Greetings, I'm Emirates, an italian High Legend player, and this season I finally switched to my Renolock for climb the ladder!
Enjoy my list with the 68% of Win-rate from rank 4 to Legend (Top 30 EU ATM).
If you want to know more about strategy and mulligans, feel free to ask in the comments below, I'll be glad to solve your questions about this amazing archetype!
- Strategy -
Welcome. This is the Emirates's Renolock.
The deck I love the most.
One of the healthiest and most satisfying to play, since I started playing HS.
This time, I will bring you an updated version of it, ready to fight against the post-Naga-Nerf, Wild meta.
The strategy is simple. Do not die against aggro / mid-range, survive against Combo and annihilate Control decks.
To do so, come to the rescue many combos, plays and cards that we will need to make good use of.
The Renolock is a very difficult archetype to use, unlike what you may think.
Everything is used 1x, so even for our opponent it's not that easy to predict what we will do during a turn.
- Play Style -
The first rule of Renolock is to ask yourself every turn ''Can I tap?''.
Using the hero power can give you an huge advantage in many circumstances, but can be a big problem in others.
That's why using it wisely it's the key of the game, that distinguishes a good player from a bad one.
Keep an eye on the opponent board and hand, in Hearthstone the vision of the game is very important, since 'many players don't play around the possible opponent's moves, but when they see a ''green card'' they think is the best to do for that turn.
It is not always so ', so' take your time when you start a turn, be careful and ask yourself 'how can I be punished?' 'Rather than 'This card seem cool, I think is fine for now...' '
Remember, Renolock is a deck that rewards the skill of the player more than you can imagine, if you play well, taking time to make a play and especially studying that play you have in mind, can give you high profits, don't be hasty and always stay focused on yourself.

- Missing some Cards? -
You can actually tech your RenoLock deck quite easily, even if you miss some card.
I really like this type of deck. Used it to get my last wins for my golden Warlock, with a 75% winrate (something like 25-8)
Just played this and in my first game I Dirty Ratted opponents Shudderwock which I immediately killed. (I would have Zola'd Dirty Rat and tried again if needed)
It. Felt. Good.
great deck..i swapped BGH for The Darkness, for the memes and it's working pretty good. I'm currently 38 - 18 from rank 15 to rank 7. And it's so fun i can't stop playing..and i should be studying :(
50-21 to rank 4..the darkness is killing it :)
Anyone care to tell me how the POSSIBLE FUCK this deck can ever even HOPE to beat res priest? Because I am currently sitting at a hefty ass 0% win rate against at least 15+ res priests. And don't tell me I have no idea how res priest works, I've played the deck myself way before most people did.
So please show me how you actually do this. Literally 99% of the time they barnes on turn 4 too, which you seem to admit is unwinnable against. So tell me then how this matchup is POSSIBLY favored as if you can prevent them drawing barnes???? What're you gonna do, dirty rat a random giant ass minion from their hand? because I don't think so.
I've always LOVED renolock/decks but this is simply NOT working in this damn res priest togwaffle meta,
da fuck ????????????
Fun, challenging to play, and effective. Thanks for sharing your trifecta deck.
This deck is very difficult in the ranks from 15 to 12. It sometimes works perfectly but other times gets rekt much easier.
Hi, thx for the guide, I'm interested how is Rin doing? I'm thinking she is just too slow...Also, molten giant seems very interesting :)
Can you clarify some includions:
1) Geist - only good against Jade Druid ? Any other use maybe?
2) BGH - seems good against shamans and Big priest - is it worth cutting him for Sy. Soul?
3) Sense Demons - also not certain about it...why not demonwrath maybe?
4) No room for Emperor Th., Dredlord or Sylvanas? Between 3 of them, what would you include?
1) In my opinon Skulking Geist is not essential. It's an ok tech card but Rin, the First Disciple or Dirty Rat are still the core of the tech cards, the important ones. Geist it's not an important lose if you cut it.
2) About Big Game Hunter I still think Siphon Soul and Blastcrystal Potion are the way to go for single target removals. If you have to pick one then go with SP, but if you ask me I recommend running both spells.
3) About Sense Demons I still don't feel it but Emirates says it's solid so you can try it maybe.
4) And about Emperor Thaurissan and Sylvanas Windrunner they are solid options and I tried both but at the end I included Rotten Applebaum instead (having already Sludge Belcher) because it helps better to stall games, it's better vs agressive decks and it's one more taunt with N'Zoth, the Corruptor. What you want with this deck is to survive and to stall games. You barely will notice the Emperor discounts in the long run and in this kind of deck and Sylvannas while it's strong, it's easily counterable nowadays compared to the old days from what I saw. The value you get with her it's usually low overall. I rather to have one more solid mid game taunt but it's a matter of tastes. Don't get me wrong, Sylv and Emperor are still worth anyway.
hey im missing kazakus, nazoth nd malgalis. and suggestions for replacement for that time been?
I can craft Godfrey and Malganis. It is good idea?
Some cards I don't understand :
Thanks for your explanations :) !
This is probably the best deck I've played in a long long time! I don't play wild much but now I'm hooked on to it. This is simply genius. Mal'Ganis is boss. Thanks a lot, mate! Upvoted
wicked expensive deck.
Mountain Giant or Molten Giant?
Personally, I use Mountain Giant in Warlock. Molten is too much of a risk in Wild IMO. You can play Mountain faster and bait removal, or your opponent trading out their board early.
Oh molten is so much better than the mountain! In my opinion, warlocks have greater synergy with molten than mountain. 0 mana cost at 10 health. Play the molten, reno yourself, Zola the reno and wait for the opponent to concede!
Not only are you able to apply pressure with an 8 8 but you're back to full health. What more to ask!
And like mentioned in the above comment, a 4 mana 8 damage board clear is gold especially against aggro decks.
50 upvotes, guide as promised :)
50 upvotes up and coming :) Start to work on the guide :) Keep up the good work bro, ciao da Turchia...
