Shaman is only really powerful when he gets a good start and manages to curve out nicely.
It's mostly Totem Golem's and Dr. 4s fault.
Also, I think most people just disregard these minions and just don't put potential answers in their decks.
An example: In my Evo-shaman I got 2 stormcracks which deal nicely with totem golems and help taking down those Flamewreatheds.
Hunters can run deadly shot and hunter's mark, Priests get PowerWord D, Zoolocks get PO, Handlocks still have mountain giants, Druid technically have naturalize and mulch, Warriors always have execute, Paladins have keeper and aldo, Mages got polymorph, Shamans have Hex and their own Flamewreatheds, and Rogues can at least sap it.
I've been playing quite some aggro shaman now (don't blame me, I need the end of season rewards...those gold cards are worth a lot of dust) and I noticed that I mostly lost to decks that just had the right answers (good early minions and a bunch of taunts).
Back in the day people used to run Black Knght just to get rid of Ancient of Lore more easily, so why is it a problem to just include coucnters to a certain very popular class?
Hey guys, I discovered this one crazy trick that ANY class can use to kill a Flamewreathed Faceless, Shaman's hate it!
It's an old card from the classic set that never saw much use called Big Game Hunter. At 5 mana it comes out the very turn after your opponent plays a Flamewreathed Faceless. I think it's very unique ability is perfect for countering those 7 attack minions, and on top of that you get a 4/2 minion on the board so it's great value for the mana.
Shaman is good but not OP imo. I have problems playing it against Fatigue Paladin and Fatigue Warrior. They just heal infinitely and keep wiping your board.
its not broken man xD no chance vs priest as shaman
I have the highest winrate against priest.
Indeed
I think mid shaman struggle with contrl-N'zoth paladin/fatigue warrior and maybe zoo with bad starting hand, any c'thun decks have no chance vs mid-shaman imo
5. I run a variant that naturally hard counters priest. I didn't even do it intentionally. The fireguard destroyer baits out the first death and lets my other monstrosities run wild. it also curves naturally with flamewreathe.
Even in one of the worst case scenarioes, I've won. Turn 2 shadow word pain my totem golem. Turn 3 I skip. Turn 4 fireguard- gets deathed. Turn 5 flamewreath faceless- gets deathed again. Turn 6- 2nd flamewearth faceless=gg. He played the entire game through without surrendering. He simply had no answers for the rest of my minions.

I don't play shaman much, but when I do I usually don't give a shit if the opponent kills Flamewreathed, usually they've wasted their turn on subpar tempo already and are likely well on their way to dying.
But good luck to you if you think BGH is a nice anti-shaman tech. The only tech against aggro shaman is a fat low curve (on either removal or minions) coupled with either solid healing potential or sick mid-game threats.
I mean, you're only going to run one... and you'll need it by turn 5, and even if you mulligan for it - it's not like I'm going to play faceless on every turn 4. So we're talking perhaps 10% of the games total where it does what you describe, and it'll only represent substantial tempoloss in half of those.
It didn't take long for the whine threads to start. Shaman was powerful before standard started in terms of aggro. Now ToG made mid game shaman viable. Pack your silences and board removals and you'll be fine. If you're working on a turn 15 C'thun... you'll be dead by then.
There will be always pro and con new expension/adventures - opinions resulting in Team 5 being the supreme commander doing what they want. It resembles devide and rule while at the same time they really don't care what your opinion is since they are and will be the master of the Heartstone universe.
Remember 1: if you think the game is "fine" now there will someday be an expension that is not so fine with your type of playstyle. Will you complain then or except what the dev gods decide to throw at you?
Remember 2: People who "complain" may have a point so don't discard their opinion as "whining" too quickly. A statement is easely made so step back, think for a while before you slaughter someone else.
Fact is that the general expectation was that the meta would slow down. That is really not the case with zoolock and shamans as the new eboladin ans spammadin. Cards like Flamewreathed Faceless and Darkshire Councilman really don't help. People who like to play a control decks continues having a hard time now as they have had since the day of facehunter. Mindless gaming, spamming minions/burn spells/burst damage still rules. Wised up and more intelligent control gamestyles suffers. That won't change since aggro - if you are not dead at turn 6 - is what makes the most money for and is the prime directive of what makes Team 5 tick.
Ps: If you do a little survey you will notice that the amount of aggro decks reaching legend exceeds the amount of control decks reaching legend. I rest my case.
Usually your long meandering pointless posts have better English. Did you forget to proofread this one?
I don't know what t2 is, but I played the deck in standard.
sry, bad habbit from MTG, T2 - standart. at least it was long time ago
as for standart, i didnt try controll warrior, but patron stuggle vs shaman a little bit

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Haven't had any problem with aggro shaman using midrange mage, Made it to rank 2 last season and currently at rank 13.
Really? And SWD doesnt feel op to you? Innervate doent feel op to you? What about the war/rogue removes?
Half of the players play shaman right now similar to previous secret paladin blizzard never give up promoting a cancer meta.

nothing is "broken" right now lol.. there are strong and weak decks and strong and weak matchups with said decks.... liek c'mon people

I don't like it but I accept it. Shaman was in the worst 4 for constructed and arena for a long time.
I'd say I hope that priest got a turn but then everyone would rage quit, hehehehe.
Not sure if hyped yet.
