Anyone finding any luck in utilising the Rogue DK?
I really like Rogue as a class but im not very good at deckbuilding although after playing a deck im generally good in tampering with it. Anyone have any decklists or tips for getting something out of Valeera?
I've been wondering the same, I've had a few ideas like having a weapon buff based deck and abuse the shadow reflection with deadly poison to make a beast of a weapon, but of course ooze counters this pretty well.
I've tried experimenting with different deck types like stealth and combo but none of them seem to have any real synergies with Valeera The Hollow.
The obvious one is value but it just seems so slow! Like go n'zoth or something but i feel like there is so few really good rattles on the road to the n'zoth turn!
I did try Deathrattle but I just got beaten up before I had the chance to either draw N'Zoth or Valleera The Hollow, The card'll find its way into the meta somehow, I think its just that we have to wait to see what the meta offers.
I'm playing a tweaked version of Blizzard 's recipe (Jades of Death) in WILD and I've had some of the most fun games ever against Reno DK Priest and Reno Demon DK Lock where we all got our DKs and went to fatigue.
just as jade druid, this Jade DK Rogue seems to be a control killer , but on paper seems weak to aggro. I teched Mistress of Mixtures and Healbot though, Just gotta playtest some more. Already loving it though

i don't know, the weakest point of the card is that the shadow reflection is only on your ahnd during your turn...ie: youc an't create the massive weapon ebcause if you deadly poison you'll have to use the reflected poison during the same turn, otherwise, the shadow reflection just vanishes from your hand during your opponent's turn..so there's no such thing like duplicating n'zoth or duplicating c'thun/blade of c'thun or duplicating reno, you cna just duplicate a 5 mana card at MAX,
as someone pointed out, maybe you jsut duplicate thalnoss or thaurissan or something, but that seems really slow.
It IS slow, but Just as any other late value strategy/card. If you have enough tools to fight aggro without it being insta-loss then it's a good resource. In my example above she works as a permanent Brann that can also double spells! (Burn spells, jade generators, taunts, healbots, you choose!)
I was running a Jade Deathrattle deck that seemed pretty successful before expansion. Going to tinker with it with some of the new cards and see if the DK could fit. Having extra copies of cheap Jade minions and spells would be nice with the hero power.
It's best used as many things. It's a survival tool, it's a value tool, it can help give you lethal with an extra eviscerate or coldblood, it can give you more jades for your n'zoth, or coins for your auctioneer. It's whatever you want it to be man!
I've had a lot of success with her climbing from ranks 15-10 with only one loss in Jade Rogue. She seems to shine the most vs Mage, allowing you to have a decent chance of survival against Alex if you are careful with your Mistresses of Mixtures and save them for Shadow Reflecting and Shadowcasting in the late game. Not only have I seen it get out of control with Jades but also with cards like Journey Below.
Surprisingly, Xaril is insane with the Shadow Reflections due to the fact that you can either slam down 2 if you want or duplicate the toxin if it's one you really need (like card draw). Even with the N'zoth package included I haven't had too much of a problem with aggro. It seems really solid.
I put her into a modified N'Zoth deck because that was the death knight I got from the adventure and it was a complete bust - passing a whole turn to get 5hp and a super slow passive really isn't a good deal. I think you REALLY need to have a board clear (i.e. vanish or possibly coin doomsayer on an empty board) to follow it up for the card to actually have an impact which is a real shame because it's a very interesting card.
I'd be curious to know why they felt it needed to be a 9 cost card given you can't prep it and it's already super slow even taking away the tempo hero power rogue has.
No offence, but dusting a potentially good card such as this immediately after the release of a set would be a truly foolish decision. I would only recommend it to someone if he/she doesn't have any of the other rogue cards that go with it in various decks, and only if he/she is dust-starving.
If you can control the game long enough, this DK is really good. It's inconsistent as hell but it has a ton of uses. The stealth against a mage is HUGE if you've been pressuring. And the ability to get tons of big Jades out is awesome too. Against a heavy control Dead Man's Hand warrior (he played two Garrosh DKs) I was able to just keep bouncing Aya with a Ferryman (you can play the Ferryman twice).
this was my use of valeera dk, basically it just gets to end game and summons 6 5/5's every turn. really strong against control decks, weak as hell vs midrange, and can deal with aggro most of the time. Only time it flops is if valeera is the last card in your deck since she's your win condition.
I put her in my miracle deck. She is amazing in slow matchups. She doubles all your threats. One game I casted her and put down two giants and the turn after two more giants. Double evis followed by another double evis. That kind of stuff is great. The 5armor can help in faster match ups. If she will find a place in the meta depends on if it will be slow enoug I think. I love her anyway though :)

Check out my budget spell damage brew!
Focuses on control and drawing Valeera, then using her power to duplicate damage and spell damage minions. Can do 18+ damage to face in one turn!
Malygos, coin, coin, sinister strike x 3, prep, evis. Or Malygos, coin, sinister x 2, prep, evis, prep, evis.

That's an 8 card combo which loses to high armour gain (warrior and now druid) and requires you to survive until turn 9. Not exactly consistent.
