This probably looks like a meme deck, but no; I'm being completely cereal.
Every time I play this deck, I feel like an Olympian god. The power level of Summoning Stone is over 9000!!!!!
But it's true! Imagine if you could play Token Druid with not two, not three, but FOUR Violet Teachers. That's basically what this is.
And now with the addition of Medivh, the Guardian, it's like you have FIVE teachers. That's A LOT of teachers you guys.
The Gameplan:
VIOLET TEACHER, SUMMONING STONE, SPELLS, GG. POWER OF THE WILD, MARK OF THE LOTUS, WELL PLAYED. MEDIVH THE GUARDIAN, NATURE WILL RISE AGAINST YOU!
Mulligan:
First Priority: Stuff that ramps
Second Priority: Stuff that removes
Third Priority: Stuff that draws
If you have nothing that ramps, and nothing that removes, put everything back. If you have both, you can keep stuff that draws. Don't keep stuff that summons because you will draw that stuff anyway and having too much stuff that summons sucks, so don't do it.
UPDATE: HE'S BAAAACK
Ultimate Infestation is a good card. You know what would make it even better though? If it summoned Deathwing when you play it. Now it can, thanks to the unstoppable, raw power that is Summoning Stone. GG ladder.
Latest changes:
- 4 somethings or whatever
+ 2 Spreading Plague
You thought these cards were busted before? Just you wait.
I did intentionally neglect the informative element of the guide in favor of a goofy minimal-text write-up because I thought people would find that more amusing. Long blocks of instructions really kill the humor vibe. Plus, I figured enough people had played as or against Token Druid to already know how it's played. This is basically the same deck but with different lategame.
Tbh I never expected to get so many upvotes. I only made this so I could show a friend what I was playing. I've thought about expanding on the guide a few times, but I've always had other things to do and it just didn't feel important enough. If you think I should write a more detailed guide, I can. You might have gotten unlucky with it, but if played right, this deck can be really busted.
Very nice, I like to play with it but as the board can be easily cleaned, I added two Soul of the Forest instead of one Feral Rage and one Savage Roar.
Are there any ways of replacing Fandral, I could craft him if I disenchanted some cards but i'd rather not.
Thanks
Try Mire Keeper instead.
Thanks for showing us the deck! I'm always looking forward to my next turn. Super fun and competitive too!
Can I use Ancient of Lore on this deck?
I doubt it would be that useful. Ancient of War or second Moonglade Portal would be better.
Playing this at rank 8 atm, anyone got legend with it? :)
Today got doomsayer from power of the wild & the stone. Ouch.
P.S. Added mulch instead of one feral rage. Otherwise big van-cleefs and other guys are real trouble.
I die to aggro (outtempo) and midrange totem shaman (portal + lightning storm + spirit claws cleanups), zoolocks (they clear the board all the time), hunters of any kind; N'Zoth / resurrect / dragon priest (cleanup); dragon (outtempo) and control (cleanup) warrior; Malygos druid (cleanup) and miracle rogue (cleanup) + 14 damage Leeroy.
Any tips to make this deck work on ladder? Maybe mulligan guide? Should I keep Power of the Wild in my starting hand?
There's a mulligan guide included, and no you definitely shouldn't keep Power of the Wild in your starting hand. Only keep Raven Idol, Wild Growth, Living Roots, and Innervate. It is sometimes okay to keep other things like Wrath and Violet Teacher, but only if you already have at least one of these others.
I meant "More detailed mulligan guide", like "vs shaman keep X because of Y".
Guess, should keep removals if they may be useful.
E.g. living roots are great against 3/2 minions of mage and hunter, feral rage good against mage (flamewalker 2/4) and shaman (3/4 totem). Against warriors living roots is crap, they have no 3/2.
Yes, and always go for a spell. The goal is to try and get Wild Growth or Innervate.
Any thoughts on how to put in Cenarius?
Replace Savage Roar perhaps.
Don't have 2 Nourishs.
Any replacement?
This deck is very fun. I've managed to pull wins out when I should have definitely lost.
This is one deck in which I take no shame net-decking. Finally a fun deck that takes pride in the options the game provides us. I still only play casual with it, but by god if it isn't fun. Fantastic find, and it's hilarious to see your opponent's cursor and imagine him thinking: what the hell is this....
Will be keeping an eye on more decks if you make 'em :)
Well, after playing for a while as a Rank 5 player at Rank 17... not so impressed with a 3-8 winrate D: I love the idea but there isn't enough early game; the deck just gets overrun :/. If anyone can get high ranks with this deck, you are better than me! Awesome idea though
