Strategy
Complete the quest as we develop board in the late game with the Exotic Mountseller with the addition and synergy of the spells of Choose One giving us more survival and then finish off the rival with Savage Roar or press it with the dragons of Ysera, Unleashed until finishing it Chef Nomi.
Core
Untapped Potential. The reason for being able to play both effects and the specialty of the deck.
Treenforcements, Crystal Power, Worthy Expedition, Power of the Wild, Wrath, Crystal Merchant and Rising Winds. They are very good support cards for the early game since they are low cost in addition to combining them very well in certain turns to complete the quest.
Ironbark, Bogbeam and Nourish. It allows us to have a great synergy with the Exotic Mountseller in addition to helping us to control the board a little while Nourish us allows you to have more mana for the next turn to be able to summon more beasts.
Oasis Surger. He is the best minion of Choose One, far surpasses the other minions with the same function as Crystal Stag, Scion of Ruin and Faceless Corruptor (Obviously with the quest finished).
Hidden Oasis. The reason why I decided to create this deck because healing and taunt comes in handy against aggro decks, many games have saved my life for this card.
Imprisoned Satyr, Forest Warden Omu and Germination. With the new addition of these minions to our deck we can respond to the opponent's board and play our earliest minions in the same turn. Playing Ysera, Unleashed as early as possible or filling the board with the Exotic Mountseller on turn 6 really helps you survive a lot. And the combo of Omu and Germination is essential for strong combinations.
Survival of the Fittest. A finisher in case we have spent both Savage Roar or efficiently trade with the beasts we have on board.
Savage Roar, Chef Nomi, Exotic Mountseller and Ysera, Unleashed. The essence of the deck and our main win coditions since all the effort was thanks to them made up of the best Chef of Azeroth, the specialists in beasts and the dragons of Ysera. A worthy mention of the Savage Roar by Lethal in every game.
Details
- Crystal Power does no harm to your hero but does kill your own minions below two health or less. If he does not kill the minion, it heals his life but also applies to enemy minions.
- The Coin or Innervate account for the quest because it does not undo at the end of the turn.
- If you board the Forest Warden Omu and Nourish it will refresh 9 mana crystals because the Spellburst is activated at the end and by the gain of those 2 empty mana crystals.
- Copy Forest Warden Omu with Germination, the copy will have Spellburst.
- Exotic Mountseller previously was a bad card situationally but now it is in a good point for the minions that there are now, that I am going to classify it in the next categories:
*Good minions
- Diving Gryphon
- Zixor, Apex Predator
- Ironfur Grizzly
- Emperor Cobra
- Jungle Panther
- King Mukla
- Dread Raven
- Augmented Porcupine
- Educated ElekkNEW
- Bloated PythonNEW
*Meh
*The worst minions
Mulligan
Instead of showing the perfect hands for each class on what cards you should have in your starting hand because it is very random, you can simply change it so from now on I will not tell you what specific cards you should stay but rather to advise which cards It would do well against those classes in general.
Here I will make an exception to be able to tell you the same card combination that would come in hand in all matchups and you saved yourself from reading the same thing. Preferably keep the low cost cards [They are all from the second paragraph in the Core section] including the Quest to be able to play them successively with the remaining mana. And usually stick with Untapped Potential (obviously), Treenforcements, Crystal Merchant, or Oasis Surger. I recommend that you always stay with Oasis Surger and obviously with the quest to avoid mentioning them in each mulligan.
Demon Hunter. Tempo DH variations. Low-cost spells help control the board a lot here. You do not want to trade or lose a quest advance just by killing a minion with your hero power since it is not worth risking for that but it is worth staying with Hidden Oasis, you will eventually draw the spells from early that will help you.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Soul Fragments and variations of tempo or aggro decks.
Aggro decks cost us a lot to overcome but the other archetypes can easily win although those who use soul fragments their main damage comes from their weapon so they are not very interactive for the board, they always go face. Generally: Wrath or Hidden Oasis.
Druid. Spell or Big druid. Against spell is basically a mirror but we have more advantages in terms of value in addition to the difference of the Quest although the problem would be its swarm in tuno 5 so it would be good to develop a board before hand to avoid damage. Against big the same but this time stay with Nourish to be able to fight the board later.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Guardian Animals.
Before it was 50/50 but with the Imprisoned Satyr we are more likely to win and put ourselves first. His win codition are the beasts and dragons of Ysera, Unleashed while we can increase the statistics of our minions and trade better but if other druids also carry Exotic Mountseller it will be difficult. Generally: Nourish or Imprisoned Satyr.
Hunter. Face/Dragons/Highlander. Face hunter is the simple game of all so developing an early board will help us trade against those ugly grain gnomes and includes dragons and any beasts you have from the other archetypes. Stay with Hidden Oasis against any archetype of this class due to the large amount of excessive damage they can achieve.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Face Hunter.
One of the most difficult confrontations since to survive it will be eliminating his minions and heal us with Hidden Oasis. Generally: Wrath or Hidden Oasis.
Mage. Spell or Highlander. I have a mixed question about both confrontations, I'm not sure to stick with the most greedy cards because most of their spells can be directed at minions considering that each one interprets as if you want to spend it on resources sooner. Hidden Oasis comes in hand against spell for the amount of damage it will do to your face. Note: It's a slow class, another plan would be to just draw with Rising Winds even if you don't have the quest done.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Turtle, Small spells and Highlander.
All the archetypes of mages are very slow in which we have time to abuse them, we have it easy but the turtle decks have to hold until the freezing areas run out. Generally: Nourish or Imprisoned Satyr.
Paladin. Libram or Murlocs. Putting minions in the early comes in hand to be able to fight the board in both matches so it costs a lot to stabilize later if we can't. Hidden Oasis is unnecessary against Libram but is required to have against Murlocs and Oasis Surger is very good in both confrontations.
Meta Scholomance Academy. "Pure" (Racist).
You can't win against these fools, it's more unfair than druid because of the buffs it gives to its minions. Generally: Wrath or Imprisoned Satyr.
Priest. Rez or Control Galakrond. You can set up a board to spend resources and keep greedy cards since these confrontations are very slow but very annoying. Chef Nomi will see more game here, we must let him use all the AOE to finish it off. Note: It's a slow class, another plan would be to just draw with Rising Winds even if you don't have the quest done.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Galakrond and Resurrection.
It is the same as the mage archetypes, they are slow decks so basically we have won it and we just have to make it spend areas and that's it. Generally: Nourish or Imprisoned Satyr.
Rogue. Galakrond variations. Same concept against any deck tempo or aggro, raise minions in the early and eliminate all possible lackeys on the table so that it does not make a wand.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Stealth and Secrets.
Stealth is basically face hunter but more planned, it is just as difficult to beat him but Hidden Oasis will save us. And secrets as simple we only continue with our game because it does not present a threat. Against stealth: Wrath or Hidden Oasis. Against secrets: Nourish or Wrath.
Shaman. Quest/Galakrond, Evolution or Totems. In all archetypes it is necessary to play minions the same in the early with small removals since it is very dangerous to leave minions alive on the board.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Non-existent.
I have not seen this class in this expansion so I am going to assume that quests and totems will be played. Generally: Nourish or Wrath.
Warlock. Quest Malygos. Same idea of small minions in early but only against Galakrond because Quest Malygos is very slow. Use Hidden Oasis after Alexstrasza plays you and keep a position above 20 health. Note: It's a slow class, another plan would be to just draw with Rising Winds even if you don't have the quest done.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Quest Malygos.
Another class that does not see game but has become popular again Quest Malygos. Resist above 25 health and keep Hidden Oasis when in critical lethal status. Generally: Nourish or Imprisoned Satyr.
Warrior. Enrage variations. Sometimes it works to have minions on the board or not to play minions so that you do not have synergy with damaged minions but preferably keep them just in case like Hidden Oasis.
Meta Scholomance Academy. Bombs and Big.
No archetype of warrior gives us importance because they are slow decks, you just have to follow our game, I recommend that you draw the bombs in mid game to avoid their Dr. Boom. Generally: Imprisoned Satyr or Nourish.
Options / Changes
I will give you some recommendations but not so many cards so as not to saturate or change the idea of the deck but also you decide with which cards to play.
Good options
- Nature Studies "Excellent option to play Nourish on turn 5"
- Archspore Msshi'fn "I want to put it in the deck but I don't know which card to remove"
- Anubisath Defender "Good taunt if you want to play Nourish against aggro"
- Glowfly Swarm "One mana less than Runic Carvings, being able to buff them earlier"
Bad options
- Keeper Stalladris "It obstructs your hand a lot for the amount of draw we have"
- Runic Carvings "pretty weak for this meta"
- Cenarius "Meh, it's better to play it from Worthy Expedition in concrete situations"
Synergies with Choose One
Keeper Stalladris. "Sometimes it obstructs your hand with so much draw"Fungal Fortunes. "Sometimes it also obstructs your hand but it is not convenient"Archspore Msshi'fn. "Too slow, it doesn't convince me"Starfall. "Okay but I'd rather be more proactive with Oasis Surger"Glowfly Swarm. "The same is fine for an early board but I don't have it"Cenarius. "Okay but I see it slow to trade after the Exotic Mountseller"
Most common value cards
Elise the Enlightened. "Very slow and dead, we already have enough value to spare"Zephrys the Great. "Another minion dead on hand but more likely to see game here"Alexstrasza. "With the beasts on the board the damage does not come to do 15 damage"Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. "I prefer Ysera, Unleashed"
Modify the deck so that it is adapted to the new expansion and more optimized. But I will still leave the old text, I will not delete it.
Played a handful of games with this deck, Really enjoy it! No one expects Quest either so they Mulligan for Spell and have free reins to complete quest( except for hardcore aggro games)!
All versions I have played:
Unfortunately I had to restart my pc from the factory deleting all the saved data from Deck Tracker. So I had to replay almost 50 games of the new version.
I was only able to reach rank 7 diamond the most I spent with this deck. The deck is going well for me especially against slow decks like priest and mage. Hunter and paladin are difficult battles to fight.
I will publish the statistics when this month is over.
I have had good results with this deck, I have been playing it for two months, I recommend it since it can adapt well to everything. I love the Exotic Mountseller set because it's great on any druid deck.
