Total Deck Rating
152
Step 1: Stay Alive, you have a lot of tools
Step 2: Alexstrasza on turn 9.
Step 3: Play Unlicensed Apothecary, then play Bloodbloom into Treachery, and then Leeroy Jenkins. and Boom!
You're setting the oponent life to 15 to do 16 damage in the next turn. But,if Treachery works in a way that made Unlicensed Apothecary trigger itself during the board switch the total would be 21 damage.
And yeah, you can delay the combo one turn, or use the Treachery to clear the board with Doomsayer if there is some problems, then you still have the old Lord Jaraxxus as win condition.
If you need healing or more taunts, you can always run Stonehill Defender.
Harrison Jones is just a momentary filler and depends on the meta and your playstyle if this remains on the list. Kabal Trafficker was originally an alternative too.
if this deck become a thing , people will basically just use healing spells , or lifesteal to counter you so easy, thats why its better be sure its not popular
These are some of my favorite types of decks. Playing a silly, fun combo but also having an alternate win-con just in case. Makes me sad that I don't have any Doomsayers, Unlicensed Apothecary, or Lord Jaraxxus.
I would like to suggest that on the off chance that you are facing more aggro or maybe midrange/tempo decks, Tar Lurker could be a nice substitute for Harrison Jones.
Regardless, it seems like a very fun deck to play. Hopefully I can try it out someday!
Doomsayer is pretty much a control/combo staple, so they're worth crafting.
Lord Jaraxxus is also a warlock staple, and worth the craft.
As for the Unlicensed Apothecary, I can see not having that card, but in this case, it's so worth it.
Dreadsteed on the board. Hydra, treachery, defile. Woulda been so filthy.
If you can get there one Kara Kazham! , it can be very destructive with Defile (something like a warlock flamestrike). Very interesting and good-looking list.
As others pointed out: the combo deals only 16 dmg (and not 21). And 6 dmg of it can be blocked with any taunt minion. so it is not that consistent as a win condition (though you have Alexstrasza on board that the opponent has to remove/block too).
The transformation effects like Potion of Polymorph and the cards who move minions from one side of the board to the others like Mind Control Tech are considered equal to summon a minion for game resolution purposes. I don't know if Treachery would work on the same way, but you must be clear that all the minions with effects of "whenever you summon X do something" acts practically on the same way too, for example if a Knife Juggler switches sides of the board it in fact deal one random damage for the "summon" of itself. On the same way, if you play Faceless Manipulator on a friendly Unlicensed Apothecary the effect its gonna trigger twice and deal 10 damage to your hero.
In case they have programmed Treachery to work on a similar way to other pseudo-summon activators such as Faceless Manipulator or Cabal Shadow Priest the combo will deal 21 damage, but if the spell works differently it's gonna deal only 16 As you point out.
Moving one minion from one side to another is not considered summoning. When Knife Juggler throws a knife after you steal it with MCT it's because MCT is just entering the battlefield. If you steal Knife Juggler with a spell he does not shoot.
I found usefull playing DOOM! in deck running Bloodbloom
Yes, it's a possibility according to the words of Ben Brode, but If that happens it would be in April during the new standard rotation.
Your opinion on this deck will change after a couple of games with it something like 3-4 days after KOFT is released, because many people will stop playing their beloved Pirate Warriors and Token Druids (what?! but then how will HS be skillful?! we must return to the Skill Command days then!!!), and then your deck will need more lategame power urgently instead of healing, that will be useless against someone like a Control Warrior/Mage or a low tier (as it seems at the moment) Control Druid, and even more useless against other OTK decks, that might not run other lategame options like you because their combo is way bigger, stronger and demands more preparation, and then they will get their combo first and slaughter you, and crush you with Iceblock-- you should run eater of secrets, OTK mage seems like it can be extremely powerful at the upcoming meta.
Overall as it is for the moment the deck is really nice as a meme deck and even as a constructed deck, gj with the deck posting and (hopefully) deck testing.
Note: this might all be wrong because no one can be 100% sure that Aggro decks will stop at the moment... there might be some amazing Aggro buffers remaining at the unrevealed cards and there is always the chance that the new Control cards will just not be enough ... :C
Thanks for the feedback and point this issues out, is really helpful, but it seems like you forgot that Warlock has card draw available each turn from two to the endgame, and besides that the list includes cards who also cicle the deck, like Mortal Coil x2, Bloodmage Thalnos and Harrison Jones, also a useful tech card in some matchups like Control Warrior o Mage.
And maybe you're completely right, in that case I will put more card draw it the deck along with some resoursce generation like Kabal Trafficker. And we still need to see the Warlock DK, maybe is a stronger option than Lord Jaraxxus, no one knows.
no, I'm just completely confused(I'm after a night without sleep, didn't notice because I was to tired...) sorry about that xD
But still, although the fact it does not lack draw it will still need some more lategame power, and might be really weak vs warrior (Alex cannot remove armor anymore :C)
Edit: I edited my 1st comment to actually be relevant.
For whomever is wondering: I stayed awake to watch Rick&Morty's new Episode, and un-lucky for me, where I live it is on 6 AM, so I decided I rather stay awake instead of wake up so early at the morning (and then catch up more than 6 hours of sleep :D).
Not an otk if you need to do something a turn before
I had this combo jammed into a deck, until I realized it's only 16 damage. It is thoroughly unexciting.
nice idea but the combo requires lots of cards, good luck :)
Unlicensed Apothecary Deals damage when YOU summon a minion, so Leeroy Jenkins's welps will not work
WTF :O lol
It would be 16 damage since gifting Unlicensed Apothecary using Treachery isn't considered a summon. How the card is worded is the key (it would say summon on Treachery and even then, I don't think it would trigger for itself like that). Overall though it's a neat idea, I like it.
last time i remembered, Leeroy Jenkins can attack
