This deck was inspired by one of Firebat's Deck Doctor videos (link below). I went from rank 15 to rank 9 playing only this deck, consistently beating meta decks.
Win Conditions:
- Against aggro: Clear the board, win with powerful mid-game minions
- Against control: Play minions on curve and Malygos finishes
- Against combo: May the luckier man win
Match-Ups (Win-Loss):
- Overall: 26-14 (65%)
- Pirate Warrior: 4-0 (100%)
- Plenty of removal to kill his pirates; Fan of Knives eats pirates
- Much stronger mid game minions
- Can't get past The Curator's taunt
- Finja, the Flying Star crushes pirates if you don't die before you play him
- Play Edwin VanCleef early and just win the race
- Tempo Mage: 3-0 (100%)
- Play Edwin VanCleef early and just win the race
- Finja, the Flying Star gets punished by Flamestrike, so try to either bait removal or coin Finja on turn 4
- Malygos beats Archmage Antonidas most of the time
- Jade Druid: 1-0 (100%)
- Druid can't clear Edwin VanCleef unless they run Mulch
- Finja, the Flying Star eats tiny Jade Golems and runs over Druid with tempo
- This deck doesn't run Sap, so if you can't get enough face damage before Ancient of War drops, then you're done
- Malygos usually finishes the job after the taunts start to roll out
- Handbuff Paladin: 4-1 (80%)
- Usually doesn't run Equality, and Consecrate isn't strong enough to kill 3/4 health minions
- Flood the board with Finja, the Flying Star and win before Tirion Fordring hits
- Renolock: 3-1 (75%)
- Save spells, curve out, and Malygos bursts from 30
- Midrange Shaman: 2-1 (66%)
- Your removal is cheaper and more reliable
- The only time I lost was when I got my Finja, the Flying Star spell power Lightning Storm'd
- Miracle Rogue: 6-4 (60%)
- You have stronger and more minions because they usually run mostly spells for Gadgetzan Auctioneer, so beat them with tempo
- Whoever draws better wins
- Dragon Priest: 2-2 (50%)
- Drakonid Operative crushes dreams
- Play Edwin VanCleef as a high tempo 4/4 because Priest can't deal with 4/4's
- Play Malygos whenever and he can't remove it; if he runs Entomb then sucks to be you
- Save spells, curve out, and Malygos bursts from 30
- Hunter: 1-2 (33%)
- Establish a board before Savannah Highmane wrecks you
- Reno Mage: 0-3 (0%)
- Board clears and Ice Barrier destroys mid-game
- Ice Block and Reno Jackson, so after you burst them they heal back up.
- Concede once target is confirmed
Mulligan Guide:
- Look at the match-ups section for the deck you're playing against. Below is what you generally look for.
- Aggro: Backstab, Finja, the Flying Star, Fan of Knives, SI: 7 Agent, Edwin VanCleef
- Mid-range: Backstab, Finja, the Flying Star, SI: 7 Agent, The Curator
- Control: The Curator, Finja, the Flying Star, Tomb Pillager
Replacements:
- Barnes --> really anything, but maybe Xaril, Poisoned Mind
- Jeweled Scarab --> Rogues have really good 3-drops, but Slithid Swarmer gives more tempo
- Edwin VanCleef --> pretty core to the deck, but if I had to Shaku, the Collector
Pros:
- The deck is really fun as with most of every rogue deck
- Gives you a win condition against any deck
- Doesn't rely on Gadgetzan Auctioneer to draw
- Very few dead draws compared to classic miracle rogue
- Sometimes lives against aggro decks
Cons:
- Can draw pretty poorly
- Less draw than other miracle rogue decks
Bad deck
