Im playing this version which cuts the Armor Vendor for Demonic Studies. Im still testing but so far its ok against aggro and control. You can discover Spirit Jailer, Tickatus or set up a 2 mana discount with Tansim Roame.

I'm tired of these posts. There are too many complains. Don't forget that Blizzard doesn't owe us anything. We all decide if we give our time or money to the game. If you don't like it, its okay to let it know but ultimately, just don't play it. Remember that before anything, this is a paid CCG and anything they do to make the experience better is appreciated. The track system is way better than the old gold quests.
I am DrBalanced#1976 and I've been playing HS since the start, being a Top 100 legend player every month for the past years. This is the first time I make a rant post. I'm doing this to call Wild players to start asking Activision | Blizzard for a nerf to these two overpowered cards that alone already have high power, but when combined make Aggro Druid the best deck in the format by a large margin.
People playing at lower ranks wont notice this, but when you get to the Top 100 you get to see this deck a lot. As many other board based archetypes before, its the combination of stats/low mana cost and card refill that makes it totally unbalanced. Not even Reno Priest or Reno Warlock, decks that have a large removal kit, can deal safely with the board before Voracious Reader comes in and resets your progress to zero.
Some very niche strategies can beat it with a lot of effort, for example Even Shaman, but only after you get your health reduced to less than half in the first 6 or 7 turns before actually swinging the game. This, of course, considering your opponent didn't Embiggen + Pirate board flood + Voracious Reader in hand. Other broken cards like Mark of the Lotus are also part of the problem but my main take is on Voracious Reader specifically.
Some suggestions would be to make Embiggen cost 1 and to reduce Voracious Reader health to 1 so it can be pinged. Added a poll so you can vote a discuss. ¡Have a good day!
Don't mind the older comments, this card is absurdly powerful in Wild, as it replaces Arcane Intellect and makes Secret Mage OP against slower control decks.
The interaction is fine and it does not need a nerf or change at all. There are a lot of decks that beat it that are not aggro, like Darkest Hour Warlock.
Standard is pretty good right now. We live in a cycling meta, with the top deck being contested by other two, which in turn get countered by other two and so on.

I agree to the nerf, the card is bonkers and its actually very good it doesn't have Standard support or it would break the whole game.

Good effect but the cost is too high to ever see play. I'll consider it if it costed 4 mana.

If you thought Rigged Faire Game was absurdly powerful...

Still works when more than one.

Of all mentioned, only Sap its worth a HoF, and then maybe Edwin VanCleef.

If you want to play greedy warlock, play Mecha'thun or Cubelock.

Seems ok but very weak to AoE, maybe cutting the 2x Cold Blood for something else...

There are topics like this everyday, yet I only see more and more new players logging into the game. My friends' list has never been so full.
