Have you tried... running counters? There's this lovely fellow named Chief Inspector who gets rid of Secrets, and against Pirate you just need a little more AoE/earlygame/some sort of freeze. If your class doesn't have any, drop in Doomsayer or Depth Charge. Not hard.

That's the most bullshit thing in Hearthstone ranked.

I'm not sure what OP is talking about. Wild is a great format and not "ruined".
I just got to Rank 5 on EU server playing Priest. I fooled around with some Awaken the Makers/N'Zoth Priest builds from 10 to 8, then played Murozond/Togwaggle Combo Priest from ranks 8 to 7 (after the expansion hit), then switched to a Dragon/Mind Blast Priest build with no cards from DoD to get to rank 5.
Yeah, I saw Pirate Warriors and Secret Mages, but I did not find them oppressive to play against - winning some, losing some. Playing against them was actually pretty interesting game play, as you had to be very careful about mulligans and play choice. I saw A LOT of Mech Paladins. Very annoying, and made me tech two Mass Dispels.
The Wild meta is very healthy. Although there are obviously popular decks, you never know what you'll see. It is also possible to be successful with any class.
Yo!! I'm interested in that... however, all of my experiments with odd warrior fail the test when it comes to real play. My odd warrior doesn't seem to have a real win condition other than to go into fatigue. and since it doesn't have a win condition it is extremely vulnerable to Reno and Mechathun decks.
You are just bad at the game my dude, DoD is barely relevant in wild, it created gala zoo up there with the other warlock decks and gave a boost to PW that is just another regular aggro deck in wild and that's all it did.
Be grateful that mages and warriors are our pillars of hope that hold down the priests. Because they are big, slow, annoying and they are waiting.
Wild is VERY healthy RN, play some warlock and get good.
Lately more different decks show up in wild (I'm playing rank 5-1). And I guess the wild meta might change a bit again now that the nerfs are here. For me the mode is still interesting enough to play.

Or maybe the Pirate Warriors, Secret Mage and Mech Paladins have already got to Legend...
Wild also has its meta but it is more varied because in standard there are very few combinations of decks putting some tech or more value while in wild there are a lot of combinations for different game plans.
I used to think that wild was horrible because it was pure netdecking, it is true there are some cards that are universally good in certain archetypes and that never leave their class, for example Meca'thun in Warlock.
But I have been playing a lot of wild lately and the reality is that it is more fun to have many different situations and think of more optimal moves in the next turn.
If you want to play specific decks you must include tech cards, I assure you that you will be fine, you just have to adapt to any situation and think what moves your opponent will make.
We have all been frustrated by a deck because we lose or get angry at finding that archetype, some of us have done rage quit and we have shouted at our rival for rudeness. We are human and we have feelings, we feel good when we win or we feel frustrated about losing. But it is necessary to learn from our mistakes both in video games and in real life.
It's a shame that very few streamers play wild in Spanish-speaking, I don't know the situation in other regions but the only ones I've seen are Solem and Roffle, they inspired me to use deckbuilding and create my decks and it was also my new year's purpose.
Sorry if there are some things nothing to do with the thread t but it excites me.
Short conclusion: Wild is more fun and varied, if you want to play specific decks in that format you must adapt to those arquetypes with some tech cards.

Hehehe, reminded me of this guy
DoD ruined my marriage!
Agreed
Op is really funny and just proved he does not have any knowledge of the wild meta

I'd be interested in what your build is.
Mech Paladin should farm both decks...

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

WHY ARE PEPLE PLAING GOOD DECKS ON HIGH RANK WHY WHY PLAY BAD DECKS NOT GOOD DEKS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - Every post like this
That is why I hang out in ranks 15 to 10, lol
You defeat both, easily, with a taunt odd warrior. if you are not able to adapt yourself to meta, dont play this game.
When you are legend, you can play fun decks again
