Wow, I've been whining a bit about how mediocre the WoG card reveals have been so far (expect eater of secrets), but this one takes the cake for being bad. Why... why would they print this? a 2dmg weapon is practically worthless as it is, but to make it cost 5mana is insane. It has zero application aside from a fatigue war mirror match, and even then this would barely influence the outcome of the game.
LOL How do you figure that exactly? It would game breaking at 3 mana OP as hell. Must be rank 25.
Seriously?
Adding "Battlecry/Deathrattle: Draw a card" to a card is generally considered a 1 mana effect (Gnomish or Azure Drake for example). But the deathrattle of this card is worse than that, since the "new card" it gives you is guaranteed to be bad - a 2/2 weapon is nice on turn 2, but worse than the average card in your deck if drawn on turn 4 (the reason why you put Fiery War Axe in your deck is because if you have it in your opening hand then you win the game, but its a bad draw after turn 5)
So based on the above, what we have is substantially worse than the following hypothetical card: "3 mana Fiery War Axe: Deathrattle: draw a card" because that card would be a 3/2, while this card is a 2/2 and is guranteed to 'draw' you a bad card. And the difference between a 3/2 weapon and a 2/2 weapon is enormous...
So yeah - I was exaggerating when I said it was unplayable at 3 mana, but it would still be a lot worse than a card like Fiery War Axe (admittedly one of the best cards in the game) if it was dropped to that cost. Basically this card is garbage. The fact we are having genuine arguments about whether it would be playable if 2 mana cheaper kind of sums it up.
Your not that intelligent are you? But a A for effort trying to compile a argument when you completely ignored what i was referring to and the comment to which i replied. It was said that this card would still be trash if it costed 3 mana...I said it would be OP and broken which it would be. Now go sit down and actually read things before you reply and make a ass out of yourself writing paragraphs. And no your wrong 100% on the 3 mana so stop trying to defend your exaggeration it would be broken if it costed 3 mana.
Fatigue warrior.. Leave it for last.. Most turns u fo nothing but hero power.. U can equip this.. I think it will see some play in control and fatigue warrior
Warrior keep getting junk weapons after Naxx's deathbite.
GVG's miss hammer, TGT's kill yourself faster blade and now WotG's hentai weapon. At least make it when hit inagainst female heroes. Let them make some "special emotes".
tbh I was planning to spend all my gold on packs, just for the fun of it, but after the grand tournament fiasco and now this, I guess I'll just craft the viable cards, bcuz its not looking good so far.
I could see this being really good for a match going into fatigue. And/or when both you and your opponent are in top deck mode. All other times, a different weapon would be preferable(excluding Cursed Blade).
It was argued for all of these that in slow enough control matches, they would be insane. It didn't pay off for any of them, even Malorne which has good stats for it's mana without the effect is unplayable.
This weapon at 3 mana has terrible 'normal' stats for it's mana, compared to Fiery War Axe or even the unplayed King's Defender. So for Tentacles for Arms to be worth it, the replay-value at 3 mana would have to be so insane that you would want to play a crappy card for 3 mana over and over again. The problem is that the further along you get in the game, the weaker 2 attack becomes. If you replay this card for the first time at 6 or 7 mana, you're already facing either an aggro board that makes taking face damage very painful indeed and a tempo loss even more so, or a fellow control board that has no reason to be full of 2 HP targets. Everyone who has played rogue without weapon buffs knows how weak a low attack weapon is in a control match-up. On top of that, equipping this weapon stops you from playing stronger ones, since unlike the infinite value minions mentioned above, you can only have one weapon equipped at a time.
In short, at 3-mana this stronger but more expensive rogue hero power for a class that has little synergy with it and indeed has anti-synergy because of the other weapons it uses, would still be too weak to become a staple card.
At 4 mana, it would just be stupidly useless.
At 5 mana, I doubt this will get an arena rating of over 10/100.
Maybe if this was a 3/2 weapon...but even then...I think a 4/2 would not be broken for 5 mana, you take the face damage most likely, and spending half your mana for 8 damage and whatever you take to the face would still be bad if not for the deathrattle.
Maybe Orgimmar Aspirant will see some play now *kidding*, but hey, anything can happen.
In it's current state, just like most of us said, it's just more dust.

Malorne can be 'destroyed' by transform spells or silence. This weap can also be 'destroyed' but in a much more with lex and difficult way.
Equip jaraxxus with tentacles then get holy knight to silence jaraxxus and break weapon normally.
Death's Bite rotated out of Standard
King's Defender in TGT
Cursed Blade in LoE
Now this crap in Whispers.
Someone at Blizzard hates Warriors.

And then Blizzard wonders, why people use so many vanilla cards in their decks...

My guess is there will be a minion who reduces weapon cost to combo with this

We all agree this card is horrible, and would still be horrible at 4 mana. The interesting question for me is:
How strong would this card have been at 3 mana?
I've heard some people say that would have made it insane, but I doubt it. We've seen plenty of cards before that have potentially infinite value:
Anub'arak
Malorne
The Skeleton Knight
Explorer's Hat
It was argued for all of these that in slow enough control matches, they would be insane. It didn't pay off for any of them, even Malorne which has good stats for it's mana without the effect is unplayable.

My modification:
4 mana, 2/2
deathrattle: shuffle this card into your deck.
Would still generally suck, but would have some actual use in Fatigue Warrior.
So Warrior getting his own personal poisoned blade...only question is which one is worse....hard to tell but defenitely 100 dust
