I think this card might well be the worst card in the game. Definitely the worst hunter card, and worse than every beast.
Bestial Wrath just told everyone that it thinks it might be in love with you.
It's a "combo" card, you'll have to have a deck that supports it to make it work. Or just draw a card. By your logic any non-damage spell is probably the worst card in the game for it's class.
Also why only focus on max-profit combo? Yep, Thundra+Savannah is excelent. however getting a free beast is not that bad, Say: t2 (or 1 with coin): Call For Help gets you a Jungle Panther is that so bad? Or any "free" beast that you can play that turn or any other for combos? Or worst case scenario: draw a card... Not great but... worst card? not sure
Hunter decks have way to high a concentration of non beast cards to make this work. A dedicated beast deck is still likely going to run:
2 Kill command, 2 Beastmaster, 2 Eaglehorn bow, 1-2 Flare, and 2 unleash the hounds Add this into the mix and your odds of drawing a non beast card are pretty damn high.

Also traps (3 - 4) and mad scientists x2. These are too good not to be run. And animal companion x2. Maybe hunter's mark x1.
I think that this is pretty similar to unstable portal where a lot of people think it is very bad. I think it is a good card. Even if you get a 2 drop beast off of this, you are breaking even, so you didn't lose anything. I think it will be used in a more midrange hunter deck.
Welcome to MORE Boosting Brainless cancer aggro rush smashing face Hunter deck. Highmane and King Crush for 5 mana or less without card to remove efficiently. They always telling us that they wana nerf hunters but instead they boosting them.
The only way they could support hunters less is to simply not print them anything in GvG. This is one of the worst cards revealed so far.
It seems like most of you are being very shortsighted (see what I did there? Farsight? no? )-:).
This is a 2-mana draw (novice engineer w/o body) with a chance to have excellent results. Remember that if you get a beast, you don't have to play it immediately, the discount will still be there next turn. This looks like another example of blizzard trying to make it possible for each class to have multiple viable archetypes. No more "Aggro only" sign above the hunter's club.
edit: It's Control because Aggro hunter would never give up turn 2 to play this. Midrange maybe, but if you're going to play that many high-cost beasts, you're nearly control anyway.
lol...I guess Huntards deserved this...a garbage card.... I would love to see they make a card for control hunter decks the high cost beasts all suck basically...even in total there ain't that many.....there should at least be another kicker even if it's not a beast card..
To those comparing this to far sight, you're forgetting that this card only costs 2 mana. Worst case scenario this is a novice engineer without the 1/1, which IS bad. But it has the potential to be amazing. So we'll see how it performs and what kinds of new highly costed beasts we'll be seeing in this new expansion...
Two mana deck thinning. Not good on its own, but in a beast heavy deck where beasts cost 3 or more it turns into deck thinning and ramp. Farsight comparisons dont really apply because there is no ramp involved: you pay 3 you get three.
If you hit a spell or a weapon its a sub optimal play for sure, but even then on turn 4 with trap or turn 5 with a beast/weapon its not a wasted play. Possibly worth the risk of sub optimal play if you have a 55% or higher chance of a great play.
I can see this being a one-of in midrange beast focused decks. Of course, it remains to be seen if a midrange beasts can be a thing within this new set. If not, then this is definitely a dead card for now. Very niche card, and its a niche that Blizzard hasnt given much attention to.
Im sure they are going to introduce a scry (reveal x cards, put them back in any order) mechanic. Originally i thought it would be for mage, but now i believe it will be neutral.
Cards in the set that dont make sense without it:
*Gnomish experimenter
*This card
*Flame leviathan (mage class legendary, its unplayable without a consistent scry mechanic)
Pretty sure they said that there were no new keywords yet. But I would love to see scry and more keywords added.
They did add a few new mechanics like mega windfury and the foe reaper 4000.
With Flare and Tracking, I not sure if Hunter need more cards to filter their deck. In a fast aggrodeck, better to hero power, maybe in a midrange can see play, if we have more beasts costing 4/5 mana...
This is imo a powerful card. People are just not used to lategame hunter, I have a perfect deck for this card already because I love hipster decks and I see me using this x2 for sure.

I think that Control/Late Game Hunter might be a thing. The big problem with those archetypes for hunters is that hunter's don't have a good Survivability BUT Illuminator can provide this.
Anyway, I think this card is outclassed by Tracking.

I think you are not considering the fact that you don't have to play the card you draw the same turn you draw it.
The difference between gimmick and sinergy is only consistency. Mrglglrglglglglglglgl!!!

Nothing is too good not to run, except maybe Nat Pagle, and he got nerfed.
most of the GvG cards are bad .
Season 36 = Legend Rank 60 . ( https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/blog/20695745 )

This is a Control Hunter card. It belongs in a deck with Houndmaster, Oasis Snapjaw, Stampeding Kodo, Tundra Rhino, Savannah Highmane, River Crocolisk. Maybe also a Core Hound and King Krush.

Not sure if the translation is official, but the original card name in portuguese would translate to "call helper" but maybe pet sounds better
(sorry for any missssssspels - not a native english speaker + fat fingers)
Well, this completely took a dump on Far Sight.

And why would you be running a Silverback Patriarch in your deck in the first place?
