I just wonder: what if they will add a card like "if your oponent has at least x legendaries in his deck summon some awesome things?" Could be fun like yogg.
A lot of people saying it's a natural fit for Renolock, which I don't get. Is this card not bad for Renolock? I might be misunderstanding the text but could it not potentially give you 5 copies of the same legendary? I mean, the likelihood of that must be low but still, surely you wouldn't chance that?
Honestly THX team5 . I'm really glad they push for really new and fresh contents in Hearthstone. I'm not speaking about how much this card is playable, but I want to see this kind of new things is pretty exciting.

I don't think you people understand really where this card will actually work. It won't work in control, because you are behind and it is easy to remove for opponent. Hence all you get is a pit fighter. And who the hell would want to play this card against an aggro deck on curve? You want to draw a heavy legendary that you can't play instead of your board removal? No. This card will work in tempo decks, perfect for Zoo, cause you know they can actually can get a profit from it since, you will be struggling to remove his board and when you drop it on 5, zoo gets some top end now. This card is for tempo decks, not for control, a card for warlock class mostly, which makes sense since it is a demon.
It no way this card is "meta-defining". At best it's a card that might work in some types of decks, let's say fatigue. The prince himself is a mere 5/6, and the legendaries he will add to your deck could not only disturb the curve, but also be bad in any way possible (Pagle, Cho, Greenskin, etc.).
I'm surprised to see so many people call it THAT good.
damn, on one hand it's a huge deal in fatigue games, on the other tho, it can lose you the game by giving useless draws and fk you up, wish it was a battlecry :/
This card is really good. As with most very good Legendaries in this game besides the ones that are border line broken (Dr.Boom mainly) you have to take a risk when playing them.
Ragnoros: Your risk is RNG
Tirion: Your risk is it getting totally destroyed by silence or a weapon tech and losing a ton of tempo
Reno: We all know what we have to do for Reno
Elise: You risk replacing the rest of your deck with underperforming Legendaries.
Etc..
With this card, it has exceptional stats but the downside is of course the Legendaries are completely random and they may force you to draw of curve. Those are pretty much the only two downsides for this powerful card. To every pointing out these, you are literally just pointing out the obvious; yes we know we will have to take this risk as with the other powerful Legendaries in the game so if you are prepared to risk it for the biscuit the buckle up! If not than don't play it. It is a good card but it really is just preference.
Something else about this card is that I think it's just making Warrior better. Control decks usually dont suffer too much whenever they have to play off curve and this card definetly seems to be favored by the control archtype. Of course the best class for control is Warrior and it just got another tool along with its most recent class card we just saw.
I will definitely try it out in other archtypes though, I am a fan of Shaman so I wonder if this will go well in some kind of Shaman. Really you can just put this card in any deck that isn't aggro tbh.
Do you people actually believe you will get benefit from this card in control deck? No chance he survives 1 turn against aggro or control, playing it in control deck. You will see it in zoo just watch it.
Every expansion there's a card that the general populace vastly overrate (Princess Huahauahauahran last time) - this is that card.
44% "meta-defining!" is definitely overrated. But very good and auto include in some decks (any type of slow warlock, control warrior/priest), yes. And one of these decks might be meta defining in the future.
Don't get me wrong I think it's a good card - certainly playable in specific decks but I'd just like people to be a little less insane about it because it's effect is shiny.
Honestly I think its just bad. It would probably even be better if it was a battlecry instead of at the start of the game since at the start of the game you risk drawing lots of bad legendaries early on. Drawing turn 2 Deathwing, Dragonlord and never being able to play it is disasterous. Elise Starseeker is much more preferable because you can choose to keep your deck in its normal deck without polluting it until you actually NEED late game.
That being said, this is a very good legendary to get off of Elise Starseeker. Other than that its totally unplayable. Even in fatigue decks.
Can anyone please try to convince me this card is good? Its a cool card and obviously its great if you're playing against exclusively control decks but if you have this in your deck against an aggro or tempo deck it can lose you the game without you even having to draw it.
As you observe, it's great in a slow meta-game, and otherwise, not - but that can be said for virtually any card in the game which costs more than 3-mana and doesn't effect the board when played. I mostly play Wild - the format is glacial compared to what is currently seen in Standard. If Standard slows down, Malchezaar will presumably see a great deal of play - I expect he'll be a fixture in Wild for the foreseeable future.
But even then I don't see why you wouldn't just play Elise Starseeker. The likelyhood that ladder becomes exclusively control decks, which is what you would need for this card to be playable, is essentially null. Plus, since Prince Malchezaar plays by normal deck building rules he won't give you legendaries that you already have in your deck. That meaning Legendaries that you actually WANT. No second Tirion Fordring. No second Grommash Hellscream. You're getting The Beast, Millhouse Manastorm and Anomalus.

No it adds 5 different legends
Has that actually been clarified or are people just assuming that because the text says ‘extra’ instead of ‘random’? Because that doesn’t seem like too much to go on to me. But if true then yes, would certainly be good for Renolock. For other control decks I don’t actually think it’s that great although I’m sure a decent proportion of people will run it.
It will follow the deck-building rules, so it will not give you duplicate legendaries and it will give you ONLY neutral and class legendaries. The extra implies more, but within these boundaries. They are random too.
i will just go back to Wild with Malchezar + Fel Reaver fun deck.

It's bad for Renolock - no guarantee of not getting the same legendaries and it will be even harder to draw Reno when you will actually need it.

Edit: comment somehow didn't go where I wanted, time to say something relevant to this card
Cool for fatigue, and cool for your opponent having to use more removal, could give you really terrible draws though. So some ups, some downs.

Start of GAME
Not Start of Turn.
This card is insane. I always wanted to ruin the synergy my deck has and put random legendaries into it.
Tfw only 5.1% of the polls passed reading comprehension in elementary school.
Dpes it have a factor on class cards? If I don't have jaraxxus.. Will it most of the time add it?
Really good renolock card.. Since more cards meanslifetap has more value.
