The only posts I've seen on it have been theorycrafting ones from earlier this week. How powerful is Jade Druid (especially Jade Idol), and should I start running hard counters? If it's broken and counters are needed, what has worked best?
it's broken as hell against control or slowy decks and if the druid is any good he'll use raven idol to gain warrior levels of armor by discovering feral rage against Renolock, however, and it's a big however, you can basically smorc him down, i've had luck smorcing Jade druid with Murloc goon Paladin today or just burning their faces with Malyrogue.
Almost autowin vs slow decks. I've been trying to play some Kazakus decks and whenver I face jade druid, I kind of know I will lose. Late game is simply impossible. Only way to win is either heavy aggro or sick combo.
Ive found jade decks generally beat the current heavy control decks almost all of the time. The only chance I've had with control warrior and Nzoth Shaman for example is because the other player was making stupid mistakes.
The fact is jade decks have a seriously broken supply of resources. Even jade rogue is almost impossible to grind out because they can refill with Nzoth. Today I cleared a jade rogues Nzoth board 3 time and after it all he still had an 8/8 and a 9/9 left over.
I honestly think at this point it's better while playing control to just autoconcede as soon as you see the first jade card rather than trying to beat them. The current board clears available just aren't strong enough to grind them out, and unless you get really lucky and burst them down then if the game goes long you don't stand a chance.
I've done pretty well against it, aside from my last game when the druid raven idol for minion (which I feel is rarely the right move) twice and got Justicar Trueheart and then Aya Blackpaw. Game was rigged at that point.
It's pretty slow. Demolishes control, but speedy decks will often get so far ahead that the late beef doesn't matter. Deck is fun to play, though--some really involved Auctioneer and Fandral turns.
Include one jade idol as a tech in miracle or malydruid, and you're immune versus control decks, grindy decks and fatigue decks + you can cycle as much as you want and never worry.
Well, I changed my Reno'lock to include some burst damage options.
Leeroy Jenkins, Power Overwhelming, Ragnaros...
Faceless Manipulator to copy either Ragnaros or Lerroy+PO.
Kazakus using the spell that does 8 damage.
If you have options like these in your control deck, you can focus on hurting their face really fast in case they show signs of being a jade deck. Don't rely on the control typical strategy of simply removing threats because you can't win with that.
I beat one with an early jaraxxas. I mean, you just have to keep pressure up as much as possible and things should go your way. Its a fun anti control deck, but it is far from game breaking in my honest opinion.
I've played a bit of it. As folks say, it has a very powerful end game as you can just keep getting enormous creatures every turn and can pad out your deck infinitely. So it would almost never lose a fatigue match up. But it's not really a fatigue deck (at least not this iteration).
You only need one card to have the infinite end game, but that does not a Jade deck Make. The themed version is slow to start but can get pretty forceful in late game against a deck geared for spot removal. It's got a rather weak mid game so it gets run over by most aggressive midrange or aggro decks unless you get the right draws at the right time, aka lots of early removal and healing/armor.
It's quite a bit of fun when it gets rolling and it's not a brain-dead deck, you do need to learn how to play it to get the most from it.
Ultimately I suspect you won't see it a lot after the first week or so because it is not ranked quality, but having Jade Idol in other archetypes for Durid may become a meta choice for tournaments or Legend Play to counter other control decks.

It's extra weak to agro and can be beaten by midrange (if you fill the board with heavy stuff, they lack removal) or control but only if you have heavy burst
The existence of Jade GOlems makes all Controll Decks redundant, you just cannot beat them with controll.... i think this is totall garbage and should definetly be changed!!!
Agreed. There is very little tempo tools for control decks. T5+ minions are all horribly slow.
Jade idol is one big "fu" to cards like shield slam, execute, entomb, brawl, polymorph, hex, all types of healing, any type of slow mob, grinder cards (scarab, conjurer, cabal tome)... and so forth.
To put it very simply: When removal is finite, it is goes without saying that infinite resource is bad design.
And no, I dont' care "how bad the deck is versus aggro". It doesn't matter and the people who don't understand why it doesn't matter need to sit down and think for more than 10 seconds before they plaster their opinions on the wall.

Good aggro or combo decks will shoot it through the heart before it can even gets its hands to its pistols.
Face hunter.
Zoo.
Dragon Warrior.
Pirate Warrior.
Miracle Rogue
Tempo Mage.
Malygos Druid.
Basically the only thing it beats is Control Warrior and it might be ok - say 45%-50% - against Midrange shaman.

So, all in all pretty good.
Decks completely based on it any good? Naw.

It's an extremely slow deck how can break ladder?
I've had really good success with Jade rogue and Dragon Priest against it
