Do I count these occurances as unlucky or is there a way to use them well when you draw them early as hell (seems like the majority of my games.) I feel like I just have two dead cards all game every game. Is anyone taking leeroy out? Or is he fine as long as you don't have him in the opener like I always do?
Allow me to play the world's smallest violin for you. Obviously it is bad luck, what more can be said? Every deck will draw poorly sometimes. There is no trick. If you are playing pirate warrior and have a dead hand on turn 1, you should probably just concede because that is how stupid the deck is. Shaman and rogue shouldn't have such a bad time utilizing them later with flametongue or cold blood conceal, etc.
That's how card games are. I suspect the biggest difference in winrates in HS isn't from how well people exploit an advantage, but how well they play from a disadvantage.
I'm playing miracle rogue. It was an innocent question and I'm not bitching. I'm asking how I should consider it when these things happen. I don't really feel like I should be attacked for this though.

Well how the fuck do you want to be answered?
Yea you are the only unlucky person in the universe this never happens to anyone ever it's just you. Ben Brode selected you as the chosen one to always draw patches and leeroy

I guess people complain so much on here that asking a questions is automatically perceived as complaining. I was not complaining at all. I was asking if I should consider it to be unlucky or not. I don't know what the odds are that these things happen, I rarely play this game. I am not venting my frustrations.

I believe I've only drawn Patches twice in around 80 games of Miracle, I might be just lucky.
The odds of him showing up in your opening hand is 13%, which increases by roughly 3 percent for every card you mulligan, so you can somewhat decrease your odds by keeping cards.
If you mulligan him away, you have a 0% chance to get him back from the mulligan itself, but might still draw him turn 1 with low chances.

Play a real deck.

The best thing would be to visit the salt thread and vent out your frustrations there, or switch to a deck that doesn't run Leeroy or Patches.
i guess now you truly are in "charge" of the bussiness (/-.-)/

The holiday love is seething from this thread, what a "community."
Just use patches as a combo trigger if you draw him.

This is the exact reason why Patches is a stupidly bad designed card.
You get Patches in your opening hand: You win 20% of your games
You get small-time buccaneer and no Patches in your opening hand: You win 80% of your games.
'Well whooptiefuckingdoo, let's play another game and flip a coin to let my opening hand decide if i win or lose the game'
blizzard always let you have legendary in open hand or draw it soon. Because they wan you feel happy and have chance to play it.
u can see wild 90% of time. Turn 7 always dr boom. Even they have only 1 legendary in deck. Why? Because stupid hidden mechanic.
or I play old school legendary. I always have grom and rag turn 8. Sometime I have 2 in starting hand make me pissed off vs aggro deck.
It's a conspiracy.
