This card will be unplayable in hadronox druid. In most matchups, it just becomes a 3rd witching hour for 4 mana that you are forced to play immediately after you play hadronox. Also, you cant recruit hadronox, you need to play it. For me, 2 witching hours is plenty of value. A 3rd would be straight up greedy. And I don't want to be holding onto hadronox waiting to draw my floop. It's a dead card if it's still in your deck when you play hadronox. The way I understand it, if you topdeck floop the turn after you play hadronox, it's just a vanilla 3/4.
There is a very good chance Maly will be too slow once the expansion drops. We are allowed to be greedy in the Witchwood because not many aggro tools have yet been released. Even the more aggressive decks are looking for lethal around turn 7. Does anyone remember Pirate Warrior? It was a bad game if their opponent wasn't dead turn 5. If we get a solid aggro deck, there is no way you could drop Maly on 9 mana and live to the next turn.
That considered, floop will definitely be badass in wild. A 4 mana sylvanas or ragnaros sounds fun. It could have some avianna-kun shenanigans, but lets be honest, if you get avianna-kun you've already won anyway. Floop would just earn you style points.
The card is definitely overhyped for standard. It baffles me that all people are talking about is whether or not it will be nerfed.
It's possible, but we are also making an assumption about a meta which will have cards we haven't even seen yet.
I predict 2 months after expansion this will say "while this is your hand it is a 3/4 copy of the last minions you played this turn". And then the devs will say that this card limited design space, but it in itself was not broken.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Four mana let’s it combo with six mana cards and, more importantly, this would let you double up on battlecrys.
There would be advantages to both.
I think a star change is one of the reasons this would be better than faceles, because then you can play a smaller minion, then this and make it bigger, or maybe a bigger minion, then just get the mana advantage. But the only thing is that druid (at least in wild) does not have any reliable 6 drops other than sylvanis.

Meta defining because it brings back Malygos druid, but my guess is that it won't be tier one.
The good news is that Oaken Summons has to be removed from the deck of you rely on this card, so there is less stall tactics available to the druid. But regardless an auto include in any druid deck that runs some big minions.
Standard needs a Dirty Rat badly, which I suspect will be coming. And/Or a card that disables battlecries for the opponent would do wonders. Combo decks are getting too strong.

"Brings back", isn't it a really good deck right now?
You know at first i also tought "wow what the hell yet again a druid expansion? how great!". But the more i think about it, i have to agree with you. We do not know what other cards are in the expansion, and we sure as hell cant predict the meta. Mechs could be really strong again with this new magnetic mechanic, which allows mech decks to be more durable against board clears, which in my experience was the weak point of the decks in GVG. So if for example mech decks become strong again, that means druid might not have the time to collect malygos, the combo pieces and have floop in hand before playing maly. For all we know, there could be some new dirty rat, so its definitely too early too tell.
On paper this card is obviously insanely good, but in reality i dont think it will be "meta defining". I mean I certainly want to believe that it wont be, i seriously dont want another overpowered druid deck that plays the same cards and tactics as the other overpowered druid decks that we saw in the past years, it really got boring after a while.

As always, it depends on how much aggro there is. This makes Malygos Druid so much more powerful, as you can run a huge combo without Twig or somehow keeping your Malygos alive or if you have to burn some of your spells or if you need extra reach to get through armour. And if they just burned a turn and their removal dealing with Maly this has a real chance to survive (especially if you use a Swipe to clear the board). And while providing enormous greed, you can also copy a taunt or something to make it viable against faster decks rather than being a dead card against aggro.
If Malygos Druid is relevant, this will be a big part of it. And if not I would still bet on it being a key piece of some deck while it is in standard. Copying any minion’s effect, including the battlecry, is just too powerful not to find a use. You would have to seriously consider this in any deck that doesn’t want to use oaken summons or oakheart.
It copies the last minion you played for only 4 mana. What minions (legendary mostly) would you like at 4 mana? This would include anything with high cost and battlecries. Or end of turn effects.
BTW, people who are claiming it only does 21 damage for a TTK are right, but are forgetting about Alexstraza in the mix. You don't need more than 21 damage against most opponents.
Floop is a backup of your already strong minions that are usually must remove.
A short list of minions I would like to copy with Floop (standard only, and not including the new cards yet) for only 4 mana.
Hadronox (you no longer need Naturalize on the same turn)
Bonemare (sure not played as much, but in Spiteful decks in does)
Spiteful Summoner (having a 3 Summoner and being able to play '2' in 1 turn is really powerful.
The Lich King (for obvious reasons)
Primordial Drake (a third copy seems good)
Splitting Festeroot (yeah, this sees little play, but your board cannot be cleared and is very death proof)
Ysera
Cairne (2 of them in the same turn)
Necrotic Geist (2 of them is hard to remove, and therefore could generate infinite value)
Arcane Tyrant (a third copy seems good after an UI or Spreading Plague)
Carn Cube (a third copy and the potential to Cube your Cube is really good)
Elise (double packs for fatigue games?)
Fungalmancer (in token decks, this is really really strong)
Leeroy (x2 in the same turn is 12 damage and have a Naturalize to remove a taunt)
Servant of Kalimos (play Floop the following turn and you have a nice chain going)
Corpsetaker (with the new Mech card, gets you a third copy of Corpsetaker)
Meat Wagon (you now have a 3/4 copy. only kidding, this is not that good. Or is it?)
The Darkness (it's another copy, which means more candles in the deck, combined with Naturalize, seems like a good combo)
Violet Teacher (a third copy is really annoying for the opponent to remove)
Zola the Gorgon (infinite value??? Play Zola, then Floop Zola. Then Zola Floop (which is Zola) for 10 mana.) So in Wild and Brann, this is fun.
Dude this thing is insane, you don't even need the Twig anymore, you can literally just tempo Malygos out on 9 and don't give a fuck and then turn 10 drop this new guy and go 2xInnervate, 2xSwipe and 2xMoonfire for some quick 30 damage OTK, I'm not saying Twig won't be used anymore as it gives you more mana and potential to burst decks that gain armor (56 max the opponent kills maly and 72 if they don't), so I think Alex will become absolutely core so you can even OTK Druids and Warrior without sweating too much, this makes maly druid arguably the most powerful deck, it doesn't even get "countered" or annoyed by weapon destruction techs anymore, it's like sure you destroying my weapon sucks but I still can do 30 dmg to you without it kiddo.
There are only 2 archetypes that I can see fighting this amount of power, either blizzard has to print insane aggro cards for multiple classes so Maly druid can be killed before turn 6 when they can plague or then something like Big Druid (Yet again druid jeez, prepare for the second coming of Druidstone) that can tempo out a bunch of big boys quickly that are too much for another Druid to answer and even at that point maly can high roll and draw the nuts and still kill you on turn 10. That or a more efficient combo deck that can kill maly druid faster but that for obvious reasons would be worse.
I'm not sure why people are saying this is such a broken card. This can't be any more useful in Maly Druid than Faceless which has been around forever other than this + Taldaram + innervate + swipe. But in that case, faceless +illixid is still a more consistent combo. That 1 less mana than faceless really doesn't enable anything meta breaking that wasn't there before.

Maly + Faceless is 14 mana. So it requires Twig, or Quest Druid. In other words an elaborate slow setup.
Flobbidinous + Faceless is 9 mana. Taldaram could be a problem.

Well yes but the whole point of running the Maly/Faceless/Twig build is so you have enough damage to kill other druids or warriors who have endless amount of armor. Flobbidinous/faceless is nice for some short burst. But then you'll have no way to kill any druids/warriors (sort of like freeze mage vs control warrior)
It's possible, but we are also making an assumption about a meta which will have cards we haven't even seen yet.
druid has a class mech too mulch muncher
One of the most meta-defining cards ever, Don't see how this doesn't get nerfed after a month, so safe to craft day 1.

Being denied oaken summons shouldn't matter too much - Maly druid doesn't even run oaken summons currently.

Malygos + Twig of the World Tree swing + this + Prince Taldaram + Innervate + Swipe + Moonfire x2 = 51+1 damage in a single turn. Or 36 damage, if opponent breaks the Twig. Throw in Alexstrasza for Warriors. Amazing, and the only counterplay it to rush the Druid down.

does floop carry mana reduction anyone know?. if I hit floop with florist making it 0 mana. will it remain 0 mana?
