TLDR: Original Version is first picture, an updated rogue deck run by team is the second picture.
Here is the second Legendary Deck Team Dont Kick My Robot has used. This time [DKMR] Alchemixt use this deck primarily to get there.
DONT KICK MY ROBOT:
Personally, Spiteful Smith is one of my favorite cards from Season 1! I hope you guys enjoy this deck, my team has been having some great success with it. Even with a budget version the core of this deck is great.
Also, for a while I fell out of love with Sap. But I have to admit the utility of this card is tremendous and can win you some games with the tempo/control it gives.
Words from Alchemixt
If you were to make any changes to the deck, what would you change?
I like it how it is for the most part. Spiteful Smith, Ragnaros the Firelord, Sap, Blade Flurry, Leeroy Jenkins, and Cold Blood are all on my “watch list” if you will. They’re sort of better or worse depending on the meta and give the deck a different feel if you run them. Cold Blood, Blade Flurry, and Sap can be especially situational and sometimes don’t do want you want them to do. Sometimes Blade Flurry is only doing 1 damage and can’t kill anything. A card like Leeroy is only good where you’re killing them. Smith can be somewhat clunky, especially if you can’t enable the Enrage.
Any cards you thought of adding?
Early on, I thought about playing one Shiv over the Ragnaros the Firelord. It works well with Spell Damage and replaces self. It can be a strong early play and makes the deck more consistent. Same for Fan of Knives. I also considered Assassin's Blade, but it’s too slow and clunky too often. You could also play Betrayal.
We should probably talk about Defias Ringleader too. A lot of people either think Ringleader is an auto-include or unplayable. Some think he’s only good with The Coin and Agent is better, but that’s not necessarily true. You can Coin Ringleader turn 1 and have two minions to trade with your opponent’s Murlocs. While SI:7 Agent is also good, he’s just as good on turn 4 or later while Ringleader gives you a bigger edge earlier. I was initially going to play Sap or Blade Flurry and a Defias Ringleader, but I liked both the spells and never switched. Maybe you could cut a Loot Hoarder for a Ringleader, but then I feel you don’t have enough card draw. Novice Engineer used to be good, but now it just dies to hero powers.
Updated Deck: Still in testing, plays quite different from Deck Above. Great conversation going on through this thread though, great feedback and thoughts about Rogue from the community
this is EASILY the best rogue tempodeck ive seen in weeks. EASILY!!! i watched the stream. this guy plays it extremely well and has actually good reasons for playing any card in here and not just "because" or "just in case" or "it helped me once".
Big kudos!
little hint though. i watched the stream and it seemed that pretty much all the time he played sap, assasinate would have been a way better play. so i would consider that. it is a 1for1 trade with pretty much every creature in the game where sap is alway a card disadvantage. and the time when you wanna play sap for its full effectiveness you most likely have the mana to spare for assasinate anyway. so i would consider that.
also i think the 4mana drops are extremely bad represented. i would definetly add a yeti or dwarf here.

I likeAssassinate but it's too expensive; this deck really shines around turn 5 and 6.
as said. in the games i watched assasinate would have been equally good or sometimes even better.
Sap and Assassinate serve completely different purposes. Sap is used to cheaply remove a taunt or big minion so you can attack the hero while Assassinate is straight hard removal... I stand by what I've said, if you must run either, I would run a Sap in this deck over an assassinate.
You play it to take away tempo or to end the game. I'd hate to have fatal turn 5 but have to use an assassinate and potentially let the opponent throw in another taunt or heal when I can end it with a combo'd Eviscerate (just an example). Generally speaking, if a card has the same or similar effect, the cheaper card is the one to go with. So again, I stand by what I said about Sap being a more effective card in this deck over an Assassinate.
sap is only good when you can dish out explosive damage the turn you play it. and this deck is not capable of doing so.
Naturally, with Cold Blood, Eviscerates and charge minions in the deck, it is absolutely unable to deal explosive damage.
Maybe I am missing something here but why do you feel this is a slow deck? Just because there's a Ragnaros the Firelord doesn't mean it's a slow deck.
fatal turn 5? yeah lol. where do you play? rank 24? sorry, but this is so made up. ^^
you know i explained pretty good why i think assassinate has the slight edge in this deck. i dunno why i should repeat my self.
you also dont answer my questions or adress my points in any way so it is kinda pointless to discuss with you to be honest.
i can answer your questions though. yes, eviscerate is like MAINLY used as removal in general. and you also have only 1 cold blood and no shadow step. and this is also not the point of the deck though. so yes, this is a MIDRANGE deck. it normally wins after the midgame when the lte game just starts. fatal turn 5? yeah, I wet myself.
1) I play in casual bro, do you even lift?
2) You didn't ask any questions...
3) I didn't ask any questions... especially about eviscerate
4) Turn 5 may have been a stretch ... maybe turn 7.
What I will say guys is Sap is more for mid game tempo... and gives you more options late games if you want to play some combos.
However Assasinate is decent hard removal for us. I would suggest running assasinate if you do not have Black Knight :). Sap and Assasinate, while removing a minion... definitely play different roles!
question: when do you even play the sap for its full effectiveness? early game? mid game?
3. you did.
Maybe I am missing something here but why do you feel this is a slow deck?
and i told you that indeed this deck isnt very explosive. it cannot dish out like 20 dmg in one turn out of nowhere. but you meant eviscerate is a finisher, i told you thats not true.
4. that seems a little closer.
You asked a rhetorical question that you went on to answer... and because a deck lacks 'explosive' damage does not mean that it's not an aggressive deck. It also does not mean that it's 'slow' - look at murlock decks for example - generally, til turn 4-5 they are doing 2-3 damage per minion hit...
Have you guys been testing this deck out a bit? Great success we hope!
No not this deck particularly but a very similar one - I am seeing a 76.97% win rate overall with most of the losses coming from Huntards. Any words of wisdom to deal with them?
Personally if you are using Leeroy in the same turn as SAP it allows you to close out the game earlier. I would not say Assassinate is better as SAP is more versatile for Leeroy and allows him to be played earlier.
Its actually really great for this META. I suggest checking out my Team's Site to read the META REPORT#4. That is the most up to date! Lets you know what to expect from different classes.
I have every card except black knight, which I replaced with another Sap and it seems to be working quite well.
The Black Knight is better than a Sap simply because it's always (if a taunt is on the field) a 2:1 trade.Sap is an okay replacement for now... do you have an Argent Commander? Maybe run that with another Cold Blood?
I would play the argent or black knight. I would not play cold blood because it requires you to have a minion on the board. I would rather get the immediate effect.
The point of Cold Blood, IDEALLY is to use it on a charge minion to end the game. That being said, I've found a ton of value putting it on a 2/1 Leper Gnome versus a Druid or Rogue or a 1/1 Argent Squire - just to get threats out. As you said, you need to have a minion on board, but I think the card is versatile and valuable enough to warrant a slot in any Rogue deck in the current meta.

Argent Squire and Cold Blood is probably one of our better options for early aggro. That divine shield is alot to deal with. I definitely agree with you there. I know alot of asian players find 2 cold blood to be a staple in rogue decks btw! Just a fun fact there.

Hey Winter,
Thanks for checking out the stream! I appreciate your feedback on the sap/assasinate situation. Personally I like using Sap in situations where it will waste my opponents turn completely, like a Druid of the Claw situation.... or when I can only afford 2 mana to help set up the combo.
I will start paying closer attention to the Sap/Assasinate situation and give some feed back to our Deck Testers/ Streamers. Thank You :).
Curious how you guys feel about putting assasins blade in this deck? Dare I say even taking out rag? Blade seems to be a little more flexible with the use of Flurry.

Edwin VanCleef is good too, but there’s a lot of silence going around. Control Warlock, Hunter, and Ancient Watcher decks all run Ironbeak Owls. Druid plays Keeper of the Grove. Van Cleef isn’t worth the risk.

Why not run a Tinkmaster Overspark instead of Sap? I would personally run a 2nd Cold Blood instead of Ragnaros the Firelord as well, if for no other reason than simply for the reach potential with that card.

Sonic boom! | Iron Juggernaut | Rogue
he has a tinkmaster in the list already

Apparently Assassinate is better, even though unless you've already lost the game, you're only running Leeroy Jenkins as a finisher.
