Flamewaker is good for clearing tokens/small minions and pinging face, this guys will be good to keep weapon classes and midrange threats in check.
In Wild it has the potential to be almost a permanent Frost Nova which also can target the heroes, I'm afraid it would be outright OP in case of having better stats.
The major concern about this is that he may indeed lose the slot to Water Elemental as it's better on curve and Flamewaker is more aggressive/faster for Tempo decks.
Also, we need confirmation wether it can really target the same minion twice. When it comes to random damage it stops targeting already dead minions, so it'd make sense for already frozen characters to not be targeted anymore by the RNG.
Damn. now freeze mage can burst you while hitting your face. This is both good for freeze and tempo mages. But i cant help to notice that all mage cards have an affinity for rng
I dunno. I think this card could be pretty useful. You gotta remember, a coin is a spell too. You could coin out a lance for 4 damage and freeze 2 things. It's randomness and stats are a problem, but I think it's playable. Plus you don't have to attack something to freeze it, like with the elemental. I think the underestimation of this card will come back to haunt some people.
Meh, seems pretty weak. Low attack stats, effect that is quite situational (you need to have cheap and useful spells in your hand, and enough mana to cast them). More often than not, it won't target an interesting character. Overall, it will die easily without having much affect on the board.
Jesus christ you people are chat level 25 sometimes. "LOL WATER ELE AND FLAMEWAKER SO MUCH BETTER"
Not even the same abilities, at all. Water Elemental has to attack EACH character it wants to freeze, and it doesn't have Haste, so it can't freeze the same turn it comes out. This can.
Flamewaker does two damage, which is great when you need only... two damage, but when you're not actually going to kill it with two damage, it's probably better to perma freeze it without having to attack it.
I think that midrange mage will be a strong deck, the stats are poor but the effect is very powerfull, and it can combo with Ice Lance
My magic will tear you apart!
good against combo druid xD
FOR THE HORDE
People are really saying this card is bad!? Geez!

Better for longer games, so a slower tempo Mage? Maybe fatigue runs this? Definitely anti control tech

Yeah, Beat It
I like it. Playable in freeze

This clearly is not a tempo mage material. Maybe in reno/fatigue.

If it can't target the same character twice then its probably broken.
Why complain? Did you see what else mage got? Stop pissing, you're getting it everywhere.
good in arena? no it isn't :/ there are many other 4 mana rare drops you'd rather take over this in arena and this guy needs spells to be "effective"
Perhaps, helps the player to survive until "Hope's, End." I would love to play that fun deck.
Could be good in tempo mage

Bad
4 Mana = Trash
It seems alright but that statline is so weak with a 4 mana card, should have at least been 3/4 imo
This is strong. Think about how many times you need to handle just one more threat.
