Step 1: Stay Alive, you have a lot of tools
Step 2: Alexstrasza on turn 9.
Step 3: Play Unlicensed Apothecary, then play Bloodbloom into Treachery, and then Leeroy Jenkins. and Boom!
You're setting the oponent life to 15 to do 16 damage in the next turn. But,if Treachery works in a way that made Unlicensed Apothecary trigger itself during the board switch the total would be 21 damage.
And yeah, you can delay the combo one turn, or use the Treachery to clear the board with Doomsayer if there is some problems, then you still have the old Lord Jaraxxus as win condition.
If you need healing or more taunts, you can always run Stonehill Defender.
Harrison Jones is just a momentary filler and depends on the meta and your playstyle if this remains on the list. Kabal Trafficker was originally an alternative too.
Valeera the Hollow ??
your face is Hollow
I have absolutely no idea how this deck gets 100+ votes. Maybe people just like memes.
OK, you are playing 4 cards with 10 mana to deal 16 damage. If you have actually played this game for a few months and understand the value system behind it, you should realize how inefficient 4 cards for 16 damage is. Besides, all 4 cards in this combo are bad by themselves (Yes, I know Treachery can be used with Doomsayer). I am sure it is easier for a mage to set up Alexstrasza with Frostbolt and 2 Fireball.
Another funny thing is that, as long as your opponent has some sort of heal or taunt and he can deal with an 8/8, I don't see how you can win the game. After all, this deck does not have enough resources against other control decks. I would be really happy to see someone getting 50% winrate at rank 10 with this.
Honestly I don't understand the good reception either, at least not completely. But hey, I think that the upvotes don't necessarily represent the competitiveness or viability of this build, it just seems like the people think that the deck is fun, games are supposed to be fun, I don't see any problem with that. I don't put a tag for ranked or something similar for this deck.
But with respect to your points, a lot of decks can't finish games without set up a combo, this isn't rare at all. I mean, did you play Worgen Warrion or the combo variants of renolock? absolutly all the decks in hearthstone have "if" counters, so what's the point in that?
I don't think you see how bad the deck is even if it suppose to be fun. You expect your opponent to not heal or place down taunts once they get Alexstraza. Why won't I just go to wild and do the Leeroy Faceless Manipulator Double Power Overwhelming Combo instead? The Freeze Mage deck was brought up because that is also OTK deck but it doesn't get stopped by taunts. Why not play Miracle Rougue instead? Props for creativity but just don't expect it to work against most decks or competent players.
Hey man i like your deck but it may be inconsistent i think a demon reno lock will be king of the meta could you check my deck out and give me some advice? http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/881332-lord-of-the-demon-realm-legend
I don't think that combo is an otk combo, it's pointless to try it out in a single turn. You won't have the cards most of the time, even if u do there might be no time to using them. So, what about delaying the combo? Play unlicensed on curve, you have a fat demon on the board, he can deal with almost everything that your opponent throws to the board next turn with its fat body, its hard to remove and even he using some removals for it, you are still in a good shape. (using fireball or swd on suicidal demon, must be painful). And later, make your full combo by peace. U can use dirty rat or rats with leeroy for extra dmg, rat alone is good early drop too. But let me remind you, if you gonna use rat with leeroy, make sure leeroy hits first, rat could bring some annoying taunts to the board.
In the desription I pointed out that the combo can be delayed, or even if you're on a bad spot you can use the pieces to gain board control, feel free about that because you can still win because Lord Jaraxxus, but the Dirty Rat idea was out of my mind, it's awesome, thanks for sharing that, the deck has a lot of removal so even for other non-combo purposes the rat seems useful.
This deck is missing Howlfiend and Spreading Madness. Just give your opponent Howlfiend and watch them burn their hand. Beats Dirty Rat anyday.
I see Treachery Howlfiend combos being some of the most OP shit ever done.
Like I don't see a lot of people being able to come back from having an empty hand with all their combos taken out.
I think Gnomeferatu completes this deck. Think about, you opponent starts with 30 cards including his win conditions, aow's, combos and you make it meaningless with deleting his cards. INSANE!
Interesting idea for sure. Treachery is definitely one of those cards that can create some interesting combos but I'm not always a fan of decks that rely so much on very specific combinations. It just sucks when your main win condition goes out the window. Not only that but you also need to make sure they have space for 3 minions on the board which adds another layer of strategy to it. You could bloodbloom twisting nether Alexastra the turn before but there is a decent enough chance for a big taunt or some kind of heal to negate some of that damage.
Kudos for the strategy though.
How does this deal 16 damage in 1 turn? How can unlicensed apothecary trigger off treachery if your opponent isn't summoning anything? I don't understand
So you give them the Apothecary with treachery that same turn. Leeroy summons the 2 1/1s on their board which do 5 damage each and Leeroy runs into their face for 6 damage. The opponent doesn't have to summon the minions themselves for the damage to trigger off the apothecary.
6 damage from Leeroy Jenkins and 10 more from his whelps.
The minions with effects of "whenever you summon X do something" triggers from unclear interactions sometimes, when Knife Juggler switches sides of the board it in fact deal one random damage for the "summon" of itself. We don't know if the Unlicensed Apothecary-Treachery combo would do the same thing.
Leeroy gives 2 1/1's and does 6 damage
Ya I watched a vid someone posted and realised the whelp summons deal damage. Still positive that treachery will not trigger the apothecary however.
Buddy, Alex your opponent to 15. The two WELPS do 10 damage to the opponent and leeroy swings in for 6.
fatigue will finish u in most cases.
