To me it seems like an attempt to help people that has no legendary cards at all to be competitive (well, with a little bit of random taste). At the beginning of each game where this card is in, you have no idea of what could happen. Obviously it should ruin some decks since aggro are build in order to maintain a certain curve, but i think that since control decks are slow by definition, having some (random) options it won't be that bad (and you decrease the chance of mill yourself in some cases).
My God, Ben Brode, what RNG nonsense is this? 5 legendaries, any legendaries. What Control deck won't run this? But just like with the Yogg, you get get fucked or you can instawin.
This is really a wait and see card. It could be incredibly powerful.
If you have 30 cards and you go first you have a 3.85% chance of drawing a card you have one copy of and a 7.69% chance of drawing it if you have two copies (in your next draw)
If you start with 35 cards and go first you then have a 3.13% chance of drawing a one off and a 6.25% chance of drawing something that you have 2 copies of (next draw)
These differences are small but for competitive play the risk of diluting the deck may be too great for this to see play.
Whatever happens, we're going to see a lot of this guy in the weeks after the adventure comes out.
This is a great card, but what deck actually wants to use it? Fatigue is a dead style of play at this point in time in standard, so maybe it'll be wild only for a while?
Cool thanks for the info, so will it be like a cthun pop up on board and shuffle them in on first turn? or do i need to have him on hand? it says at the start of the game but then it should have effect wherever it is? thanks :)

The best fighter is never angry. Self-control is the chief element in self-respect. And self-respect the chief element in courage.
It's not very good for advanced players, I mean, it decreases the chance to draw your response and synergy cards early on, but it's a good cards for new players. I recently helped a friend of mine starting the game, and the lack of good cards/legendaries was really big, and this card can help to solve the problem (considering the "standard" deck for new players is something that resemble a mid-range, with a good mana curve and "meh" minions).
To wrap things up: playable, but probabily not in high level play :)
Regardless of the card, this new mechanic is cool, we will see more card with "at the start of the game" in the future i guess !
Love the tribes.

As far as I understand. Your Deck will have 5 more cards if you have this card in your deck.
There will probably be an animation in the beginning of the match where 5 legendary’s are added. This is a great card for all control decks.

Ridiculous card.

Missing lethal since June 2015.

This card would be "meta" if hearthstone didn't have shitty legendaries all over the place ):
BUT I'm so excited to play this on my Legendary Ramp Druid :D It's like 5 times more legendary than before
Any reason to play Elise over this?
IMHO: worse than Pit Fighter in any situations other than fatigue wars.
All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.

if only perma-stealth still existed...
