Reno Jackson, and other Reno Style cards are great in that it promotes unique deck-building outside of Aggro Face decks. Encourages control which is healthy for the game.
You don't like reno because you are a pirate warrior braindead player that can't SMorc the enemy all the game and kill him in turn 6 or 7?The moment reno will leave standard I will move to wild almost permanently (exceptions being tournaments that I will participate).I don't want a meta dominated by pirate warrior
i like that there are many reno decks now. more than ever. but if check stats, percentage of control players really didn't change.
and they are consistent only because Blizzard sucks in fear of giving strong consistent neutral healing. if we have neutral card like old Antigue Healbot, would you play Reno? i guess like 80% times no. 20% of credits goes, of course, to Kazakus. handlock or malyrogue will be such a better things to play with. or even shadowpriest. or whatever great concept, which sucks in YARRR-meta with lack of healing.
even if i don't play Reno decks now, it'll be sad that Reno won't be moved to classic set. because with Jade shenanigans it actually brings us to truly death of control. all hail the BrokeBack golems!:)
I totally agree. Some Control players are such nice people that they can't talk without insulting. Guys, loving long control matches does not make you genius. You're like some atheists who think they are as smart as Einstein or Darwin just because they do not believe in god. I made my Garrosh portrait golden by playing Fibonacci's decks. So please be nice to me and do not call me aggro player!
Now with Renolock being by far the best deck you guys will learn to hate it too (unless you play Renolock).
the card turns aggro, midrange and most combo decks into, did you draw Reno or not kind of game.
it just warps the match arround it in a not healthy way. It was fine because there was no highlander synergy before this expansion (only warlock hero power).
TBH reno decks aren't a problem. I did 1 hour of pirate warrior on ladder yesterday, that was 13 games (avg duration: 3 mn) that netted me 4 stars. Which is as much as having a 100% win rate with a control deck requiring 15 minute games. Win rate is lower, but the climb is actually much faster.
As disappointing that highlander cards were included in this expansion, it is nice to know Reno's departure will end the highlander experiment. A disappointing mechanic and sad really that the game is in this state. For those of you cheering Reno, is this really the answer to aggro you wanted? It's like a starving dog being thrown some gristle, they don't notice it isn't real meat.
Wow this was so poetic...
Actually its ridiculous how you think reno is only popular because its supposed to be an answer to aggro, and the fact that you think this proves your knowledge of the game is rather lackluster. Sure reno helps to put a stop to aggro but most people who play reno decks actually find them to be fun. Bottom line is people enjoy having to think about strategy and plan out their turns, its this wonderful thing we call "fun".
Also for the record your "cute" little metaphor or whatever you want to call it about starving dogs or some crap is absolutely silly and hardly makes any sense at all. My advice for you is next time you want to sound smart, check your facts, instead of writing some silly headass poetry.

your suffering from longer games won't be missed as i and many other players have no respect for aggro, i think it is a shame that he will rotate out but for now - deal with it
"I love playing control decks. Everybody has to play control decks and love it."
- Any Braindead Control Player
Man, i understand any saltyness but you don´t seriously mean this right? Try watching some streamers or tournaments and see them crack their brains for almost impossible hidden lethal´s and crowd/chat going nuts.
Vastly different from the experience of hammering down 1 or 2 drops in all-in strategies that require bad draws or an archetype of decks to wreck face in. Mulligan and match-up decide your win ratio and not your skill level AT ALL.
Most of those Control-plays are very obvious if you got half a brain and we got way to many rng-cards now for these kinds of plays to even matter in the long run. There used to be a time where the community didn't know all the interactions already, so playing a Doomsayer into a Mirror Entity seemed very skillful, but that time is long past and everyone knows how to make these plays by now.
So do you still agree with the fact that control is not skillful? Man you have to know exactly what is left in your deck and the opponents deck and how you will balance the usage of cards against the opponents cards.
Third party programs let you know what's left, and failing that you have the old pen and paper method. Playing control in HS doesn't require any inordinate amount of skill, the global skill cap is very low, as can attest the RNG world champion.
Reno decks are and have been far from op. Just remember you have to build a hole deck around a single card. For me reno decks have been the funniest decks in history of hearthstone. Try to play some Reno yourself, so you see what to play around and what you are facing.

Nope man, I am trying Taunt Warrior deck now.
Edit: By the way, I am not calling all control players braindead or stupid, just the ones who force others play control also.

Legend x1: 27th season - N'Zoth Rogue only.
Hurr Durr, Aggro Pirates We.
Release the Kraken!
When does Reno Jackson rotate out?
fuck reno decks .
Season 36 = Legend Rank 60 . ( https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/blog/20695745 )
I think Highlander decks need more stuff like Kazakus and Raza. Maybe more survival tools.
Not stuff like Reno that basically resets the game for the Reno player, wasting all previews effort.
Self-healing is ok, self resurrection is not, no matter how harsh the condition is.
