Re "MfB has some great synnergies with other Paladin cards like SoJ" - agreed if the tokens proc first before the 1/4 weapon does, otherwise it's anti-synergy by destroying the SoJ...
Agree with you re "Cobalt Guardian is trash" - so far I have no interest in making a Mech-Paly.

Brode confirmed it buffs all of the minions before giving you the weapon. It was a twitter post.
Also this is the perfect turn 3 play if you have a knife juggler in play. So good.

Yeah, saw that on the other thread, great news. After seeing the Cobalt CRAPian first I thought for sure there must be someone behind the scenes at Blizz who had a personal vendetta against Palys for some reason - this card has restored some hope at least.
I hope the epic and legendary are good as well, I've been saving my dust for paly-construction.

The new weapon will be epic, but highly mech themed, so meeh. But we'll get another non-mech minion. Why do I thing that? Because until now, we got 1 mech themend class minion and one normal, ie. those cards were Screwjank Clunker and Shieldmaiden for warriors & Upgraded Repair Bot and Shrinkmeister for Priest. I know it isn't much, but I count on it.
The legendary, Bolvar Fordragon has huge potential, but I don't know, what they plan to do with him. "Only" a beefy minion? Does he resummon himself after being killed as the Lich King? Does he have a freezing effect (which would be AWESOME). It'd be a shame, if they don't use the potential of a man burned by dragonfire, tortured by the Lich King and becoming said King himself. All in All, I hope for a midrange legendary, about 6 mana. Right now, we have many good 5 drops and Pally's 4 drops are mostly insanely good, so 6/7 mana would fit the best. But please no taunt in this The Black Knight heavy meta.
Do you know for a fact that the epic weapon is going to be mech themed? (link?) or just speculating?
So far I haven't seen anything that's gotten me excited to make a mech-paly, but maybe that will change.
Face it: if you want to play Paladin, play Warrior. That's what Blizzard told us over 2 expansions now after they give Warrior Paladin cards and Paladin shit.
I mean: HELL! Paladin. THE buff class. Doesnt get a mech card that can buff other mechs... but warrior does?????
Sad but true.
Somehow Blizzard thinks people who play Palladin only want to play aggro decks, which is really unfortunate.
I made another deck. Weapon-Mech based Paladin thats about mid range and tempo plays. Even thought Cobalt Guardians are considered trash, and probably are. I want to try them out. If they are true trash, replace them with Belchers.
I'm pretty underwhelmed by Bolvar. I assumed I'd be using my dust for the legendary first, but unless I'm missing some obvious awesome combo I think 2x Coghammer and 2x Muster for Battle are much better value/should be crafted first before Bolvar.
So three new cards are potentially on the way for Paladin if the Coghammer gets through.
However we know about Cobalt Guardian and Muster for Battle.
Cobalt Guardian is trash and a Kidnapper for Paladin.
But MfB is a great card for early game, and has some great synnergies with other Paladin cards like SoJ.
How will use these cards?
EDIT:
I made a Mid-Range Paladin Deck:

I hope Pally get some more better cards.

*RING RING*
sharKiLL: "Hello?"
Coghammer: "Someone said you were looking for me?"

What do others think?
Just read that he can be silenced as well, now I'm REALLY not crafting him. I'm am quite disappointed.
Oh well, at least we got Cog and Muster.
I will be crafting all but Muster for Battle.
Wait what? Why would you craft Bolvar and Cobalt but not MfB? MfB looks pretty good in my eyes.
For the mid range deck I have planned. MfB has no place in it.
