Anubis DR is a high roll deck. The margin for error is steep AF. If you draw bad or draw late, you're done.
Necrium Apothecary makes the deck playable. There is no substitute for it.
The Mechanical Whelp variant isn't as high roll, and depending on the package you put it with it has more early game survivability. Here is a whelp DR deck I put together with the thief package for early game survival, that I ranked from 8 to 4 with. Apothecary, though, is a must.
I have Apothecary in the deck. I meant that I never draw him.
Well you need to draw that card lol that's all it is just hard mulligan for it every game and you actually have like a 55% chance to draw it by turn 4 going first and 65% so you're just being unlucky.
I play DR Rogue (Anubis), no Apothecary. I'm dead turn 6, but have a bunch of 1/1s in my hand. Me rating the deck bad.
Me playing against DR Rogue. I get him to 5 health, then I get crushed by 10/10s.

The deck is approximately 5000% worse without Apothecary. Craft Apothecary.

Well, it's a highroll deck and if you don't draw the high roll it's gg.
I've teched my combo Priest with silence because of this deck.
