Have you ever had someone add you after this lose and have them just not say anything? Have you ever done this with your opponents? I'm curious and a little confused why some players do this (I've had two of them in the last half a day).
Usually it's custom to give some sort of positive comment about the game or throw out insults, but silence just leaves their name on my list taunting me with nothingness :P
I used to add people after good games, but usually they don't respond to me adding them at all and when i log back in i see they've accepted the friend invite and i usually just delete them again, because i don't remember them the next day.
So i just don't add people anymore

Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!
I add every player with which i played last match and delete all who is 4 rank below me.
Example ir i am on rank 15, but you on 19 - i will delete immediately iwhen i see you online.
But if you are on rank 18 and rise one rank - delete u
Why? Because i need friends who are higher rank. Then i watch them and learn how to play with diffetent deck. Plus they how to play better with that deck. And sometimes į got 80 quest from them. But sometimes from few peoples.
I've done it once. I added somebody to talk about their deck and learn about what else was in there I never saw played (it was a really unique giants shaman). Moments after I submitted friend request my wife needed help with something so I went afk.
Could be asshole. Could be honest misunderstanding. The world may never know.

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
If your playing ranked, some people do it in case they see you again. This will help them mulligan against you. Just click the red x in the friends list after leaving the game and it wont help them.
I'm often doing it while playing on mobile because mobile UI is terrible and when I'm adding somebody to talk about recent game and my request is not accepted simultaneously I usually won't notice that, and when I finally notice it in a hour or so, I think "well whatever he probably does not remember our game".
It's so when you have an 80g quest you might throw it their way if they're the only ones online on your Friends list or something.
Might not work with you, might not work with a lot of people, but when you add 200 randoms or whatever the limit is then you will find yourself with a few surprise 80g quests thrown your way.
That is truth. I have over 160 friends and I get random 80g pretty often.
Whenever I have a fun game against someone or if they played a unique deck, I add them whether I win or lose. The times when I don't say anything to them is when they take a day to accept my request, which happens a lot.
Maybe you took too long to accept their friend request and they forgot about the match you played and the salt that they meant to dump on you.
This is sometimes what I do - I wait half a day before accepting a friend request from losing opponents. Usually even the saltiest opponents would have forgotten about the match that triggered them by then.
This is a little off-topic but once someone on my friendslist challenged me for the 80gold quest. We had a pretty awesome and evenly matched game and I was playing recruit warrior. Then, once I was starting to get close to winning, he just ragequit. Like, it's okay if you get salty but ragequitting in a friendly match is something I don't understand at all, especially if your opponent is playing a deck which is tier 2 at best. Once he came online later I asked why he left since it might have been a disconnect or something and he just didn't reply. I decided to delete him afterwards. I guess what we can learn from this is that there are some weird people out there. :p
yesterday at rank 1 faced legend player, who immediately conceded. i was so salty after my lose streak, that I wanted to add him just to say thank you. but he didn't accept it =(
A guy did the same to me. Added me, didn't say anything but he started spectating my games. It was so annoying.
Eventually I had to remove him because it actually triggered me.
Well played random dude.
Maybe he just had a w&l quest and you've kept losing?
I can't remember the exact number of games he watched. However, I both won and lost games while he watched me. Regardless I think it is strange to add people, watch their games and not say a thing.

If I lose, (and I'm feeling salty), I like to add people and then not speak to them - it makes my day to see them start spouting things like: "Well?" "You salty, kid?... Hello...?" "Why you add me, f****?" "Hello??? What u want? Hello?"
*continuing rage comments...*
Making some kid rage out of pure silence is the better than any salty foul-mouthed insult I could come up with! XD
Most of the time for me, they add me to curse me out or tell me I'm a noob, meanwhile I'm rank 5 and they are rank 20 when we play casual. In ranked majority of the time we say sick game, do u run XYZ in that deck and we remain friends lol

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

Because you played a deck that counters theirs, so they added you to their friend list so they can more easily avoid playing against you again.
