1. Introduction
This deck used to be the spectral tess deck, but the meta changed so i tried to change this deck aswell.
Welcome to my Thief MiracleRogue deck! The idea behind this deck is to draw cards and clear early threats , then shuffle cards from your opponents class into you deck with academic and a ton of spiders with valeera and augmented elek.
The biggest plus of this deck is how much fun to play it is. No game is ever the same and the possibilities are endless.
2. Mulligan Guide
Backstab As anti-aggro and combo activator
Cavern Shinyfinder Drawing spectral is a good thing
Augmented Elekk Ideal turn 3 before spiders/espionage.
Fal'dorei Strider Ideal turn 4, especially if elekk survives turn 3.
On the coin you can add SI:7 Agent and Elven Minstrel

"Death Knight cards count as another class, Dream cards do not. Like with Ethereal Peddler."
Since in my previous comment did not have anyone wanting to talk about anything relevant just downvoted let me try to help you Jsnep77 because it seems that you are somewhat lost with all these one-off cards.
Vanish seems really bad in this list with Fal'dorei Strider and no Preparation.
Stonehill Defender is worst than Tar Creeper , i know it give you one more Taunt minion and this is relevant with Valeera the Hollow but still Tar Creeper is the 1st most played card of the format for a reason.
Saronite Chain Gang and Rotten Applebaum both very solid Taunt minions no doubt about it but is that really needed? I dont think so, i believe you can play better cards on this slot.
So -1 Vanish -1 Stonehill Defender +1 Fire Fly +1 Tar Creeper , -1 Saronite Chain Gang -1 Rotten Applebaum -1 Sap +1 Edwin VanCleef (argably the best Rogue card and must have in almost every deck) +2 Eviscerate (really weird that you dont have it).
Your introducing is somewhat wrong since this deck is not that bad against aggro but it really struggle against slower decks that can easily out value you in the late game also make sure that next time you dont put the clickbait title with false winrate since 10 games doesn't mean anything even more on casual that's what annoy me the most and the reason why i downvoted.
I know this deck is fun , unpredictable, every game is different but still i dont believe it is good enough for competitive perspective. (I have played ALOT of Thief Rogue myself in the past mounths who follows me knows this).
That's about it, GL and have fun.
I just love this deck! I also happen to be cursed, as all I face is other rogues but overall I love not only the concept but also the gameplay!
I believe that this deck can be quite competitive in this meta and I recommend giving this a try if you want to have a good time.
Here's a video showcasing the deck in action, I hope you all enjoy
I like this deck. So much fun. Thx u so much. Like
Ok came here to post because I doubted the no weapon removal tech but the list is actually pretty solid. Playing it at rank 5 where I love to sit and experiment and the list is doing better than than my own and Kibler's version. Stole a druid nourish for a turn 4 coin ramp into turn 5 ancient of war turn 6 lich king. DIscovered a sacrificial pact for a 0 mana demon kill (5 heal!)versus warlock. Even in the mirror I discovered edwin for a turn 10 12/12 and 14/14 versus rogue thanks to DK. Overall having fun so far, good luck everyone.
I think it is the striders that made the difference, give much better board presence than relying on discovering minions.
Yeah, and also you can just choose to not play the the cards you get from Lich King if it looks like you are going to cast Tess.
Nice deck! +1
I tried it a bit but didn't quite like some things, but I´m still trying this core but with some changes.
How are you doing against Spiteful decks (mainly druid)? I had a lot of problem vs big minions too early. Vilespines help but I lost a lot. Could be I am unlucky and they always get the 12/12 on turn 6, but I added an envenom weapon. It worked pretty well against slow decks since when you get the weapon going you can kill something every turn no matter the size, and you gain enough life back (at least if you also dred deadly poison) to make it not matter too much that you lose a lot of life. Even when I got the weapon to 4 power, it didn't always get me enough value against these sort of midrange decks, where they can snowball the board pretty fast behind various taunts.
I'm loving this deck. It's fun how the game play changes each game depending on the cards you get and it's no struggle to keep the lifesteal weapon active the whole game.
Only played a few games with it, but it holds up pretty well. Beat big spell mage, quest war, baku rogue, baku hunter, Hadronox druid.
Lost to cube lock...
-1 firefly - rotten applebaum
+ 2 Fal'dorei striders
A lot of the control games get close to or go to fatigue so the faldorei get a lot of value.
Just swapped out a backstab for a hench thug, but I'm not sure about it yet.
Creative deck, cheers.
Currently rank 4
I'm still loving the striders. I see you've shuffled them in to the list already though. I should cut the face collector, but for the luls I just can't. The Hench-clan hasn't been amazing at any point. I could probably trade him out for the second tar creeper, but I'm pretty bored with that card and I like to have an early minion or two that has a bit of punch in it.
Oh, how does the applebaum go in this deck? I haven't really played with it.
Ive just tried some casual games with it and it feels pretty consistant surprisingly. Ive won most of it but it was casual and im rank 11. I love Tess the most of this expansion so im happy to have it in the deck that works. Il play it more, maybe do some changes but thanks.
Sorry dude but i downvoted the deck for some reasons, first of all you say 70 WR! in the title, do you have any proof?
"Will add this section when the deck reaches 100 likes! (Aka never)" i truly despise this if your deck works and deserves attention / recognition do not worry dude it will happen.
I could not watch the video, it does not work for some reason.
Dont get me wrong, i wish you luck with your deck but i dont think it is any good, sadly.
That's just my opinion, i hope you understand.
Well, i think you missed a good opportunity. i would love to see some arguments not just "i'm heartbroken" It sounds childish of you.
GL, you'll need it.
Reinan23 Why be so down. I feel you are jelly.
I've made an account just to say thanks for this decklist. I feel like I can stand toe to toe against metadecks, while having fun, unrepettitve matches. This deck has a bit of an RNG aspect to it, some times the cards you get from other classes are not usable, sometimes you get stuff which just breakes the game (i.e Deathknight cards). But thats what makes it not borring. Every game is different.
The changes that I run:
-1 Tar Creeper
-1 Vilespine slayer (I Don't have a 2nd one lol)
+2 Faldorei strider (This has won me multiple games, but it depends on how early you get the spiders)
Cheers!
I'm missing valeera maybe thats why I'm loosing against jaina because of value
I am playing a similar deck, but I cut all the late-game value cards because late game seems to be the biggest weakness of the thief deck. Out of the 10 or so games I played the lich king, it was by-passed or removed, just felt like a waste of a turn.
Have really enjoyed using cheap-shot, I don't run a lot of draw (or extra value late game), so I find it helps keep my hand resources high while dealing with the board.
Thanks for posting the deck, maybe I will give it a few hours play to see if the late-game value can work. For anyone interested in my deck you can find it profile.
Thanks for the post Jsnep!
Also congratulations for your 1st published deck being so successful ;)
Any chance of us exchanging battletags so we can spectate, advise & discuss etc.? :)
