Rogue is my main, and I'm really tempted to craft Edwin just for the extra reward when pulling off combos or cheap cards. I'd also craft Valeera but she rotates out, despite DK's being almost mandatory to have a chance to win these days xd
So, I'm really confused as to what to craft right now, Edwin or DK Valeera.
Been a Rogue main since TGT, Edwin is still one of my favourite cards; as long as there are cheap spells or whatever to play, Edwin will thrive...also really fun to build a big Edwin, so it covers all the bases.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
That's a tough decision. If you are going to only play standard, then obviously edwin. However, if you play wild then what kind of deck do you want to play? Wild Tesspionage is really fun but so is miracle. If you like slower decks than valeera is really strong but if you like tempo decks then edwin is great.

I can't recall the last time I've played Edwin VanCleef.
He's got a strange kind of role. One or two procs (Backstab, Coin) and he's an OK play. Maybe some games you'll have an opponent who can't deal with big minions, and you can throw some Prep spells, but he's never really the "plan" of a deck. He's more of an opportunistic card. Maybe you draw him, see a chance, and go for it. 10/10 on turn 4 or 5, and maybe he just wins. But that's kind of a rare occurrence. Most of the time, he's a backup win condition.
That's not to say "craft Valeera." I love her, and think she's probably one of the 3 most fun hero cards (along with Rexxar and Boom). But DK only have like 2 months left before they turn into [wild] pumpkins, so I don't exactly recommend it.
I guess it depends on how YOLO you want to be. Valeera's a total YOLO at this point; probably a bad idea, but sometimes bad ideas are the best. Edwin is like a nice pair of shoes that you don't necessarily need. You can probably use him, but you'll get by. In some ways, the most "sensible" plan is to wait until the rotation, see what Rogue decks look fun to you, and re-evaluate what you want then. But if there's some deck you're itching to play, if the Myra's/Tempo decks are really tempting, I totally get it. Make that Edwin.
I've had that urge, too. After over a year at looking at it, kinda wanting to run it, I crafted Kingsbane. And a week later they nerfed the deck to the ground. :P
Edwin VanCleef is one of those cards that fits so well into the class archetype that it will find it's way into any meta and any deck (except Even Rogue). DK Valeera is only played in decks like Malygos Rogue (not Kingsbane anymore since it's become a tempo deck), and even still it's not required. It's like Crystalsmith Kangor for Even Paladin, it's not necessary, it can be easily replaced but just having it is nice. I would go for Edwin 11 times out of 10, because even just getting a quick Backstab + 4/4 Edwin on turn 2 against somethign like a Zoolock can really help you gain tempo. In addition, if you manage to get a really big Edwin, you can use him to bust through enemy taunts so that your smaller minions can hit face. It's not that Valeera is bad, it's just that it's so slow that it doesn't fit in so many places. Besides, if you can play Valeera in a tempo deck at turn 9, you're probably going to lose.

My vote is for Edwin VanCleef. :D
Edwin 100%, no regrets, don't look back. He's played in so many rogue decks and will continue to be played in them.
How can you main rogue without him? I can smell an odd player here.;)
I have Tesspionage, Deathrattle Rogue and Pirate Rogue. I just didn't get the chance to craft him yet. :)
Edwin is practically a staple for most rogue decks, and a classic card to boot, so it won't rotate out.
Besides, you want to know how high you can get his power up to on the first turn or two.
No brainer here. Edwin is probably the strongest class legendary in classic.
Strongest ? nope .. but hes the most played classic class legendary because he cost only 3 mana and can fit in any rogue deck .
Thanks everyone. 90% sure I'll go for him.

He’s sick especially with that Rogue cardback. No thought required, instant craft it and you’ll always be happy
I plan for Standard only.
Edwin is odd.
Yes. Final answer. Once Big Game Hunter was nerfed, he's become a staple in many rogue decks.
Yes you should it is one of the better legendaries.
Dead but dreaming
