Behold the last card (that is not from a adventure) that has charge in it that we will ever get.
Gotta love the way this guy screams " I'll cut you down to size" when you play him. One of my favorite entry lines!
On its own, Chillblade Champion isn't very good.
With Blessing of Kings it's costly but a 7/6 Lifesteal that already gained value with Charge cannot be ignored.
With Spikeridged Steed... it's a 10 mana "fuck you" to the opponent.
Paladin already has Blessing of Kings, Corpsetaker, Truesilver Champion, Consecration, even Hammer of Wrath. And I'm sure there are others. That's some stiff competition, which will keep this card out of constructed decks. However, this is great in arena.
Ben Brode?
Might fill a role in Divine Shield Paladin IF it becomes viable. That deck will probably run Rallying Blade and Light's Sorrow as weapons and won't want Truesilver Champion. The 4 slot is just so crowded in Paladin.... Maybe in some budget handbuff deck. Blessing of Might seems powerful'ish. Allows you to race other aggro decks. Will have to see. Good but not great, bad but not horrible. Just hard to fit in somewhere. Definitely a nice pick in arena though.
Buffadin gets a nice 4 drop with charge and lifesteal..Can't wait to test this cards in my buffadin ;)
this card will be very good with my handbuff elementals.
100% im sure this card will see play
So a rush card with control effects.
Let's not pick: Worgen Rider, which is 1 mana less and fulfills the rush role
or
Wickerflame Burnbristle, which is 1 mana less and fulfills the control role.
No, let's pick this instead which is 1 mana more...
Underwhelming, but he might see play in a budget handbuff deck. With one buff from Smuggler's Run, for example, he becomes a 4/3 with charge and lifesteal for 4 mana, which is solid value.
Every class is going to have more access to Lifesteal though. I'm positive Warlock will have its own Lifesteal mechanics. Even more interesting is what his new Hero Power might be. Could even be a Lifesteal on command!
This card seems pretty meh right now, but could have potential.
Face Paladin ?
So you hit face and heal at the same time ... defensive playstyle mixed with aggressive playstyle
10/10 arena card
I love it when they say "Lifesteal is a new mechanic". Ehem, how about Wickerflame Burnbristle which is here since release of Gadgetzan?
And about this card, it is a little bit an odd case. Charge is used for aggressive gameplay and lifesteal is used for control gameplay. It could be used for both type of decks but I don't think it is good for neither of them.
misstress of pain?
Well, new, it's called a new mechanic because it's something we didn't have much before, only two cards, blame Stonetusk Boar for few mechanics
Kinda like Gnomeregan Infantry , he protecc, but he also attacc
Hammer of Wrath was used as a good cycle card in earlier sets, why not use this as a good midrange heal card? Will probably go up in value when Ragnaros Lightlord rotates out of standard.
It's powerful enough from a tempo viewpoint if a 2 drop has to trade into it, the idea most speculated is that you go face with it, and IF you do heal for damage dealt past a minion's HP(overkill or overdamage) it will pretty much be decent, as the oponent NEEDS to trade into it to avoid further value
