So basically the play-style of this deck is to play the quest (The Caverns Below), get infinite value of Swashburglar, Fire Fly and Wisp, with the help of "return your minion into your hand cards", Mimic Pod, and Thistle Tea you'll finish the quest easily!
There are tools like: Sprint + Preparation, Mimic Pod + Preparation, Novice Engineer, Bloodmage Thalnos, and Thistle Tea to help draw your cards.
Backstab and Eviscerate + Swashburglar and Fire Fly battlecry value to help control the board.
Then finish the game with Moroes's 5/5 minions on your board (if you already have finished the quest) + Shadowcaster to have an extra bullet of Moroes in hand if in case they clear your board. But hey its just a theory a Hearthstone Theory.
Edit: Added Thistle Tea; removed 1 Gadgetzan Ferryman
Added Wisp; removed 2 Counterfeit Coin
Added Vanish; removed Bloodmage Thalnos
Added Gadgetzan Ferryman; removed Barnes
Added Edwin VanCleef; removed Sherazin, Corpse Flower
Firefly sounds good when you finish the quest, but remember that the elemental isn't firefly, so you're really just paying 2 mana for 2 5/5s. Might I suggest Bilefin Tidehunter Instead? It's effectively the same card, but now you also get a taunt.
On top of that, it costs 1 less mana to play it, Shadowstep it, and play it again, compared to firefly (2 mana vs 3)
YeaFire Fly's battlecry is a token card not an actual card.
Like i said, our goal here is to finish our quest ASAP and curving is important. If we are unlucky and never draw our Wisp but we got our other combo cards like Youthful Brewmaster/Gadgetzan Ferryman,
2 Shadowstep (out from prep+mimic pod), and Fire Fly on turn 3, then we can start our combo - Fire Fly into Shadowstep2x + Youthful Brewmaster.. Then by the time its turn 4 - fill our board with small creatures and then on turn 5 complete the quest to turn them into 5/5.
with Bilefin Tidehunter you get the exact same result:
Turn 2: Bilefin Tidehunter + Shadowstep.
Turn 3: Bilefin Tidehunter + Youthful Brewmaster/Gadgetzan Ferryman,
Turn 4: Bilefin Tidehunter + Shadowstep + Bilefin Tidehunter.
Quest is ready to complete on turn 5, and we have 4 1/1 taunt minions on our board.
Bilefin Tidehunter + Shadowstep results in 3 cards, 2 with taunt, and costs 2 mana.
Fire Fly + Shadowstep results in 1 card for 1 mana, or 3 cards for 3 mana. None with taunt. Less mana and better minions? Sounds like value to me.
I think fan of knives is essential against murlocs and 1-mana hunter beasts
Why would you play Barns if you can play doppelgangster(good with shadowcaster) or teacher, or at least murloc with taunt???
Everybody talk about wisps, lol, what you will play after with zero cards in hand? Or just trust in luck for all game? So in my opinion wisps are useless, better take loot hoarders.
Also why Sprint? I think you would like to play preparation with quest, so chanses to draw another one and Sprint are pretty low, and without preparation 7 Mana play nothing is really bad for agro.
Good that you as I think that buffs will not work, but if it is true, your minions also can't be damaged, only killed?
Well whisp, is a 0 mana card. So playing wisp into youthful brewmaster for turn 2. Also with gadgetzan ferryman without losing too much tempo. Comboing with novice would be way better since it just draws a card. As for spint playing 1 copy is fine. Drawing 4 cards for 4 mana combo'ed with prep of course is still high value in mid/late game, even better if control will be played more. But that is meta dependent.
There are still rogue cards that are yet to be revealed. The devs also mentioned that its too early to review the rogue quest card and there will be cards that will support the deck. Looking forward to it. :D
I would really suggest playing vanish since if combo'ed with prep its a 3 mana card. And with all the low card minions like fire fly (more advantage after the quest. Also it helps complete the quest. I really dislike thistle tea and i don't see how sherazin would help the game plan since playing 4 cards in a single turn seems like resource wastement. IMO vanish is an auto include just for the value after and before the quest goes off. I mean look at cold light oracle decks.
Violet Teacher will be a good win condition to have as well.
Generally great I think. Liking the addition of Moroes since he won't be as vulnerable to AOE in a 5/5 state
Looking like this is definitely an aggro style of play if you include the quest
Thoughts on mine?

quests shows up in your starting hand before mulligan
Wran, I think this deck needs Vanish, it is just such a good recovery tool when your minions cost 0 or 1 and are 5/5's. I have been testing my theorycraft with my own version of the deck and I have very consistently finished the quest turn 5. You can check my decks on my profile simply called Caverns Below and Caverns Test if you are curious. (This isn't the place to post my own decks)
Great idea here. This is the quest card I'm most excited about.
One thought though, do you think the deck would be more consistent with 2 auctioneers? Could take out sprint for sure and take out either Thalnos (Not a ton of direct damage spells and replaces the card draw) or thistle tea (If the meta is still way too fast).
Edwin, 1 counterfeit coin, and SI could be good too but then you might as well just play miracle. Sucks that blizzard decided to rotate out conceal.
Had the same idea but it gives a different deck. I think Shadowcaster, thistle tea and Sprint comes too late regarding the combo. I feel you should definitely be able to end the quest at turn 5 at worse, so any card that cost more than 3 is not helping you. I did hesitate to include Sherazin though ^^
ur only draw is 1 mimic pod... kinda lacking no?
Stonetusk Boar is really great if we already complete the quest, SMorc combo but our main goal here is to finish the quest as fast as we can cuz this is a combo deck we need those key cards to win the game. At the early game we need minions on board and Fire Fly helps throw a card and gain a card in the early game. Wisp cost free and helps us finish the quest really fast (if we're lucky) like for instance having Wisp, Youthful Brewmaster/Gadgetzan Ferryman, and 2 Shadowstep is already a perfect hand as long as we get the combo for the quest its GG. No need to worry about lack of draws cuz we got some cards for that.
One potential change... would you consider -2 counterfeit coins for wisps? they seem like they allow for more powerful combos. also Vancleef does get his buff with the cave up so you might want to squeeze him back in.
That is actually a good idea with the wisp. I was thinking as well that the deck requires efficient mana cuz you need to do crazy stuff for this to work and having not enough mana might limit that. Definitely gonna try it out. Vancleef in the other hand would be an awesome synergy with the wisp and shadowstep at turn 3 lol the meme
