Hi everyone. I just met the usual gentleman who added me after a game and proceeded to wish cancer to me and my whole family. I quickly made a screenshot and went to the friends tab on Battle.net to report him, I've done that a couple times in the past, but when I right-click on his name I no longer see the option to report. Has something changed after the last patch that I am unaware of? Is there a different way to report people? I could do it right now, the dude is not a hit-and-run, he's still in the chat speaking something in russian.
Thanks for the help, let's fight BM together

Life is OP.
Please Blizzard nerf Life.
Life banned from standard format confirmed. Indirect Death buff.
Nope. By accepting friends request I've met many good players and fine people, that's one of the best thing of this game.
Cool. Then move on with your life after unfriending him. Who cares that some dumb moron proceeded to insult you after losing because he/she is salty. Let's fight BM together? It is not exactly illegal even though it is unpleasant. Is this the level of threads we should start expecting from people in Hearthpwn now? Please just stop. If anything this is a Battle.net problem so contact Blizzard Customer Support if you feel so strongly about it and want to fight the good fight.
Yes, it has been a while since they removed that option, actually.
I don't get blizzard on the social aspect of hearthstone. Everyone knows it's shit, no one does a thing about it. Just remove the add last played as friend option. And probably get rid of emotes or at least give us the fucking auto-squelch already. I don't add anyone anymore because I just don't want to read the most obnoxious things a human being is capable of concatenating out of saltyness.
I also meet a lot of bm. Ie smorc deck kill you until 4 hp. Have direct damage spell and charges minion. Bm spam emote every turn for 90s. Then kill you only when they also left 10hp just to bm you. I also saw many times in pro live stream. They also keep get bm by this way. 4 burn in hand lethal. Refuse to play. Bm for 4 turn then only play when near loses.

I hope Blizzard never listens to people like you. The social aspect of Hearthstone is alright and, for example, I wish there was an option to chat with your opponent during the match.
Is it really that hard to just ignore the idiots, bro?
Reporting someone can prevent their harmful behavior from recurring on someone else in the future. Thus, there are merits to reporting rather than just unfriending them and moving on.
I don't understand why everyone is so insistent that the OP should "toughen up." Are you suggesting he's wrong to get upset because the player only bullied him a little? His reaction is completely valid.

A chat system would be nice. Unfortunately people like the OP make that impossible.
People are so sensitive and thin skinned. They have a bad case of pussitis.

Yeah, that is true. Sadly Blizzard would never implement that, not even as an option, just because of people like OP, and they are many. :(
no offense lol, but if he's adding you to insult you, there's probably also a reason behind that. Have you by any hazard trolled him or BM him during the game just before winning the game?
If he added him to insult him, then yes, something almost certainly is behind that. It could have been something that happened in the game, or it could have carried over from previous games, or it could be entirely unrelated to the game. We should not harbor any judgment for whoever this person is on the other side, but regardless, there is no reason to conduct yourself as they did. The behavior in question offers nothing but a toxic experience for other players, and it should be corrected whenever it's encountered.
Ironically, if the player in question DID only do this because of "BM" or emote spam or whatever, then that would make HIM the thin-skinned one if anything, since there is no rational way to interpret emotes as ill-willed. Of course, no one is going to jump in and say his opponent was wrong to get upset because most people sympathize with that perspective, and so any critique of his habits would also be a critique of theirs. Funny how feelings don't matter until they're yours.
One strategy I have found for dealing with this is to wait an hour to accept new friend requests if I think there is a risk of my opponent sending harassing messages. After a few more games, he will probably have forgotten what he was mad at me about. I have not been cussed out by anyone since I started doing this, though several of them have unfriended me at a later date.

Ever wonder if they are BMing for a reason? People always love being roped from turn 1, emoting after you clear board etc. maybe hey have gone to far but there is usually fault on both sides

Well the statement was clear here, the guy has just added him after the game. Whatever the reason people should just ignore it, giving attention to these guys motives them even more in the future. just block it, dont accept the friend request or add it like 1 hour later as @mirdan21 has said. That's a pity to disable the chat function because of that.
I agree with what Miradan21 said. It's a great policy to have, and unfriending someone who's harassing you is a valid, but -temporary- solution to the problem. Unfortunately, if the user is not reported they will simply repeat the behavior at a later date, and the temporary fix will have to be implemented again and again, all the while more and more people are getting harassed.
That aside though, the thing I take issue with is not what happened to the OP in game, but what's happening to him here. He presented himself very well, and yet here he is being called "thin-skinned," all because he wanted to resolve an issue which every single person here agreed needed to be fixed.

Not really. I've gotten those kinds of turkeys friend me and I certainly don't antagonize anyone during games. Typically these people are just immature and insecure. The speed at which they unleash their little tantrums makes me suspect they have them worked out ahead of time and just paste them in. Perhaps in their imaginations, they think it is a witty strike that no doubt wounded the receiving party.
There aren't many of these clowns but they do get around.
As another poster does, I tend to wait to accept friend invites unless I got a really good vibe on the previous game. After a really fun match, you can expect the other person is probably just wanting to say GG or the like. If you blow someone out and they friend, it's going to be salty seas. I just let em chill out and accept next time I log in.
As to reporting, it just doesn't do much. I'm still for having the option though. If nothing else it makes the person reporting feel a little better so that's something. They set things up so they don't have to police people and if you don't want interaction you don't have to have it.
The problem with a reporting system that has real teeth is people can then abuse it and report folks who did nothing more than whoop their ass at Hearthstone. And then you get into report wars and the like. Big mess, doesn't solve much. It only really works in small communities where what you say is recorded and easy to reference by a mod or the like.

I don't get this.. you added someone, he turned out to be an asshole, all you need to do is block him and that's it. Why cry about nothing?

What would reporting even do? Delete their account? Launch an inquiry? What?
I'm normally super against people brushing off issues by telling the complainer to "toughen up", but really, what's the alternative?
