I use a 5-card C'Thun package in my mill rogue deck, and I'll be adding Valeera to that. You can get a very big C'Thun with Blade and Brann/Shadowcaster shenanigans, and the shadow reflections will only make it easier.
Quest Tempo Rogue? Add copy in your hand
Real question is: Does Auctionmaster Beardo refresh the hero power if you play him, then play a cheap spell, and then play the copied spell? You can't have more than one in your hand, but what if you get it out of your hand and then refresh your hero power is basically the point I'm getting at.
It's a passive hero power, I don't think it can be refreshed. Just gives you the Shadow Reflection at that start of each of your turns. Although it does day "during your turn", bad wording IMO. (Edit: Unless you get a new one instantly each time you use the old one, but I think that might be too broken.)
Maybe it can work. Its not a very overwhelming combo.
Beardo, Sinister strike number 1, Shadow Reflection SS 1, Sinister strike number 2, SR SS2, any magic damage card like thalnos or eviscerate for 4 more damage = 4 card combo for 16 damage. Not that good.
With Malygos you could do the same:
Maly, Coin, SR Coin, SS1, SS2 = 4 card combo for 14 damage.
Maybe its a better combo to find out yet.
The hate xD
Wait can you copy multiple cards during one turn? Like can you play a coin, then play another coin copied by shadow reflection, and then play like a backstab and play another backstab copied by a shadow reflection? Or does it go away after you play one card copied by shadow reflection?
If only there was somewhere you could find the answer to your question...
Oh wait! what's this?

I love the passive hero powers coming into standard! Also a very cool copy mechanic. Kinda like a targeted Mimic Pod!
Correct me if I'm wrong ,but doesn't this allow you to go infinite with jades.
Let me explain, I know that the hero power goes away after your turn is done and that its sudo capped at 5 mana. But one work around is playing Shadow Caster. Even just one is enough, see when you play your first shadow caster the hero power will copy it then you just use it on the already played shadowcaster. And as we know Shadow Casters effect reads add a 1/1 copy for 1 mana. Next turn you play whatever card you want up to 8 mana, you'd probably want a jade minion, and you copy the given card and your hero power gives you a second shadow caster for 1 mana. And unlike the Jade Druid, this combo doesn't get destroyed by Skulking Geist, because the original cost of the shadowcaster was 5.
That interaction isn't a problem for the same reason brann shadow caster combo decks weren't strong, takes too long to actually get to the "infinite" combo
The thing is that combo was way too clucnky and required way too much board space. At that time we didn't have things like VileSpine Slayer. You can just play a normal jade rogue with a shadowcaster and Valeera the hollow and it makes control matchups really easy, except for burn mage.
A lot of people seem to not like this card, but I personally think its great. I love the idea of rogue evasion and pseudo healing. Especially in a class with so much burn, this seems amazing. most of the cards coming out of KoFT seem to be for minion based control decks, likely without a lot of healing and more taunt. Turn 9 this, turn 10 thalnos, eviscerate, eviscerate, eviscerate, sinister, sinister for 23 burst no board or something like malygos coin coin prep eviscerate, sinister, sinister, sinister for 33 burst.
this seems like the dream, but I can totally see a combo rogue running this to devastate control. I know I will be super happy to try it out if I pack it.
So, say you're playing a bursty Miracle Rogue style deck. Turn 10, you play this, coin, hero power.
Next turn, untap, hero power, any random damage spell, eviscerate, then you have 2 more eviscerates. Or, play Leeroy, cold blood, now you have 2 more cold bloods, that's 18 damage. And if you had both cold bloods in hand, 22.
This is the beginning of a burst combo deck. I think it has real potential.
I recall people saying the quest was super bad completely unplayable until it was released. Seems people haven't learned their lesson you're not good enough to call it before it's tested please stop trying.
If you play headcrack and Shadow Reflection gets the copy of it and you play it too. Did you get 2 headcrack back next turn? :D Headcrack Army inc
yes you will get another headcrack
but a dead card most of the time
Tried many variations, im now enjoying mill standard hhe
I could be proven wrong, but this seems like the WORST deathknight hero by a long shot.
9 mana for a spell worse than Iceblock (Procs immediately, still can take damage, still vulnerable be burst), Then copy after after, which must cost less than 5 mana.
It does absolutely nothing for board state, does nothing for aggro, doesn't really work in control, as most of the cards you want to play later are more expensive than 5 mana.
It kinda works as a midrange card, but if you are relying on a 9 drop that takes time to actually be worth it in a mid range deck, all these new OP control stuff that has been released is just gonna steamroll you.
Does nothing for fatigue either, which is no longer a problem for control warriors or priests.
lets wait a bit and see how good it will actually be. i personally think the card is absolutely fantastic, atleast in wild (which is the format I mainly play): My first thought was Malygos Rogue. You will often combo your oponnent on 10 mana anyways, you often die and you often lose valuable combo pieces in the process of staying alive. with this new card, you can basically do it all: survive one more turn and gain an extra copy of one of your petals or sinister strikes. with an emperor tick on one or two combo pieces (mabey also on the deathnight card itself) everything could work out very smoothly
Let's not forget the interactions with Preparation will be more awkward than some people seem to believe : you basically can't copy efficiently Prep since the shadow will copy the spell you discounted with Prep (except for 6+ mana spells like Vanish). The same problem applies to Shadowstep, unless you have two things on the board worth bouncing.
The most believable use of a copied Prep would rather be to draw an extra free card if you have an Auctioneer on board when you play Valeera (since you won't have enough mana to do much right after having played Valeera, Prep-Evi/Sap/Shadowstrike/FoK will always be a way to do something when playing your Hero card. Also Valeera+Prep+Copied prep+ any playable spell are 4 card played, which means a Sherazin repop ;-)
