I was thinking about this card Mogor the Ogre and can not think of any reason why this card sould not be a 6 mana 6/7! This would make the card more playable and sinse the effect is for both players it's not better than Boulderfist Ogre!
Unlike Dr. Boom, which outvalues War Golem by a longshot, this will not do the same!
Now if you use the card in a deck, it's just another Big Game Hunter target....
Not all Legendaries need to be "playable" Even me saying this Mogor CAN win some games
The Favor of Mogor fits great tho. Ogres are all about being Strong but stupid which is why they put the 50% chance of hitting the wrong target. And just because it can die to BGH isnt Valid
Mogor is more a gimmick then an actually competitive card. The stats are nearly as critical as the effect. At T7 I can't think about one deck actually wanting the chance to hit the wrong target.

That's why this is a "Lose Less" card if there was ever such a thing, the only reason you'd ever want to play it is if your opponent is ahead, and your trying to screw them up.
I love Mogor. He totally screws up your opponents game plans and they usually kamakazi at least one of their minions into him. He works really well in a control priest I have.
Mogor was the first GvG legendary that dropped for me; I stuck him in my control warrior deck for shits and giggles, and he's just stayed there ever since so far. I think I like him because he's rarely seen and he still seems to frazzle people and lead them to make mistakes; plus, I don't really care if he gets BGH'd because then I can be more confident when I drop Rag later. Is he optimal, probably not, but I'm enjoying him as he is.
Why don't you get it: Blizzard will NEVER buff cards. They have never done it after alpha release. The threads are just unnecessary.
Since the release the only buffs have been to Unleash the Hounds (although, after a nerf) and to Abusive Sergeant. However, up until the closed beta a lot of cards did receive buffs.
Saying that Mogor is only slightly better than a Boulderfist in comparison to Dr. Boom/War Golem is flawed. War Golem rarely seen constructed while Boulderfist was actually played quite a bit since you could drop him and cast a solid spell afterwards (Fireball/Poly/Frostbolt+Hero ability to remove a threat). The 1 attack difference was not seen as a "bonus" to avoid BGH, either.
Mogor isn't as good as Dr. Boom... but there are worse legendary cards in this set. Mogor is a solid, playable legendary. Very good (not great) in arena too. Some cards are good in constructed, some are good in arena, some are good in both. And then there are ones that are bad in both. I'd be asking for a Millhouse buff... it'll get you farther.
I would have never crafted him myself, put I got him from my first GvG pack and simply put him in my control Paladin. Can't count how many times he saved my ass, not only due to minions running into him (avoiding taunts anyone?). He is also great setup for Dr. Boom and Ragnaros, eating a BGH if your opponent should have one.
Definitely one of the better legendaries when used in the right deck, but I can understand why competitive players would shy away from even more rng.
As for the poll, no he doesn't need a buff. MOGOR CHARGE!
Mogor could be be described as a weaker Millhouse. A large risk with a possibly large reward, if it doesn't lose you the game because you played it. You could also relate it to Nozdormu, but he has more of a mental effect on the player as opposed to changing the way the cards work. But, in my opinion, just a weaker Boulderfist Ogre.
He was my first legendary. Found he was always a dead card in hand and decided to DE him. Few regrets but mainly only because now i have no legendaries
I found a really good place for Mogor in control warrior. First it slows down the game a whole bunch. It protects you from any sort of OTK COMBO. It also prevents your opponent from trading well. Of course it does not help you trade that much either, but it helps you get to late game and absorb a lot of board damage as well. I would say it is more of a taunt. The ogre also helps your armor smiths collect some armor as well because your opponent can not get rid of the smiths first. I think I finally found a place for this card.

Let me tell you about this asshole, Mogor the Ogre...
I pulled him from a pack a few weeks ago and threw him in my funsies Shaman deck. I have him dropped, 99% of the time he's insta-gibbed by my lame ass opponent who hates fun. When he's not though... he wrecks my life. They have one big minion on the board, I have low health. I have plenty of targets and all I need is Mogor to proc... nope.
I have lethal on board. Fucking 3/4th of my guys swing wildly around and get themselves killed.
My minions turn into rocket powered retards with no form of control while the enemy minions stay as cool as a cucumber.
I don't think he's ever done anything positive for me after he's hit the board.
But I will never take him out of my deck... I love him and the hilarious deaths he causes me. It's an abusive relationship. God speed little ogre, you are the wind beneath my wings.
(also if someone wants to BGH him on turn 6 that just makes my turn 7 Boom that much better)

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"

The only way i found to play this guy was this.. as protection for other big guys, taking attacks instead of them, or, a hard removal.
Because Duranor is right.. noone wants to see his creatures attacking the wrong target. Especially your enemy at his first moves ;)

Mogor is no boulderfist, mogor is unique.

Card is fine. <snip>
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.

Something never happening before doesn't mean it can never happen.
Priest (60) / Warrior (49) / Hunter (47) / Mage (45) / Warlock (36) / Druid (35) / Shaman (34) / Paladin (33) / Rogue (19)
I use it in my decks to protect from Druid OTK. Works every time.
Haha, exactly! Happened to me a few times as well.
"Soreeeh! Soreeeh! Soreeeh!" He even does the BM for you!
Which makes it amazing for Randuin.
