Hi, I was just wondering about the resulting diffrences between Possessed Villager and Argent Squire. I know one is deathrattle and one is divine shield but they are still kind of the same. With Possessed Villager you can attack another minion it dies and you summon another 1/1. With argent squire you attack another minion and you are left with a 1/1. Is there something I'm missing here because I haven't seen anyone compare these 2 cards before.
Also I'd say each has their merits based on class, for example argent squire works better in paladin because paladin has buffs and the bigger the divine shield minion the more value the divine shield.
possessed villager is good for summon effects (obviously) and death effects. I'd still rather have possessed villager most of the time tbh

There is literally an entire thread just about this card, and there are heaps of comparisons and explanations of how its better and sometimes worse than Argent Squire. I detail almost all the most relevant ones HERE.

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
It's quite easy: Knife Juggler, Power Overwhelming and the new Warlock-Card: Darkshire Councilman. Each of them benefits far more from Possessed Villager than from Argent Squire. But there are some scenarios in Warlock Zoo where Argent Squire is better: If you Power Overwhelm the Squire and then use Void Terror on it, since you can keep more health or even keep the overwhelmed minion alive. Also you can overwhelm it, trade with it, and then use Shadowflame. This can sometimes be more difficult with Posessed Villager.
But i like it that it's diverse: the one is in one situation better, the other in others; that how hearthstone should be: not one minion is always better than another and is a must have. It should be diverse.
Buffed by Power Overwhelming: Squire is dead, Villager spawns a 1/1. Villager wins
Buffed by any other buff: Squire is left as whatever it was buffed by, Villager is either alive, buffed, or has spawned a 1/1. Squire wins
Killed by Void Terror: Villager spawns a 1/1, squire is dead. Villager wins
Silenced: Both are left as 1/1's. Tied
As you can see it's two ties, one win for squire, but two for Villager. In most cases, in zoo at least (Where villager will most likely be played) Villager wins. I'd run villager most of the time myself
Not to mention that Warlock never buffs a unit without PO, so Squire's one win doesn't even count.

I've seen the comparison before I believe.

Possessed Villager works better with:
-Void Terror,Power Overwhelming,Knife Juggler,Darkshire Councilman.
also more chance of getting this out of Dark Peddler.
Argent Squire works better with:
Defender of Argus, Spawn of N'Zoth.
I think it's better in the cases that matter.
