thanks for the advice. I do like combo decks, had a lot of fun with grim patron last year.
I don't really know what my favourite style is yet though. My favourite decks so far were probably zoo and evolve shaman, I got into secret hunter with yogg saron as well.. I don't have yogg any more now though.
Before you go and craft cards for Exodia Mage, I have to warn you something. Exodia Mage will most likely stop being viable in April 2018 when the rotation happens. At this time, it is pretty much confirmed that Ice Block will move to Hall of Fame, and without this card, Exodia Mage will not function unless the Metagame is absurdly slow, like people being unable to kill you with full aggression by turn 15, which is extremely unlikely to ever happen.
You should take this into consideration because most of the cards, in case you craft them, might lose their usefulness in April and since you seemed to imply you play only Standard, that would make them possibly bad investments for this 5 month periodo only.
If I was going to craft, I would wait till new cards come out anyway. definitely saving my dust for now.
I got the pre order of the 50-pack, so hoping I get some good cards in that.... not holding my breath though as I don't have the best luck on my main account.
PS: I'd play wild as well, but I don't have the collection for it unfortunately.
exodia mage is a good deck for some players.....but you dusted deathwing, a gold edwin vancleef, antionidas and ysera right away......so you should probably stay away from exodia mage
dude if you dusted all these great cards what in gods name did you put your dust into?!
valid decks at the time... I had just started playing and was more interested in just building some decks that worked in the meta.
I realize it was a silly move now, but at the time, the decks that used these cards were way out of my price range.
I was only really playing warlock, hunter, shaman and warrior at the time as well.... I'm still yet to really play any rogue or mage, also pally and druid I've not messed with yet.
I am tempted to craft edwin again though and make a keleseth rogue.

this was last year when I first started playing before I really knew what I was doing... ha ha, I realize it was a sillymove now, but what you gonna do, shit happens.
Exodia is a very combo-oriented win condition. You either get all of the cards in your hand and win the game, or you don't and you lose. In Yu-Gi-Oh! the combination is something that your opponent can't prevent. Once you get it, you win. Not quite the same in Hearthstone, but close enough. You get all of the pieces in your hand at the same time and you generally win.

Oh. My. God.
I know dude, don't make me feel any worse than I already do :( ha ha.
Haha sorry man. Just keep ramping the tavern brawls and quests and you'll get them back someday. Also, if you're in dire need of dust, go dust all golden copies of your cards. (If you haven't already done so).
I tend to do this a lot, but starting to keep golds if I get them for my current deck.
only reason I dusted jaina was because it was a gold (and the fact I couldn't see myself using it any time soon)
I got a legendary for rogue called "Lilian Voss" I can't find if it has much use, you reckon I should probably dust that, or hang onto it for a while in case it becomes valid?

Dust it. It's so bad it lowers its meme archetype winrate unlike Moorabi or Lana'thel.

wish I'd gotten lana'thel as want to try out disco-lock. I know it's not meant to be amazing, but I love the idea (also would get the best use out of the disco-ball karazhan cardback as well... love that back)

I am blessed with both Lakkari Sacrifice and Clutchmother Zavas and I can tell you, these cards are utter shit. Same levels as Lilian Voss. Zavas is like the ******** little sister of Edwin. I am keeping them just in case some great discard cards come up during the next year but I'm afraid they will never be of any use.
so given that I probably won't be crafting this deck, should I dust the card, or keep it in case it becomes something I want in the future?
I am trying not to dust cards now as I've dusted some good cards in the past and seriously regretted it later... so may just hang onto it for a while yet.

Definitely keep it, mage quest is on everyone's watch list as the new card that becomes the new stupidly strong deck. All it lacks is more card draw and sufficient early game.
thanks... will hang onto it then.
I was gonna dust my DK Rexxar, but keeping it as have always enjoyed playing hunter, and I have a feeling Hunter will get better next expansion.
any decent hunter decks at the minute? I lost to a secret-based hunter today actually come to think of it. First time I've lost to hunter in a while come to think of it.

DK Rexxar is a solid adjustment to every Hunter deck. A general point of advice is to never dust any card that does not have more than 50% combined Bad/Dust it ratings. Especially if the card is still in standard.
thanks.
so with this in mind, any suggestions for good hunter decks right now? I have quite a lot of hunter cards (from the new expansions, too) I used to love playing mid range and secret hunter back in the old gods meta and even bought the hunter skin as well as I played it so much... would love to start getting some use out of hunter again.
I actually seen one earlier that would require zero dust, but was thinking of trying to work in some newer cards just so it was something with my own touch.
Any advise would be great, and if you have actual deck examples it would be even better.
I'm still pretty new to the game (played for 2 months last, and only came back to last month) one of my favourite games though, the epic nature paired with the not too complicated mechanics make it highly addictive to me. Just being extremely apprehensive about spending dust now as last year I crafted a ton of decks rather than focussing on 1 or 2... I'm actually doing way better having just played 1 deck for the past months (I have ran a more agressive variant last month, and switched to a taunt-heavy version this month for more survivability.
PS: I'm thinking of tweaking it further, completely removing the disco synergies (removing both soulfire, malchezars imp's and doom guards for 2 sea giants, 2 flappy birds and 2 cobalt scalbanes... not sure how this will pan out, but worth a go I reckon)
