Pure value determinations are based on (Power+Health)/Mana cost. It may be reductive to call this a "4 mana 6/6", but its certainly a valid way to evaluate the card. Whenever you summon a minion, you are buying a collection of stats for a certain cost. Barring silence, this card gives you 6/6 for 4 mana. It's also reasonable to point out that 6/6 spread out over two bodies can, at times, be vastly superior to 6/6 in a single body. Additionally, given that you should expect either a 2/3 or a 3/2 to drop from a Piloted Shredder, you're getting approximately the same value without the variance. No one looks at Piloted Shredder and says "that's a 4 mana 4/3".
How is it weak to silence? You can pretty much ping it with anything same turn, if necessary, or charge it or whatever. Actually its a much more versatile Nerubian egg, simply because it has 1/1. It can attack and easily pinged if you chose to. I love it.
I don't think it's THAT weak to silence. Lets say it gets Owl'd. The two cards will then trade evenly. Each player is out 1 card, you are out 4 mana and he's out 2 mana. It's bad, yes, but not the end of the world, and your opp now has one less silence, which might be a lot more of a scarce resource than your minions he'd like to silence.
I think it curves more awkwardly than people are thinking. You want to run Abusive Sergeant and Defender of Argus anyway in a zoo deck. Egg was so good because you could play it most of the time without a real loss to tempo, and it would just sit there until you were ready to make it awkward for your opponent. Spending four mana on a 1/1 is too huge a tempo loss for zoo. Dreadsteed decks are control decks. This is a control card that works against control decks. No matter how much the game slows down, there will be a "most-aggressive" deck in the meta that punishes cards like this. I just don't think it does enough to see play in constructed. I think it will occasionally be a "least-worst" pick in Arena.
What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Deathrattles like this have some use as simply a minion that your opponent does not want to kill. I've been playing Zoo, and sometimes the Nerubian Egg is great just to sit there and add that extra body you might need for Gormok's battlecry. Or as a body that you're pretty sure will be there next turn for Power Overwhelming. Multiple people have already, of course, mentioned it as AOE protection.
wtf with all this positive votes? even egg is a bit slowy, and this is 4 mana drop. For such price they could do do this at least 2-2 minion, so it could deal some damage, and this is actually just too slow 5/5 which will work in 2 turns for 4 mana. That can be some middle-quality rare card, but sure not an epic.

Well, what rates such plays are?) I'm trying on any good chance to kill that egg (even if it is silenced))), just not to give zoo-lock additional body for Argus or Overwheelming
Of course you kill a silenced egg - but if you don't have a fairly favorable trade ready to go it may sit there for a few turns. This one does not have as much upside as egg - but do you really want to let a 5/5 loose if you need to trade a minion to kill it? And that minion often costs 5 mana - there are fairly few 4 mana 5 attack minions. Though Savage Combatant and Tomb Pillager are likely to become more popular...
Unless they kill aggro completely this probably won't see play. paying a 4 mana 1/1 against any aggressive deck means you lose
Its loose against mid decks too, opponent plays 4/3, you plays this 1/1, on next turn your 5/5 got died from spell. You have 1 less creature and already 4 damage to face.
This can work in deathrattle decks only, nice card for Raptor rogue with Nzoth on late-game.
Maybe we'll see it in competitive play if Volazj+N'Zoth priest will be a thing and/or Raptor Rogue stays strong enough, but I think this will mostly be a card for gimmick decks in Wild :P

Right? Tirion Fordring thanks you for silencing this.

Getting it stolen with Cabal is horrendus though.

Really really good. Replaces a lot of Deathrattle cards from Naxx and GvG. Less consistent value but really cool.

Nice card! :D
Feign Death, Reincarnate, Baron Rivendare, Unearthed Raptor, Herald Volazj, N'Zoth, the Corruptor and probably some other cards I haven't thought of...should be played in DR gimmick decks for sure...in competitive play I'm not sold on it....yet

i dont know how i felt about this card, it seems to be a prizer and bad nerubian egg to me

A very poor tempo play, nice with Herald and N'zoth (Raptor Rogue auto-include too)

It seems to me like a fixed version of Nerubian Egg. So fixed that it probably won't see play. It makes Corrupted Healbot look decent.
I might be wrong though, I'm sure somebody told Brode and his cronies back in the naxx days that a 0/2 for two would be played by nobody.
It all depends of the meta...
How is this better than Yeti? Maybe in raptor rogue, but otherwise?
That new Priest legendary is looking better every day...

Yub... I'm gonna play Rogue and Shaman when standard hits.
