About this deck:
This deck is about Uther of the Ebon Blade and his hero power The Four Horsemen for an instant win of the game. While there are versions around with Auctionmaster Beardo and Burgly Bully my version goes the pandaren way with bouncing back 3 different horsemen. If you have 3 you play them, press hero power and win.
This is way more consistend than to pray for The Coin from Burgly Bully and having Auctionmaster Beardo as a dead card all the game in hand. In Apandalypse you just need 4 cards to win this game: Uther of the Ebon Blade and 3 Brewmasters. The fourth one can be used for Sunkeeper Tarim, Ivory Knight or even more card draw with Coldlight Oracle.
The rest of the deck is card draw , stall mechanics and heal.
How to play this deck:
While it is possible to win with this deck the usual way (getting your opponent to 0 health) your game plan is to win with The Four Horsemen. You always mulligan for Righteous Protector and Rallying Blade, also a Loot Hoarder / Bloodmage Thalnos is okay and Stonehill Defender if you have The Coin. Never keep a brewmaster or a card with 4+ mana cost - only exception is when you are playing against a Shaman/Hunter or expect aggro then you might consider keeping a Consecration. Use Dark Conviction as half-removal for big minions, sometimes against aggro it can help you getting some tempo plays when you upgrade a Silver Hand Recruit or the Righteous Protector.
Matchup tipps:
Jade Druid:
Don't keep Skulking Geist in your opening hand, you loose too much tempo. You have enough card cycle that it's very likely you will find him. Try to find Sunkeeper Tarim from the Stonehill Defenders. Use 1 brewmaster to bounce Sunkeeper Tarim or a Stonehill Defender to find another one, this will buy you time for all the big jades coming later. Save Dark Conviction for big jade minions.
Razarus Priest:
Try to mill some cards with the Coldlight Oracles, they always have a full hand. Use 1 brewmaster for an extra Coldlight Oracle or Ivory Knight for more heal. Try to find big health taunt minions from Stonehill Defender and hope he uses his Anduin hero power on the taunts - this will save you time and health.
Exodia Mage:
This is a race of the better draws. Try to mill some cards with the Coldlight Oracles, they always have a full hand. Use 1 brewmaster for an extra Coldlight Oracle or Stonehill Defender to find Dirty Rats to pull some of his key cards - especially Archmage Antonidas. Don't focus on the board, it's all about who get's his win condition first. Keep in mind that some lists also run Coldlight Oracles, so keep an eye on your own hand size.
Gul'Dan Warlock:
One of your easy matchups. Dark Conviction for the Mountain Giants. Save 1 combo with Wild Pyromancer + Equality or Equality + Consecration after they played Bloodreaver Gul'dan. Most of the times you win those games without pulling your OTK combo.
Mill Warrior:
Keep an eye on your hand size, they also run Coldlight Oracle. Don't focus on the board, you have enough time to find your win condition while he is trying to mill you.
I'll add here more stuff after I got some feedback for the deck
Good luck summonning the Apandalypse!
What about Replacemnets (not only to this deck but to others as well). I don't have Sunkeeper Tarim but I'm pretty sure, it works w/o it
i think beardo is better but since i don"t have it ty for the deck i didnt thought of this win condition at all
Also Auctionmaster Beardo is a dead card EVERY game until the you finally meet the requirements of the OTK - which still - is not for 100% sure.
Comparing this to the requirements for the Apandalypse OTK it should be clear which deck is more consistent.
"predictable combo" - well, Uther of the Ebon Blade is a well known card, so the combo does not have any suprise effect, especially with the Auctionmaster Beardo version posted on every HS site as top tier deck. If there is a surprise factor (which will not win you the game) then with this version, because the pandaren way is not that known (yet).
To the point finding the horsemen: you only bounce back one of each horsemen and you only need 3 of them in hand. I agree that there is a RNG factor getting 3 different hosemen and actually that is - and it might sound wierd - good. If there was no RNG factor creating the horsemen then this deck would be way to OP. Moreover, you also can use Brewmasters as plain stat bodies or bouncing back value minions (see deck description). Auctionmaster Beardo is a dead card in hand the whole game.
even if your opponent knows the deck (exodia) he don"t know when you will use the combo, in your deck it is obvious, how can you say there is even a little surprise
and 50% is clearly an argument of consistency in hs, also if beardo is a dead card it is only one compared to the 4 "a bit less dead" cards on your deck
do you have a better winrate than the other version with the same amount of games ? if yes then you are right and you can skip this debate
i am trying it in ranked im rank 5, i will update
Hi Leolph, does Bolvar important in this deck? Any replacement?
its just a good card but you can rly remplace it with anything that's good too
Would love to know this too, does the HP work on a cycle of the 4 or is it random??
Don't you risk bouncing back the same horseman multiple times ?
