A win condition against priest should be run them out of 'stuff' but right now with Galakrond and other steal/Mind Control effects it becomes a game of you vs. yourself with some of the best control cards sprinkled in to take any advantage away you may have had. Even if you play Archivist Elysiana there's a chance they can steal it with Thoughtsteal or something and ruin a large portion of your win condition.
Additionally, they have extreme importance in killing their minions due to the amount of buffs and win-more cards they have when ahead at all, just like Divine SpiritInner Fire days, but less power spiky. Either give other classes more tools on the same power level or tone Priest down a little bit.
If other classes deserve to get tools to outvalue Priest then Priest deserves to get tools to SMorc down the opponent in 5 turns.
I love how we have literally gone from "priest is unfun to play agaisnt" to "screw it, lets just delete priest because i hate playing against a class that other people enjoy because I'm a miserable pos that can't just concede and move on".

Isn't the heathstone community just great!
Yes I'm a pos for discussing priests infinite removal and card generation.

You want to give other classes the tools to go late game with a priest when that is literally all that priest has, The worst class if you want to play the aggro game, A subpar paladin if you want to play the buff midrange game, As a priest main i actually hate the way priest is right now where your win condition is to literally steal your opponents cards or out value them purely with Galakrond, The class seems to have one indetity right now and that is to just frustrate every opponent and nothing else, It is'nt a aggro class, It is'nt a midrange class, Hell its not even a late game class it is literally a steal class with a RNG Galakrond thrown in to make sure you win the value game.
Even the dual class cards printed show that perfectly, Warlock/Priest......No its Warlock cards that priests can play it just feels like cards stolen from a warlock they were not designed for both classes they were designed for Warlocks, Paladin/Priest again no not at all they are Paladin cards that priest just happens to have access to but cards that are clearly designed to fit into paladin decks and not priests, Even when not stealing cards it feels like just using cards stolen from warlocks and paladins.
As a priest player when i'm making a deck i always find myself wondering "What is my win condition" its a easy question for all other classes/decks but when it comes to priest each and every time the answer remains the same........Survive, That is all priest can do is survive to win its not fun to play and its not fun to play against but that is where priest is right now but as a priest main i still play it because thats my class.
That being said priest Galakronds infinite value game is a mistake you would have thought Blizzard would have learned their lesson from Rexxar and Dr Boom but they went and did the exact same thing again, Hopefully its the last time we Blizzard make that same stupid mistake but i would'nt bet on it.

If priest is so broken how does its best deck only have a 51% win rate in HS replay? Where are you getting all the priest matchups? it literally only counters 1 tier 2 deck (big warrior) , and has a slightly favored matchup against guardian druid. It gets trashed by pretty much every other deck out there except combo decks (which aren't doing very well at all anyways)
As a priest player when i'm making a deck i always find myself wondering "What is my win condition" its a easy question for all other classes/decks but when it comes to priest each and every time the answer remains the same........Survive,
I have only ever played priest, from the day I downloaded the game to today. I did so because my main is an priest in WOW. And I couldn't agree with noobito123 more.
Priest has no identity, they leech off every other class for sub-par performance and the only thing that allows them to continue forward is to control the board.
As for fun/unfun to play against - I enjoy it. I mean someone who is willing to go through the trouble to put together a sub-par deck and actually succeed at winning, full props. I will take the time to see how it's done.
I mean, I play wild almost exclusively, break out for tavern brawl or standard depending on the quest(s) I have in my log. I play OTK Velen, been doing so since year of the mammoth. My deck is listed here and you can see how the deck has been altered, which is very little. But for me it's fun to get the combo off.
For the opponent I can only imagine how it must suck when I drop the 5th board wipe then rez a full board and pop them for 40+ damage in one shot.
If you don't like it, you have 3 choices - don't play HS, concede, or play it out.
priest legit used to be my favorite class before year of the pheonix. They butchered the class so badly. You used to have like 4 different ways to play priest: uber control, combo, and "play a beefy minion early on and buff it with spells and use your hero power to keep it alive all game/divine spirit/inner fire" and "big priest" which sucked and should never exist in hearthstone ever again.
Class worked great and rewarded creativity. Instead they felt the need to "redesign" the class by simply removing the other 2 ways you can play the class and leaving control as your only option. Then they buffed cards like Shadow Word Death for absolutely no reason to further incentivise you to play that 1 specific style. Such a shame man. I loved the quest deck in uldum too. One of my all time favorite decks as well as odd priest in the year of the raven.
Priest has been my class from the beginning. I love to play control or reactive decks in any card game. I make legend depending on if I put in time, I have all the cards on expansion launch and I try to follow the meta. I usually net deck the most popular decks and play a few games with them or climb the ladder, then when I stop climbing or reach a floor and want to have fun, I homebrew counter meta decks. The most fun o have had with this game is with priest decks that run counter meta, or eventually become meta (I homebrewed a razakus priest on MSoG launch that everyone said wouldn’t be good...).
I agree that priest is in a weird spot. I liked Rez priest a lot in its first iteration, when Obsidian Statue (which happens to be my favorite card) and diamond spell stone were still in standard. I liked being able to cheat out a nine cost board changer with a five cost spell. I liked having answers to the opponents threats until it was time for the spell stone. Then they introduced Catrina and mass resurrection because all the cheat cards left and power needed to be tuned up and we have the current Rez priest that is more annoying than effective.
Anyway, I agree that priest is in a weird spot. On the topic of deleting and it being unfun to play against, I have fun playing it and I don’t care if you don’t like playing against me. I tolerate playing against SMORC hunter and I have enjoyed playing maybe one hunter deck ever.
i made a priest deck, it is entitled FUCK YOU. I play it when I am salty. I rope every turn and drag the opponent into a 40 minute card stealing RNG fest that makes them never want to play hearthstone again. The only reason to play this class is if you hate everyone who plays hearthstone including yourself.

lmao. this will help me get through the agonizing pain of playing against priest next time we meet,
Hey, I'm fine with that if we can delete the other problem classes. Let's face it, druid and rogue often do things I don't think the game can handle. I'd probably also suggest demon hunter gets the boot too.
Why delete ? we can just rotate the "unfun" cards next expansion and replace them with "fun" ones.
Blizzard deleting a class will never go down well with the community.
If other classes deserve to get tools to outvalue Priest then Priest deserves to get tools to SMorc down the opponent in 5 turns.

Don't hate the player, hate the game! ;)
Nobody was complaining about Priest galakrond before rotation, it was terrible. Now it's actually good and its perfectly fine.
I'm pretty sure everyone knows that. Like, yeah, absolutely everyone, OP included.

Just kidding, not going to happen. I'm very glad this turned out to be just a normal discussion. :)

Cute, ineffective, but cute.
