I recently made a big priest, i know that its a stupid deck but i want some winnings with my priest... anyone knows if big priest had a special nerf who its not explicit?? like a soft nerf or a passive nerf??
the thing is that i keep tracking notes from my games and in the 40 first games i only drew Barnes before turn 4 only 6 times (with hard mulligan), and in most of those games (30) my first card played was Shadow Essence and summon the copy of the barnes in the deck 10 times of a pool of 5 more minions, sooo i didnt do the maths and i know that the sample its very small but i want to know if someone are experiencing something similar, although the deck its doing fine, more than 65% winrate
Nice trying of a fake report, everyone who play against Big Priest in Wild know the Barnes have the quests blessing, never fail of showing up in starting hand. :P
Yes, Barnes has been nerfed just for you. You draw him less often before turn 10 and cards more often pull him out instead of your big minions. I guess, you need to switch decks.
You do realize that Big Priest can (and usually has to) win without Barnes, right? It's not as autowin as it would be with an early Barnes, but the deck is still more than capable of BSing its way to victory. Even a Shadow Essence pulling Barnes won't always mean a loss thanks to Eternal Servitude's discover effect.
You could always just take out Barnes and make your deck more consistent. It won't alter your "gameplay" one bit and you will always roll high with Shadow Essence. The only difference is that you won't have those rare games where you win automatically on turn 4.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished

No, you are wrong. Barnes is good all game long as long as he pulls anything at all, not only on turn 4. The deck would barely be viable without him.

You actually pay attention to your game when playing Big Priest?

Hmm, I've seen plenty of priests having to rely on Shadow Visions into Coin+Shadow Essence instead of Barnes. In those matches, Barnes either became a liability because he was diluting the minion pool for Shadow Visions or he was ignored late game because resummoning big minions becomes overall better than getting a 1/1 from your deck.
I assure you: Barnes is only truly necessary if you are up against a deck that can kill you before Shadow Essence comes out. He gives Big Priest winrate spikes just like Keleseth. but there is more to the deck than him.
