Hello, fellow Hearthstoners! So. I just unpacked a golden Tinkmaster Overspark from the tavern Brawl today and am curious if he is worth keeping? Seems decent for all the Cubes/Void Daddys running rampant these days. Would be pretty satisfying to crush those cubes into adorable, shiny lil squirrels. Probably not, but just wondering what the general consensus is from the community.
Also, am F2P so maybe it just makes more sense to get a free Legendary of my choosing. Any/all thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated! Cheers!
He's actually seeing a bit of play as a tech card against Taunt druid because what he summons is a beast; definitely not the best one, seeing that Mage and Shaman have poly and hex; still not a top tier legendary by any standard, but if you really need to tech against druid, he's an option.
If you had a deck list that you were making that you wanted to play or anything and you needed a legendary or a couple epics it'd probably be a safe DE though.
Coolest Legendary in the Game - flavorwise - played him already long time ago...
for real viability today see above... if you need sth really important you should disenchat - on the other hand... you will keep getting him on your classic packs if you do so... so think about keeping him and wait for the next legendary you dont own (if there is something important missing)
Tinkmaster has seen play a few times over the years. He's definitely a tech card, but as mentioned already, he works fairly well against two of the three most represented decks right now (Cubelock and Druidlock). I'd personally keep him. He's the only way for non shaman/mage/warrior classes to poison the Witching Hour with a Devilsaur or Squirrel. Also the golden Squirrel and golden Devilsaur are sweet.
Moral of the story, if you like experimenting and playing with new decks, keep him. (Decks that need him as a tech against the two aforementioned decks probably aren't being played as they're probably more of a tempo/aggro deck.) If you are a rank grinder, and like achieving with meta decks, probably dust him.

One of the worst legendaries. I am happy you opened golden one, you can craft any non-gold legendary with dust.
This is far from true. A 3/3 body with a polymorph effect is very good, particularly in decks that don't have transforms. This hasn't seen much play over the past few years because most cards could be dealt with better using a silence. Now that all of this resurrect bullshit has gone crazy, Tinkmaster has become substantially better. I was debating crafting him for a second Poly in Reno Mage even.
To OP: Keep him. You never know when he'll be back in the meta. But if you need the dust for something else, feel free to dust it as you'll likely open him again eventually with all the classic packs we get.
Tinkmaster is a tech card that rotates in and out of the meta. He was universally played before the nerf, and is good enough after the nerf to have seen play on several occasions, albeit with periods of no play in between.
I still have him. I think he was either one of my first legendaries or something back right after Hearthstone released (was a beta player).
He's not great. Depends what type of class/deck you are playing. He has a poly with a 50% chance downside of being a 5/5 that can affect your own board. But if you are facing huge taunt decks or minions with just real good stats/deathrattle's where even a 5/5 is still good and don't mind the RNG then he's decent especially as a low amount of card F2P account.
Unless he was a gold legendary...then just dust it and get another meta legendary...

He's decent in Odd Mage, due to the lack of Polymorph. Beyond that, I haven't seen much of him anywhere.
Very bad card just as likely to change one of your minions into a 1/1 or your opponents into a 5/5.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

tinkmaster is a good tech card against taunt druid because it adds an extra beast to their pool

Keep it. It's neutral tech against Hadronox Taunt Druid.

This card was good before nerf but now is just another legendary in collection like Nat Pagle. You should keep it if you don't need dust at moment.
Like I always do with humpf legendaries: try it in different decks then decide
