I'm not ranting, I've faced this deck a lot and lost almost every time. I just legitimately want to know what I can do to beat this deck. What decks are advantageous, and what can I do to put myself in a favourable position against the deck?
Aggro I guess. Sucks to play against it with a slower deck. Even my control shaman has a hard time with it. Too much big crap to remove, as soon as you can't remove 1 big minion it's over.
Hard mulligan for removal against mage. Hex, teched in BGH, sap, etc...
Shaman is in a pretty great position against mage if you want a good matchup. Murloc generally swarm before they can combo big and the poison murloc takes out the giants. Control for me runs 2x hex and 2xhagatha’s scheme.
Control Shaman can handle it. Find your Hagatha's Schemes as quickly as possible, save Zentimo for a triple Hex, and use your frog man to find extra copies of either of those two. Throw in Hagatha the Witch, and you're likely to find the extra removal needed to get you to the finish line where you can just outlast them in fatigue.
It's a really fun challenge, imo. Those are my favorite matchups in the meta right now.
I've played the quite a lot and can win most of my matchups. Hunter is a torn in my eye though. Spider bombs, deadly shot and constant damage is just too much.
Thanks guys (most of you) for the help. It's quite an interesting matchup using Mech Hunter or Paladin, but it just feels so bad to play against it with Tempo Rogue or and Warrior deck. I guess the best way to beat a deck is to play it yourself and find it's weaknesses :/
What's frustrating is 4+ full board loads of giants.
With my slower rogue deck I was able to smartly destroy 3 full boards of giants (so about 12 giants total), but I couldn't deal with the FOURTH conjurer's...
Yes, I know my being able to kill the Khadgar (not smart enough to keep a cheap shot in hand before vanishing, I must admit), but FOUR callings?
This is why Naga Witch was nerfed.
Loading the board with giants is not balanced or fun.
The card needs to be nerfed: maximum minion cost on the summon needs to be 6 or 8.
Well, all of the Mage decks on the ladder are the Summoner or Dragon Mage, so your mulligan is very straight forward. Doesn't mean you will win, but at least you know what type of Mage you are facing.
On the other hand, I play both the Machine Gun Mage and Kalecgos Summoner Mage, so if you face me, you won't know how to mulligan properly.
The question is this: Is Mountain Giant the issue? The Calling spell? Or both combined? Or nothing is wrong, both cards are fine.
Depending on your answer, the follow up question is how do you deal with it? How would you 'fix' it?
It's a really hard matchup for my control warrior. I have beat it, sometimes they just dont' draw well. Sometimes they lose a conjurer's calling to that spell that draws 3 cards and discards the spells.
But, if they can play the giant on 5 and duplicate it on 6 I don't have the tools to win in general. (my deck is light on spot removal until turn 10)
Basically it is just an auto-loss I have to accept in most cases. It happens. There is so much aggro the deck is probably kept in check enough though.

kill their giant as soon as it gets played and then hope he does not have the other one and siimply swarn the board

I hate this shit. It's the usual polarising meta. Control beats aggro, aggro beats decks like this and this beats control or anything slow.
Scissors, paper, rock is the blizzard model.

Control shaman loses this matchup most of the time. You simply can't remove all the crap he play without a lot of luck.
This isn't a polarizing deck at all. (in comparison to other meta decks)
No skill is your model. Conjurer mage is one of the most fair decks in this meta.
Mctech.. Hope for the best
you concede because twinspelll and random spell generation is bullshit

Don't play warrior and play aggro decks or get ready to have your ass slapped.

It's not the Blizzard model; it's just how collectable card games work -- how they worked long before Hearthstone ever existed.
If you don't like the way it works, you're playing the wrong game. Honestly, why DO you even play? You seem to hate everything about hearthstone.
"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
If you can't deal with a turn four 8/8 or turn five 32/32, you're just being greedy.
That's how the game now works, deal with it.
