Actually I see the Combo perectly. One turn, quest, defile where you have a chain that is at least 6 long. Quest done in one turn. Play the portal next turn. Infinite value. Spend first turns setting up chain, you can make trades to facilitate that as well.
Hear me out now, this expansion is so good, that Blizzard must be trolling us hard. They released Ticking Abomination, and everyone was like "huh, what a crap". Then they put out Treachery and this little skeleton guy. I bet that the remaining card (or two, i forgot how many are left besides DK) is going to be a minion with ongoing effect (while it's on board) that enables you to choose what card is going to be discarded.
I will punish everyone who plays this against me, I will voluntarily help them complete their quest if they play it. This is the first card where I voted Dust it.
Oh and the combo with Treachery, is it worth it for 6 mana? I don't think so. Warlocks need better cards than this and I really wish that they will get the most interesting Lifesteal cards, besides Blood-Queen Lana'thel, who might get discarded herself. It also suits them thematically. Still, there are 4 reveals left, we can all hope!
I still remember the days when I dreaded my Warlock opponents, for the synergies and insane value of Zoo decks, the Handlocks that gave you a glimmer of hope and crushed you in the end and the Renolocks that didn't even give you a chance to build up a board. It was always a healthy class until Team 5 introduced the Discard mechanic and the follow up quest Lakkari Sacrifice.
These days, I just pity the few Warlock opponents I play against. Why are they pushing the Discard mechanic so hard? I get the flavor of it, I do, and yes your hero power helps refill your hand. But if it were that great, why is almost no one playing it?
I voted Meta-Defining just because this is the first card in HS that makes discarding your opponents hand possible with Treachery. The problem is the combo is so slow it will only prob only work against control priest and quest mage.
No idea why this card is getting bashed so hard....Zoolock doesn't give a shit about the discards, the discards only come into effect if you run out of cards which is unlikely in a Zoo match.
Stahp all the hate. It could be playable in a discard themed deck. Just not a tier 1 card for a tier 1 deck...
Dude, this card is so bad that I'd be shocked to see it used even in a tier 3 deck. The only purpose this has for existing is to use with Treachery and Spreading Madness.

I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
10.4 % voted meta defining, biggest meme in hs history :D
I already can tell you it's similar to rogue quest. Bad card now and "NERF IT!" after release. "I played exodia mage and enemy lock discarded my hand! OP combo! Nerf it!". Disruption lock will be a thing.
Also u can buff your Clutchmother Zavas up to 6 times if she is your only card.
Treachery makes this card potentially the strongest card in the game, you can really just straight up win with it by discarding 2-3 cards with this combo if you have a board.
warlock might be one of the scariest anti control in the game with this type of combo
THis card sucks as a standalone card unless there's more cards you want discarded...
I am speechless once again. Blizzard, stop. Discard warlock won't be a thing no matter how hard you try. This card is just awful. Well, aside from potential memery with this + Treachery + Spreading Madness.
art is very nice effect sucks they hate warlock i guess
Unless Discard gets a controllable variant, its bad.
Even if there was the risk of losing 6 cards in hearthstone for 3 damage minion on 3 is not worth it.
This is not good even for Lakkari Sacrifice players (if there is one), because it can get your Nether Portal discarded. Simply sad.
Although the card isn't THAT good, I'm really glad we finally have a minion that discards card and doesn't do it as a battlecry.

Purify of the set, absolutely well meme'd Blizzard!
What does Silverback Patriarch have to do with this card?

Think First, Then Act.
Jesus ffs... stop it Blizzard, STOP IT!!!
Who would win? Treachery Warlock or Purify Priest?

Gorge you hatred, embrace your rage.
They are not just waiting with warlock hero for last.
Surprise maybe on the way.
