceless-ing kil'jaeden and the wonderful coding clusterf*ck that that would present.
Also, Now I have to make them "Battlecry: Appears to the opponent as Kil'jaeden" because otherwise damaging him would, I think, also appear to damage them the way it's worded right now. Dammit all.

lmao what a terrible idea

That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.

Can you show me what was wrong so I can fix it?
I like that much better. I'll change it.
I´d really love to see that one happen. Very imaginative !

Fuck Dr. Boom.
I really like it.
Well done.

yup
