I've been on and off with hearthstone since release. Never made a serious push for legend, but at the moment I'm rank 8. Played dragon priest from 17 to 15. Miracle rogue from 15 to 10. Sitting at rank 8 now and I'm back to playing a dragon priest deck that doesn't do too well vs. warrior, but does fairly well against everything else. Aiming for rank 5 in the next few days; we'll see how we go.
Trying my first grind to legend. I reached rank 5 like every season without much difficulty, and since tuesday the 14th I'm trying to go further. At first, I was going for the high-paced top tier decks, but after 3 days and 50 matches with Pirate Warrior and Dragon Priest, I ended up exactly where I started: rank 5 with 1 star. So I decided to change approach and go for the deck I feel most comfortable with, Renolock, a deck I have over 200 ranked wins with. Within 2 days, and a w/l record of 17/7, I am now at rank 3 for the first time (:
Just wondering what I'll do if I hit a losing streak with Renolock
I managed to hit Rank 5 this morning for the first time! This is my third season playing HS so I'm really happy with that (started when MSoG released). Now that I'm here, it's time to grind for Legend.
was really busy in the start of the month played like 5 hours in 2 weeks, had some free time this weeks, wasnt expecting to reach legend for the 6th time this month :P
Played Xixo water rogue from r15 to r4, and Synpoozy dragon warrior from r4 to legend.
Such a lively forum!!! I've been trying a Pirate Warrior Deck with the most success in ranked scenes. I know, I know I'm a scum for using such a mindless deck, but hey it works really well if your opponents don't have either: Heal/Good Taunts/Buffs
Sorry for reposting, but I'm in a college right now... And are there any good specific time in NA Americas servers where all the scrubs play ranked??? I seriously do not have enough time to grind out against rounds that last for longer than twenty minutes and I end up losing sometimes as well :C R.I.P. my sanity
Many aggro players around rank 4 to legend. So I decided to grind out the last stars with Reno Mage boasting a 36 - 18 record. So if you're proficient with the deck, you should give it a try.
Props to the people who let themselves succumb to the mind-bogglingly staleness that is the meta.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
Started today's session 4-0 to hit Rank 2 for the first time ever only to derank back to Rank 4 with a 3-13 slump after it. My main goal for March was to get a golden Valeera portrait (71 wins March 1st; 406 wins currently), so I'll probably won't push for legend as now it feels like a side quest for me.
Got to rank 5 with my homebrew midrange paladin. Is it too late to make the legend grind without committing 24/7?
Mostly depends on winrate; I imagine it's still feasible if you have a very high winrate, though I have no idea how good Midrange Paladin is.
Depends on what the meta is at rank 5-legend. pirate warrior is like 40% winrate, shaman seems to come down to if i have finja on 5 or not. Egg druid is about 50/50. Haven't faced too many dragon priests, but I would assume i have a good winrate vs them unless they start with all removal. Jade druid and renolock are like 80/20, only losses there were god draws by opponent. Haven't seen too many reno mage, but that should be pretty favorable due to Anyfin Can Happen once i pop ice block. Tempo mage is a tough matchup, but not too many of those around.
Honestly, with a 40% Winrate against the most played deck in the game, this is going to be very long grind. You can try and hope for the best, there is nothing to lose. Good Luck.
I mean if you're having fun I suppose it never hurts to try, but yeah... Pirate Warrior is probably going to eat your lunch at this point in the month/meta. That being said I could be wrong and maybe the rest of your positive winrates can carry you there? Jade and Renolock are still decent portions of the meta so having a solid winrate against them seems like a big plus.
